Beautiful 2 bedroomed stone cottage in the centre of Crich
The accommodation comprises two circa 18c cottages with many original features a short distance from the centre of the picturesque village of Crich with all the key amenities you might need a short walk away. The cottage looks onto a cottage garden with off the road parking, seating and BBQ. Crich is an historic village famous for it community activities and the tram museum. This 4 room property has an additional toilet on the first floor and toilet and shower room on the ground floor. As you can see from the pictures it has many historic features and the under floor heating very effectively keeps it warm complimented by the log burner. The South facing cottage garden provides a great place to relax in the sun.. The community is great and although the village is small it has retained its heart with a wide range of amenities close by. These include a mini supermarket, post office, butcher and a great baker (the loaf cafe), but I must admit the candle stick maker has had to close! There is also a wide range near by places to eat including the Black Swan, a fish and chip takeaway and an Indian restaurant. A short walk from the cottage takes you to views over the Derwent valley world heritage site and many walk options including the Cromford canal (which you can also cycle) taking you to the historic Arkwright mills and the tourist scene of Matlock Bath.

This is the forth time we have stayed here and it is still perfect for our needs. It does cold at night in winter and it was very cold outside for our stay. It is lovely and warm downstairs, however the large bedroom needs more blankets on the bad which had been provided. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will return.

A beautiful and comfortable cottage a lovely village. Perfect location for several attractions in Derbyshire, we would recommend Heights of Abraham and the Critch Tramway Village. Fantastic and welcoming hosts, we would stay here again.
A super warm cottage was just what we needed, great base for walking, including a very interesting village walk describing local buildings, plus plenty of local facilities. Will be back.
From the moment we walked in it felt like home. Wonderful property with everything you could need and more provided. Fantastic location and great communication from hosts
The cottage is very welcoming and is equipped with everything that you may need. It is very central to the lovely village with shops and pub almost within touching distance. The off-road parking is a boon although there was always space on the road if more than one car was used. All-in-all an excellent stay and no doubt we will return as there is so much to see in the area and the cottage makes a wonderful base.
Good clean cottage.
Would liked to have seen details of how to get tv working and info on places ti eat and visit.
This property was listed as having two bathrooms.I disagree there is a ground floor showeroom and a first floor toilet and wash basin. I mention this because we had our 14 year old grandaughter with us and wanted her to have her own bathroom this is why we booked this cottage.
This was a lovely little cottage with easy parking outside. The location was ideal for us visiting family in Crich. The only slight problem was that the living room and kitchen which had underfloor heating was lovely and toasty, but the bathrooms were very cold. This meant walking out of the shower and quickly getting dry and warm.
This is an ideal place for families or couples who want time in the local area but off the busy track.
We had an enjoyable stay. The Location is great. Owners were very helpful, providing information on local activities/restaturants etc. We can thoroughly recommend the Pizza night at the local pub (The Cliff Inn). Property was very well equipped. Only thing letting it down was the lack of cleanliness from previous occupants. The Sofa cushions were covered in what looked like Cat hairs. It did not spoil our stay though. Thank you
Lovely property only downside was that there was nowhere within walking distance to have a meal for our 35th anniversary. The local pub didn’t do food, the Indian was closed on the Monday as was the butchers and spar shop so we were unable to buy anything with which to make our own meal. Disappointing so we left a day early.
Really lovely cottage, close to local amenities. The hosts supplied everything you need to make the stay as easy as possible. So well equipped. Communication was also excellent. Would definitely recommend.
Cosy cottage - heating system took some getting used to.
Quite a bit of street noise as in major road into village. More disturbing in summer.
Great location. Nice to have shops etc in village.
We loved our few days in this quirky cottage - it had everything we needed for our short break - comfy beds, a well stocked kitchen plus Netflix etc for a quiet night in.
The cottage is centrally located in Crich and has a lovely warm and welcoming feel. The fixtures and fittings are all of a high standard and it is very well equipped and comfortably furnished. A characterful and charming cottage for our short stay. Thank you.
