The old Sasso districts of Matera are what make it a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Artist's House is an opportunity to stay within a modernised dwelling. It's a narrow, arched roof "vault" of the style inhabited for centuries, turned into a modern apartment. It's compact, but it's comfortable. The owner/manager Giovanni is very helpful and ready to provide lots of information on the Sassi and the available tours. As with a lot of Southern European historic centres, the area around can be a bit noisy into the early hours, so maybe bring ear plugs if that bothers you.

Posizione strategica!

Il proprietario Giovanni è stato molto preciso e disponibile fornendoci moltissime info via whatsapp, molto prima del nostro arrivo. Posizione eccellente come punto di partenza per la visita ai sassi e vicinissimo ai principali ristoranti. Unico appunto: la limitata disponibilità di acqua calda (boiler elettrico 1.2KW da 30 litri con tempo di recupero di 2 ore) e la scarsa aspirazione della cappa sui fornelli, forse voluta per la mancanza di un aspiratore nel finestrino del bagno. Per il resto, l'appartamento è comunque ottimo per una vacanza di pochi giorni. Ci torneremo! Grazie per tutto Giovanni!

Abbiamo soggiornato da Giovanni due notti. Giovanni è molto disponibile e meticoloso..... Eravamo 2 adulti + 2 bambini. La casa è molto piccola, come comunque specificato nell'annuncio, ma per noi andava benissimo visto che l'idea era di girare molto durante il giorno. La posizione della casa è stategica. Consigliatissimo

Authentic Monk Experience

This is an excellent property for one or two people. The location within the Sassi made me the envy of my friends. Good space, ensuite laundry, effective heating and cooling. The host has an exhaustive knowledge of local bars and attractions. The very cute white bulldog at the end of the street is named Nina

Soggiorno nei Sassi

Abbiamo soggiorato per 3 notti da Giovanni, persona gentilissima sin dalle comunicazioni via whatsapp. Ci ha tento il parcheggio e nonostante fossimo arrivati prima del check in ci ha lasciato le chiavi e ci ha dato tutte le ultime informazioni. L'appartamento è come si vede dalle foto, divano letto angolo cottura con tutto il necessario per eventuali prepapazioni. La posizione è realmente strategica 2minuti a piedi con il passeggino e sei davanti alla chiesa di San Pietro Caveoso. Consigliato sotto tutti i punti di vista!

Tutto come immaginato

Il locale, anche se non grandissimo, è vivibile e dotato di tutti i comfort (anche di più!) Zona silenziosa, all'interno del sasso caveoso, in posizione strategica per visitare i sassi e la Matera "moderna". Complimenti a Giovanni.

Matera trip

Host was wonderful providing lots of information about the city. Room had everything we needed. Lots of wonderful restaurants in the area and great places to capture beautiful pictures. Giovani even helped us find a parking spot which was hugely helpful

All'interno del Sasso Caveoso

L'appartamento è ricavato in una ex-bottega sita all'interno del Sasso Caveoso e quindi in posizione strategica per la visita di Matera. Abbiamo soggiornato in 3 (2 adulti e un bambino) e nonostante la dimensione ridotta dell'appartamento è risultato completamente attrezzato per ogni necessità (unico punto di attenzione per chi vorrà soggiornarvi il letto singolo è posto su un soppalco non adatto a bambini piccoli). Giovanni si è prodigato per facilitarci l'arrivo a Matera con descrizioni dettagliate e trovandoci il parcheggio prima del nostro arrivo. La casa è all'interno del sasso e quindi non raggiungibile in auto che va lasciata a circa un chilometro sopra l'abitazione, ma la fatica è ben ripagata dalla posizione. In conclusione la location è consigliatissima per chiunque voglia provare a vivere all'interno del quartiere dei sassi.

Piccolo ma perfetto per un breve soggiorno

Posizione ottima nel cuore del sasso caveoso.avevamo solo poche ore a disposizione per visitare la città, ma da lì siamo riusciti a vedere tantissimo, perdendoci tra le viuzze meravigliose della parte vecchia dei sassi. Host gentilissimo.

Vivere nei sassi di Matera

Giovanni e è un host molto disponibile. Il suo monolocale si trova nel sasso Caveoso. E' piccolo ma non manca proprio nulla e lo spazio è gestito molto bene. Noi siamo riusciti a stare bene ed eravamo in tre. Lo consiglio!!

Gerne wieder

Das Haus ist mitten in der wunderschönen Sassi. In unmittelbarer Nähe findet man alles , was das Herz begehrt. Cafés, Restaurants, Apotheke und einen kleinen Supermarkt. Es ist zwar sehr klein, hat aber alles, was man braucht um für einige Tage die Sassi und Umgebung zu erkunden. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter klappte problemlos. Wir konnten sogar auf deutsch miteinander schreiben. Er gab uns sehr viele Tipps für Ausflüge und war sofort zur Stelle als wir ihn brauchten. Gerne wieder.

Piccolo appartamento posizionato nel centro del sasso caveoso che ti permette di visitare il cuore di Matera senza alcun problema. Nel monolocale è presente tutto il necessario e la pulizia è ottima, l’unica pecca è che forse per tre persone l’ambiente può risultare stretto. A parte questo, Giovanni è stato disponibilissimo e ci ha dato molti consigli su cosa visitare e anche dove trovare un parcheggio non a pagamento. Vivamente consigliato.

Magica Matera

Siamo stati trattati molto bene. L'appartamento è piccolo ma organizzato splendidamente (ikea docet!). Credo di aver visto la lavatrice più piccola di sempre! :-) Le foto dello spazio sono rispondenti. Clima e Boiler ok. La doccia richiede attenzione nel non allagare troppo il pavimento. Dormito bene. Giovanni è stato molto ligio alle regole anti-covid e ci ha fatto piacere. Attenzione che c'è la ZTL e bisogna trovare un parcheggio libero. Giovanni, gentilissimo, ci aveva tenuto all'arrivo un parcheggio in via del castello che è anche alberata ed alla fine non era molto lontano.

Soggiorno nei sassi

L'appartamento si trova nel sasso caveoso,al centro di questo sorprendente quartiere. Pulito e accessoriato di tutto: non manca nulla. Unico e particolare,l'appartamento è pieno di vita e colore. Giovanni è stato molto premuroso e generoso nella sua ospitalità. È stato emozionante poter soggiornare in un pezzo di storia. Grazie ancora a Giovanni per la sua disponibilità. Lo consiglio a chi vuole scoprire e vivere questa meravigliosa città!

El propietario sé preocupó y estuvo atento a todos los detalles. La casa es pequeña, pero con todo lo imprescindible para pasar unos días. El lugar es acogedor y está bien ubicado.
