Stunning & peaceful location

Very spacious accommodation, just as described with a stunning sea view (when weather allowed). Ideally located for Lost Gardens of Helligan & Eden Project both close by, good local amenities & pretty small beaches within walking distances. Had a lovely stay & would recommend.

The location is stunning and ideal

The furniture is dated and worn, beds are uncomfortable-with two singles pushed together, bedding so thin and worn, including the pillows and duvets (we had luckily brought blankets). The TV old and inaccessible (useful in wet days, having access to streaming sites which we can log into using our own accounts costs nothing). However, the location is great! Easy to get to most places and to walk to many. It was super chilled.

Cornwall with a view

The property was well proportioned and spacious, kitchen was equipped with all mod cons. Excellent views across the golf course and out to sea. The coast path to Charlestown currently closed due to rock fall. The Eden project and many gardens within a few miles, overall a great location for a family holiday.

The picturesque views over the golf course and sea are infact far better than advertised in photos, Stunning little place ❤ Clean, tidy and peaceful. The perfect get away especially when you are not use to aqua blue sea views and pristine green landscapes. This little gem is actually BETTER than advertised 'twas such a glorious experience upon our Arrival and throughout our stay. ❤

Cornwall's best kept secret

We loved our stay in Cottage No6 (upstairs). All arrangements were communicated very well and the location was just perfect! We were close to the beach and coastal path and we will recommend this for a family holiday!

Fabulous sea views and very peaceful

Only problem was finding it, drove past the sign as it was a bit overgrown, and enchance looked like a farm entrance which I think may be somewhat true as there was a few bits of farming bits as you drove in. Loved the views and flat was really great with everything you may need in the kitchen, and really good quality. Great communication and paperwork about our stay from Carole was very helpful. You can't check in untill allotted time but we were happy just to sit at the tables and benches enjoying the wonderful views. It was so so peaceful and tranquil you could hear a pin drop. Weather not that kind but we still enjoyed our stay and did manage to walk to the local beach when the weather improved. Turn left then left by the Church down a steep hill, we did manage it as I found a stick to help me as a have arthritis in my knees. We didn't want to leave as weather started to settle. Bedrooms are massive easily sleep 5 adults or a a big family. Great base to explore all the great old fashioned fishing places of my childhood, Mevagissey and Charlestown worth a visit. Would definitely recommended this property.

Lovely place to chil

Lovely place for a relaxing holiday or even to get out and about. Property was very warm when weather changed on evenings and that was without heating on. Couldn’t ask for better views from cottage. Would definitely book again to stay here. Some areas off cleaning could have been better. Never used microwave and it looked as if it had been missed on cleaning plan a few times. Glasses and crockery had to have wash too before using, but that was simple to rectify. Over all wouldn’t put me off staying here. Will be booking again.!

Porthpean property

The property has an excellent location with a great view. We were asked to bring our own bedding and towels. A compromise was achieved with only towels required. Property is in need of updating. Cooker top and T V. as an example. Bed headboard broken. There was wiring for satellite and a dish outside but no Sky box. It felt a little tired inside. Well located for touring around Cornwall .

Toller Ausblick

About the host

There are 6 cottages at this location each unit is slightly different. The units can be rent singularly or together thereby allowing families to be on holiday together but having some privacy within each unit.

We manage cottage no 4 , 5 & 6. They sit next door to each other in a small terrace of six properties overlooking the sea on Porthpean Golf course but all share the same great view of St Austell Bay. This unit is THE LOOKOUT and is a first floor apartment. We take bookings separately for each cottage or they can be booked together thereby accommodation a larger group between the three properties. Great for whole families Mum, Dad, grandparents & kids who want to be together but have some privacy

Why they chose this property

We have owned these cottages for nearly 10 years and we still marvel at the super sea view every time we visit. It is what convinced us to purchase in the first place.
