Quirky accommodation in a lovely location.

Lou’s view was a very comfortable cottage which suited our needs whilst we were there for a couple of days. The only thing that I feel that needs to be considered to be updated is the shower in the grey bathroom as the hot/cold water knob didn’t turn so we felt the water was tepid. The hot water boost wasn’t that effective either even when we turned it in early so 2 out of the 4 of us had cold showers. The view at the back of the building was beautiful especially when you have walked to the top of the hill it’s in a nice location.

Nice compact property with lovely decor.

Not really suitable for a party with a dog as there is no garden or rear access to the hills at the back.

Home from Home

Inside the house was very clean and tidy and fully equipped with everything you would need for your stay. We went when it was really hot so the bedrooms were quite stuffy, but Louise had provided a fan if required. In the house you could not hear the road noise but as they was no back garden, the only place to sit was in the front court yard next to the road. You do get used to it. Overall lovely accommodation.

Lovely place

On arrival the place smelt of dog urine, the place was very dusty and the water went cold in the shower very quickly! Very nice bedrooms, a quirky little cottage!

Some Good Some Bad

The property itself is very nice, quite quirky but full of character and clean. The location however, is not ideal. It is on a main road which is very busy more often than not. It would have been better if there was a back/side door that you could get out on to the hill/countryside especially if you have dogs. The busy road also makes it noisy to sleep at night. The property is very warm so you need to sleep with a window open but if you open the window, the road noise is worse. This cottage itself is lovely and ideal for a getaway but it would be even better if it was in a more sleep/dog friendly location.

Lovely cosy cottage

Very comfortable and quirky property. Quick communication from owner when questioning a problem which was rectified easily. Location a bit tricky to locate especially in the dark, but otherwise can highly recommend for a cosy and very comfortable stay

Beautiful, cute cottage

The four of us, and two dogs loved our short stay in this beautiful quirky cottage. Everything was perfect, the area is gorgeous with plenty of walks in the countryside. The Rising Sun is 500m away and is dog friendly and also people friendly. The food was excellent and the staff amazing. We WILL be back, thank you Louise

Its is a beautiful cott

It minutes away from shops and pubs, every room came with a shower room which was fantastic, there was nothing we could really point out. Heating in every room was perfect. Facilities were spot on and cottage was perfect. I couldn't locate the cottage immediately but Louisa was super quick in responding to my messages and we checked-in in not time after the brief call.

Loved our stay

Very well presented cottage with pretty well everything you could need included. Two lovely en-suites, one for each bedroom and a downstairs W.C was handy and a very comprehensively fitted kitchen. The only downside we found during our stay was as it is alongside a fairly busy B road the traffic noise often woke us up around 5am as it started to get busy, (we’re not used to traffic noise where we live) we did sleep better in the very comfy beds as we got used to this. Louise was very helpful and allowed me to charge my part electric car during my stay.

Quaint cottage

Have just got back from a very enjoyable break with our two dogs at Lou's View. The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable, if a little on the small side. The owner was very friendly and helpful prior to our stay. I would have given it 5 stars but because it has no rear garden or exit we were having to take the dogs out on lead as it is on a very busy road every time they needed to go out. However this was not too much of a problem and if we wanted to go to that area again I would not hesitate to rebook.
