Fienile, whose name means hay barn, is the newest unit at Borgo La Chiusa, it was totally restored in 2014, using top quality materials.
It develops over two floors, a surface of more than 200 square meters, private gated garden with views, sunshine and shade.
Accessed through a private gate, the barn boasts a grand entrance with a 3 meter arch and an elegant staircase.

Below sits a bathroom, a bedroom with two single beds, a wonderful open space kitchen/living/reading/dining room of 70 sq meters leading straight in to the garden.
A marvelous stone fireplace sits at the center of the living room.

On the first floor sit 3 double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom and 1 twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The marvelous original brick structure offers magnificent lighting and views over the rolling countryside.

The house is fully fitted and has floor heating/cooling system and air conditioning units in all the bedrooms.

Amazing stay

We had such a wonderful vacation and highly recommend staying here. The villa was gorgeous and had everything we needed. The views were spectacular. We were 7 adults and two babies and the fact that we had four rooms with ensuite bathrooms was so convenient. It offered the privacy of a hotel with the downstairs layout allowing us all to be together throughout the day. Francesca was a gracious host and happy to help whenever needed. Since we stayed in April, it wasn't possible to make use of the pool (it was warm enough during one of the days, but they were not able to get the pool ready given bad weather the previous week), but that is to be expected. If we had to nitpick, I'd say the towels could be softer, and the bedding and toiletries could be nicer, but we all did just fine with it.We left hoping we'd be coming back again soon! It was simply amazing.

Superb Tuscan villa

Great location. Good facilities. And 5 days of dry and warm weather made for a great break. Children in the pool everyday; adults needed it to be a couple of degrees warmer. But it was only May!

We hosted our friends at this villa and it was an incredible experience! The villa is immaculate and Francesca did an amazing job ensuring all necessary items (cookingware, towels, etc.) were in the villa. The outdoor space is flawless, and we spent quality time in the outside seating areas listening to the birds, enjoying the sunshine, and taking in the glorious Tuscan landscape! I cannot recommend this location enough. For a couple days, there were people in the adjacent unit, but we never heard them and only saw them twice.

Unbelievable!

The main house at this property is fantastic! It provided us everything we needed for our 2 week visit. I highly recommend this property to anyone with larger groups.

Lovely property but kitchen equipment is basic

Great pool, air conditioned bedrooms are great in the heat. 2nd twin bedroom a bit small. Main bedroom lacks a wardrobe or hanging space for clothes. Small kitchen with necessary facilities but basic. Needs more cups and sharp knives. TV is terrestrial Italian only. Satellite box is too old for current satellite TV.

The property has been lovingly renovated

We picked this home for all the extended family. Ages from 5-73. Suited all. Beautifully renovated with lovely bedrooms and ensuites, great indoor living area and relaxing patio/garden space which we used basically all day and evening. The property is very close to Siena so we pooped in and out most days to escape the crowds. Thoroughly recommend the house for a relaxing family holiday as everyone can find a different space to relax in.

Absolutely Amazing!

Our group had the pleasure of staying in the large Fenile unit for a week in June and our stay couldn't have been any better! The villa was absolutely gorgeous, spacious open layout, full stocked and very centrally located in Tuscany. The property manager was always quick to respond & answer any questions we had. She also arranged for us to have chef Elisa come in to cook a welcome dinner for our group (highly recommend you do this, it was fantastic!) and also arranged a private driver and van to take us around for wine tours and tastings so we could all enjoy the wine. Francesca our driver was great - she was very personable and shared numerous interesting facts with us! The villa was easily accessible to several wonderful towns for touring and we all are already talking about planning another trip and coming back to this villa! Thank you for a wonderful week!!

Absolutely Fantastic!!

I looked for months for a villa to rent and was so happy when I came across Borgo La Chuisa and the Fienile unit. Simone (the manager) was so easy to deal with and gave me so much information before I committed to rent. This was a special trip for me, my daughter, my niece, and friend. Upon arriving, we were in awe driving up the road to this beautiful property. The girls could not believe this was where we were staying. We each had our own room with our own bathroom. And the views were so stunning. The whole place was spotless and just beautiful. I had arranged for a welcome dinner from Simone prior to arriving and Francesca, the owner of the property, cooked for us our first night and it was absolutely delicious. We could not believe we were not in a restaurant. The food, the wine, the dessert, were all amazing. Staying here was the highlight of our whole Italy trip and we all can't wait to come back some day! Thank you Simone and Francesca. You made my birthday trip Perfect!!

Fulfilled our bucket list!

Our first impression of the villa was breathtaking! And then it just got better! The kitchen was well appointed, furniture very comfortable and bathrooms outstanding. Everyone was comfortable in the ensuite bedrooms and it was nice to have space to spread out. We cooked about half our meals and found local restaurants for the other days while seeing the other small towns. Then there was the outside space which was delightful for cocktail hour!

Beautiful Tuscany villa

We very much enjoyed our stay. Spent four nights at the villa, great location close to Siena, Florence and the Chianti region. Villa was very elegant with great views of the area - more beautiful in person. We used the fireplace most nights. There is a grocery nearby with the basics for a comfortable stay. Our host was gracious and available to assist as requested. Would recommend and hope to come back!

Beautiful villa close to Siena

What a great vacation! There were four couples plus our driver. All of the couples stayed upstairs and our driver was in the downstairs bedroom. The unit was advertised as some bedrooms as doubles and some as twins. However, Francesca graciously converted all four of the upstairs bedrooms into doubles. We did have a red wine "accident" (long story) which caused some damage to the paint, but the deduction from our damage deposit was very reasonable. We absolutely would recommend this property to friends and family.

Borgo la Chiusa was fantastic!!!

Borgo la Chiusa was clean, well maintained and in a great location to do day trips around Tuscany. I can't say enough good things about the owner Francesca. She went above and beyond helping me find medical care and saved my vacation. The house was perfect for the week.

Lovely, roomy apartment

The apartment is lovely, well appointed, spacious, very comfortable. It offers fabulous outdoor spaces as well, just as pictured. Extra bonus is the beautiful view of Tuscany. It is located about a 20 minute drive outside Siena, which is a good location if you are driving around Tuscany. However, there are not any resources close by, like a grocery store, coffee shop, or restaurants. The closest grocery store is a ten minute drive and it was small and didn't offer much. If you are looking for peace and quiet and to get away from it all, this is a great place!

Perfect country respite

My husband and I were so fortunate to find Porcilia. It was a truly delightful, peaceful place after our stays in Rome and Florence. It was extremely clean and well furnished. We especially enjoyed the outside Tuscan grille. The owner was extremely attentive to our requests. There are several restaurants and a good market nearby. I have raved about it to several people and would love to return when the weather is warmer and we could enjoy the pool and outside patio.

a heavenly destination

This was a perfect place to stay close to Sienna but with the peace of the countryside. The owners were very helpful giving google earth maps to the local supermarket and the house itself was spotless and very well equipped. The surroundings are picture postcard beautiful. The house is well situated to the motorway making it easy to get around. Close to the COOP supermarket was a great restaurant, called the green Frog(?) great food and good value also an ice-cream parlour just across the road. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending La Chiusa. just one question does Tuscany have more stars or is just a bit closer to heaven and therefore easier to see them!

Quintessential Tuscan Escape!

We had the most amazing stay at this beautiful villa. Everything about it was picturesque and relaxing. This villa has all of the modern amenities but still exudes Tuscan charm. Pre- visit communication was smooth and very prompt. The highlight of the stay was the dinner cooked for us the first night by Chef Vanna and Francesca. I am not exaggerating when I say it was by far the best meal we had during our trip to Tuscany and we ate at many very nice restaurants. If you are booking a stay I would highly recommend trying to schedule a dinner. Francesca was so welcoming and there was nothing better than sitting on the veranda after a long day with a glass of wine and gazing out at the garden and countryside. This was the perfect retreat for 3-4 couples and was a good location for exploring Tuscany. You will need a car as nothing is walkable but don't let that deter you. You will not regret booking a stay here!

A Tuscan Dream

The property is as fabulous as it looks in the pictures. It is located in tranquil countryside close to Siena and is a fantastic base to discover the area or do absolutely nothing! We loved it. Francesca is a fantastic host with great recommendations. The house has its own AC in every room and easy access to a gorgeous pool. Even when it’s hot in the summer, it’s easy to feel comfortable. Highly, highly recommend it!
