Spectacular location with your very own personal sunrise.

A deceptively large property which manages to be both in the heart of, and on the edge of, the village at the same time. It has all the amenities you would expect so that you can comfortably enjoy your stay. Communication with Isy was excellent. This is your chance to stay in a French Hill Top Village. The views at sunrise are indescribable, so you'll have to come and see them for yourself.

Lovely Property

Lovely property but it doea not have any air conditioning so was unbearably hot. The property was very quirky in a great location but we were charged 15 euros each for linens and towels which were very poor.

Unique experience

We loved our time in this special house. It was so quirky but with everything that we needed for an enjoyable and comfortable stay. The view is beautiful and the village is very special. The only thing that I would recommend is some mosquito screens on the windows as there were quite a few around during our stay. Highly recommended

Great village house

What a find! Stunning position, magnificent views, genuine character and excellent plumbing! It’s a hazard if you are tall or have a disability but the many levels and floors offer a real opportunity to live a little in the past. Tourette sur Loup is a lovely village too. If the bedding was of better quality this would be a five star property.

Unforgettable. We will make sure to come back.

Difficult to truly the describe the joy we felt staying in this three storey cliff-side house in the beautiful medieval village of Tourrettes-sur-Loup. The view from the windows is truly breathtaking - overlooking a deep valley and guiding your gaze all the way to the Mediterranean Sea - and the town is charming. There is free parking right outside the old town, an 8 minute walk, and you can easily walk to any of the alluring shops, grocers, boucherie, boulangerie etc ... in town. The pace is relaxed , the people friendly and the restaurants are lovely. Although the house is about 450 year old and has kept a fair bit of its medieval looks, it features a kitchen with a convection stove-top and a great oven. No bathrooms on the main floor, but nice ones upstairs and downstairs, adjoining the rooms. We were there before the heat wave, which was great as there is no air conditioning (which would be quite difficult to install IMHO) but the breeze from any and all of the windows was heavenly! Having drinks on the terrace while watching the swallows hunt right in front of our noses is a memory I am not likely to forget. We left as the heat wave started; my feeling is that it would have been very hot in there at that time, so there are probably some favoured travel times for this place, but this is a personal judgement. The one real caveat is that even they have plenty of room for families (smaller beds for children, etc ...) the terrace, which is cliff-side, has a very low stone wall so that the view can be enjoyed while sitting down. This, in my view, makes the terrace (which can be closed of course) less safe for younger children, especially on a spot where there are two or three steps from one level of the terrace to the other, and where the protective wall is less than two foot high. I doubt anything has ever happened there in 450 years, but I do feel it should be mentioned. Building that banister higher would truly kill the concept of that terrace, so I can understand why it is the way it is. Nevertheless, I recommend this place very, very highly. We left with a heavy heart as there is something quite magical about it. We sincerely wish to come back one day.

Tourrettes in March

Breathtaking medieval village with lovely home overlooking the local hills & valleys. Easy multi-day parking at free public lot at edge of village. Easy walk. Home has very modern well equipped kitchen and updates throughout. Great local restaurants abound in village along with interesting wine boutiques. Leah’s was great source for local regional Bellet wines.

A gem in the middle of a small medieval village

The house is exactly as described in the listing. First, we highly recommend this house and would definitely stay again. Here are the highlights and pointers:There are 2 large free parking lots at the entrance to the village. There is a pathway from the lower lot, under a bridge, that leads directly to the village and is less than 10 minute walk to the house. We rented an electric vehicle and there is a Wiiiz charger with 2 ports in the upper lot (50 Route de la Madeleine, 06140, Tourettes-sur-loup - also convenient address to find the parking lots). The house is charming and very comfortable. We stayed in the upstairs bedroom. There is a terrace with table and chairs and is the perfect place for breakfast and views (even in Dec/Jan!). There are a few things you may find helpful to know: There is a washing machine and dryer in the kitchen, but the owner does not provide detergent. We recommend bringing soap for bathing. There is ample shelf and cupboard space, but no closets or hangers. There are plenty of extra warm comforters and several pillows to choose from, but they only provide 1 bath towel per person and a hand towel. We also had to buy more toilet paper. The kitchen is well stocked, including basic spices and sugar. The property manager was away for the holidays but was extremely responsive to emails and we managed just fine.We highly recommend a dinner at Cinq. 5 course dinner, menu changes daily. Run by a charming couple. Best meal.

A truly unique place to stay

Staying there is like stepping back 500 years without the downsides of medieval life. The three story stone house with large exposed beams and the remains of a "walk-in" cooking fireplace adds to the "another place and time" experience. The rooms are spacious with good light, the kitchen well equipped and the beds comfortable. The view is of cliffs and valleys with the sea in the distance and even a waterfall. Although we did not meet the owner, communication by Whatsapp worked fine. The only negative, and it didn't bother us, is that the free parking lot is a less than ten minutes walk away. Only a problem if it's raining. Would love to stay there again.

Thank you for all

We had 2 wunderfull weeks in Tourrettes-sur-Loup in the Linton house. The house is well equiped and cozy. Tourrettes-sur-Loup is a nice old village which is well situated to reach nearer surroundings as well as the cost within a short space of time. We visited the nice villages nearby, Nice and Menton, used rainy days for museum visits, did some hicking tours in the hills around and made a trip to Gorges de Verdon as well. Summarizing we can say we had a relaxing and interesting time here in the south of France.

Magical Stay

This property was amazing. There are stunning views from every room and it is located in the heart of the old village. You can walk out your door to find local artisans and amazing restaurants just steps away. There was plenty of space for all of us. The only downside is the accessibility. It was challenging to get strollers, suitcases, etc. to the house because there are no cars in the old village. It was well worth this effort because the peace and quiet that comes with no cars made it so special. I would absolutely come back and I highly recommend. The town is a hidden gem and you will not be disappointed!

This is truly a magical spot. Right in the center of this beautiful medieval village with stunning views of a Roman Aqueduct. Every corner of this property is filled with history and taste. The village has some amazing artisans and several restaurants including 2 Michelin rates ones. We have stayed at dozens of rental properties all over the world and this one is on the top of our list.

Cliffside Magic in Tourettes-sur-Loupe

You won't find a more charming, old world, rental in Southern France. This house is located in the medieval section of Tourettes, perched on the cliff-face of the gorge with a truly spectacular view extending all the way to the sea. Walk a few paces up the narrow cobbled lanes every morning for coffee and pastries at the village boulangerie, shop the weekly farmer's market, dine at any number of excellent restaurants (including at least two or three with Michelin stars)... all within a five minute walk. On top of all that, the house manager is the best ever: cheerful, responsive and professional. You will NOT be disappointed with this rental.

Amazing home and location

If you want to experience a medieval home in a picturesque village with modern amenities, this is the place! I could tell that this home belonged to a family and it was not just an investment property. The view was amazing, the home and village is quite charming. The host and house manager were excellent in their communications. As an English speaker, i was concerned about communication but that was not an issue. I would stay here again and highly recommend this lovely home.

Historic and Memorable Stay

Marie's place was awesome. A ton of space, beautiful porch and window views, comfortable beds, amenities, etc. To stay in such a historic town was incredible. Plenty of dining options as well as spots to enjoy a glass of wine if you don't want to stay in. Enjoy a nice walk through town and visit the many shops. Great pastry/bake shop in the main square. We were fortunate to enjoy our last eve at the in town pub watching France play a Euro Cup soccer match (this excellent pub is outside of the main village on a back street leading to one of the overflow parking lots). All of this is a 10-15 min drive to the historic towns of Vence and St Paul de Vence, 30 min drive to Nice, Old Nice, Cannes and Antibes. An hour drive to Monaco to spectate some spectacular yahts and cars. Very easy to get around to and within the various towns with Google maps (or Apple). Our teenage sons enjoyed our stay and all the spots we visited (mentioned above)... just wish we had a few more days! Savor every minute at Marie's place and the beautiful town of Tourrettes sur Loup.

Short stay in a delightful home

My Grandson Vince and I are on a Parfum Quest. We selected this home to be in the middle of activities planned. And what a home it is! Long views. Charming interior. Had me wondering and imagining all those who lived here over the hundreds years before we stepped in. Comfortable beds No shortage of hot water Electric and plumbing modernized Excellent communication w owner and manager. Agenda: Classes in Grasse at Galimard Exploring Parfum shops in Nice including Galleria Lafayette Lunch and beach French Riviera. Uber was a better choice for me rather than rental car on twisty turny high speed roads. Our trip was short. We didn’t get to visit the nearby perfume factories, or museums. Next time….
