Stunning ,family-friendly private villa with pool, sunny garden & sea views

Our beautiful, spacious villa is ideal for families and groups of friends looking for a relaxing holiday all year round. With a private sunny south facing garden having stunning sea and mountain views. Shade from the hot sun is available on the terrace or under our oak tree. The garden gate leads to our large pool with separate children's area.

Free, high speed broadband is available throughout the property, including the garden area.

All 3 bedrooms are en-suite with the master bedroom upstairs featuring a boutique-style wet room and a a sun-soaked balcony - the perfect place for a morning coffee whilst enjoying the views as far as Gibraltar and the Atlas Mountains in Morocco.

The villa is very child-friendly no matter what age your kids are - from a large, safe garden to the pool, which has a shallow, sectioned off area for little ones. Feel free to use our pool toys, tree swing, buckets & spades, baby cot (excludes bedding) and high chair.

Whilst the pool is shared with two other villas you will see from the reviews that you will more often than not have the pool to yourselves. The pool is accessed through a locked gate at the end of the garden, giving parents extra piece of mind.

Just 25 minutes away from Malaga airport we are Ideally located in a peaceful, quiet residential location, just 5 minutes by car from the beach or a 20 minute walk. Shops, bars and restaurants are all just minutes away. Marbella is 15 minutes away, Puerto Banus 20 minutes and Sierra Nevada ski resort is also just 2 hours away.

We have a fully-equiped kitchen with oven, dishwasher, washing machine, American fridge/freezer, coffee machine and all the utensils you’ll need for 6 guests plus free basics like coffee, tea and sugar. Our tap water is fully drinkable.

Have breakfast, lunch and dinner inside, on the patio or in the garden with contemporary indoor and outdoor table and chair sets. If you feel like cooking outdoors there’s a 4-burner stainless steel BBQ for your use on the patio. There are also 6 sun-loungers for the garden.

We invite guests to pick their own lemons, limes, plums and mangoes from our garden (depending on the season).

Our villa is a year-round destination, perfect for an Easter get-away and even Christmas and New Year in the sun. We have recently installed a log burning fire in the lounge for cosy winter nights.

A wonderful stay in a beautiful home!

Have just enjoyed a very relaxing and tranquil holiday in Casa Batty. What a fabulous home from home. The house is beautiful, lovely decor, comfy beds, lovely bathrooms/wet room, all is fresh and new looking. It has absolutely everything you could need or want. The garden is a gorgeous place to chill and the heart trees are beautiful to look at when your lying on the comfy sun loungers, or sitting on the veranda. Also, great views of Cabopino from the garden & balcony. Swimming pool is very quiet, only one or two visitors while we were there, so again we were visitors who had the pool mostly to ourselves. This is the only house to have direct access to pool through a locked gate, which is great for families with small children. The hosts Phil & Karen were so welcoming and couldn’t do enough to ensure we enjoyed our stay. We joined them for drinks on their gorgeous boat docked in Cabopino Bay, which was a very enjoyable evening. Everything is within easy reach, the beach, restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies, you may be in the hills, but you’re not far from anything, though I would advise a car! A very enjoyable stay & will definitely be returning, have found a true gem!! Thanks Phil & Karen for your hospitality and hope to see you both again soon. Dee, Shane, Adam & Ríain, Dublin

Lovely family holiday Calahonda Mijas

Had the pleasure of staying in this lovely family villa. An amazing pool with lots of toys provided so great for families. The villa has all the essentials you need to make your stay home from home. It is a lot further from the beach and supermarket than we had realised and with small children it wasn’t walkable so hiring a car was a must have for us.

Wonderful! Home from home in the sun!

We stayed in the villa with our daughter and 2 grandchildren. It’s absolutely perfect for the little ones (and us!). A safe lawned garden with no steps and a secure gate to the swimming pool just yards away. All the time we were staying we were the sole users. Huge grassy area around the pool as well for them to run around and all immaculately kept. The villa itself is lovely. The upstairs bedroom is huge with a big balcony overlooking the sea and Cabopino marina. Lovely en-suite as well. All bedrooms have lots of wardrobe space and the rooms are spacious. The overriding sense of this villa is that is a home first and foremost. It has everything you need and doesn’t have that clinical feel a lot of rental places have. And this is all down to Phil and Angie, the owners. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They are always at the end of the phone if you need anything. Even when we panicked cos the supermarkets were shut! They knew where we could go to get supplies. Also, the villa is in a very quiet area away from roads which was brilliant. We even heard an owl one night! All in all this is a lovely place to stay, and we are sure we will go back one day soon.

A very relaxing week in a lovely home - highly recommended

We stayed at Phil and Angie’s Home for nine days and thoroughly enjoyed our time. Phil is an excellent Homeaway host - great communication, concerned and wanting to make sure we had the best time. House was clean and tidy, well equipped, pool warm and although shared was quiet - we usually had it to ourselves. Five minutes drive to the beach and supermarket. We all left very relaxed - we will be back!! Many thanks Phil for everything you did to smooth our holiday.

Just returned from a fabulous week at Casa Batty! We took our family there, with 2 grandchildren , high chair, cot all immaculate and included in the price!! The owners Phil and Angie have made their house into a home, with attention to detail. The furnishings and very comfortable decor made it a great home from home Great location, with lots to explore, easy access to the A7 to beaches and shops Phil was very helpful with supplying maps and good directions Definitely a house to revisit, without hesitation, so glad we found this little treasure!

A perfect luxury retreat

We had an amazing week at Casa Batty, the property is immaculate and the hosts were fantastic to deal with, really friendly and super helpful. We had our 3 year old with us and the house layout and huge enclosed garden was awesome for him, we were actually able to properly relax safe in the knowledge he couldn't access the pool directly. The location is very convenient to both Cabapino and La Cala, and I really enjoyed the tranquil setting, especially in the evenings where the garden gets the last of the light and the views out to the sea with Africa in the background are stunning. Can't recommend it highly enough, totally loved it!

Lovely house - great holiday!

My wife and I were very pleased with the property, which is just as it says on the website. With a two year old we were particularly delighted with the excellent swimming pool separated from the garden by the hedge and a secure gate - no worries about our daughter falling in if we didn't keep our eyes on her for every second. And though the pool is shared, we ever saw anyone else using it, and it is bigger than most villas' pools and in a very pleasant setting. We loved the views out to sea, and the whole area is very quiet and well kept with local shops a short drive away - you can walk, but it is a bit of a climb back up the hill! There are plenty of places to go and things to do, though just being there is almost enough... we especially liked nearby Capobino beach; the area of sand dunes makes it apparently the only stretch of beach on the Costa Del Sol that isn't "urbanised", and it is only a short drive away. The restaurants at the little port there are good, too. Our daughter is still talking about how she enjoyed the Biopark zoo in Fuengirola, and the Aquarium in Benaldamena, both small enough to be easily manageable with a two year old and good enough to impress her parents! We were there in late September and the weather was always dry and warm with occasional morning mist - mostly high 20s and very pleasant. The house has everything needed for a good stay, with good sized rooms, and is smart and well maintained. The beds were comfortable. We recommend it - our only regret is that we went for only a week - we'd have loved a few more days there and know there are several more things to see and do next time!

Excellent well-equipped villa with lovely garden and stunning views

Our party consisted of 2 grandparents, 2 parents and 2 children (4 and 1 years). This villa was perfect for us with plenty of room and facilities inside and a spacious well kept garden outside with plenty of shade from the lovely trees present if we wanted it. There are two bedrooms downstairs and one upstairs with the bedroom upstairs having lovely views to the sea and the marina from the large balcony. The large communal swimming pool with a children's section is through a locked gate at the bottom of the garden (for which you are provided with a key) which kept it safe from the children which suited us perfectly. In the 2 weeks we were there we practically had it to ourselves so it was like a private pool. The villa is in a quiet position and we rarely heard noise from any of the neighbours. There is a dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, oven and fridge/freezer plus cot and highchair if requested (which we did). Outside there is a mixture of rattan furniture (dining table, coffee table, associated chairs and sunbeds) plus fold up beach beds and umbrellas the latter of which was excellent for use when visiting the beach. Shops, beach and marina with numerous restaurants are about 5 to 10 minute drive away. The owners provided us with their mobile number so we could text any questions and the few questions we did have were answered very promptly. For our purposes this was a perfect place with everything we needed (and more) and would highly recommend it to anyone holidaying in the area!!

Relaxing holiday,and a great place to stay.

Casa Batty is a lovely villa where you can enjoy a very relaxing holiday. From the very start, Phil was so helpful and always contactable if we had any questions that needed answering. When we arrived at the villa we loved it straight away,as it was clean ,spacious and felt like a real home. There was everything that we needed and more,and we couldn't fault it.The upstairs bedroom has a balcony with fantastic views of the sea and Cabopino harbour,and it has its own very modern ensuite bathroom. Downstairs are two more bedrooms and bathrooms,a really nice kitchen,and a lounge where we'd relax at the end of the day. There's plenty of space outside and the garden is a great place to sunbathe as it's so peaceful,and nearby is the swimming pool which we had to ourselves most of the time. Most relaxing holiday ever

You will need a car as it is tucked away a bit. The villa is wonderful and we were made to feel that it was our home, so we had a lovely relaxing holiday. the pool which we more or less had to ourselves was great and we spent most of the day lounging on lilos in the pool. Being a higher elevation than the beach there was a constant gentle breeze which helped with the heat being in the 40's. This was the most relaxing holiday we have ever had and were quite sad to leave, but will look forward to going back again next year.

Summer family vacation

We had a lovely stay at Casa Batty. The villa is beautiful and has everything you need (home from home). Definitely need a car as up a hill. We found nice eating places in Calahonda, Puerto Cabino, Puerto Banus. Although the villa does not have its own pool it felt like it was our own pool as we were the only ones that used it and it was just through the gate at the bottom of the garden. Lovely to go back to the villa after being out all day sightseeing. Furnished to a high standard and very clean and welcoming when we arrived. Would definitely go back again and would recommend to a friend. Phil and Karen provided great customer service and very professional to deal with. Thank you.

Fantastic Villa set in beautiful gardens

We have stayed in a number of great properties properties in the Andalucia/ Costa del Sol region over the past 5 years and this is definitely the best. The villa has all the facilities you could want with spacious and well appointed rooms throughout. We had a group of 6 including 2 couples and 2 children (aged 18 and 11) and there was more than enough space for everyone. The balcony from the Master bedroom was really nice and had great views over the gardens and out to the sea. The villa was also clean and well managed with Phil keeping in touch with all the details that we needed throughout the booking process. Phil also kept in touch during our stay, making sure that everything was ok. The large gardens were beautiful and the access to the pool area was ideal. The pool area itself is lovely and clean and in the fortnight we stayed I can count on one hand the amount of times anybody else was using it, making it feel like a private pool for the most part of the holiday. The large outside terrace was a great relaxing area with lovely views down to the sea. It was ideal for breakfast, lunches, BBQ's and having a drink or two on a night! There was a large dining area inside the Villa but we never really used it as the outside area was so nice. The villa is set in quiet cul de sac type arrangement making it very private and relatively unoverlooked. It is approximately 5 mins drive from the beaches (Andys Beach was our favourite), however you can walk down to the lovely Cabopino port area in approximately 20 to 25 mins where there is a great selection of restaurants. There are a couple of small restaurants on the way (Cabo Pizza and Da Bruno) that you can have a drink in if you need a break on the way. The walk back is uphill so we sometimes took a taxi back for about 10 euros per car. Car hire is definitely recommended as there are many great restaurants and areas to visit if you have a car. Some of our favourites are Benahavis Village with it lovely streets and many great restauarants; Mijas with it's Bull Ring and great views over the costas; Ronda with a spectacular gorge and breathtaking drive; Guadalhorce/El Chorro the beautiful serene lakes with pedalo and boat hire. All in all I can't really recommend this Villa too much. All of our party agreed on how fantastic it was and how we ALL definitely want to come back again. We loved our stay at 'Casa Batty'. It was a true home from home which felt more like borrowing a holiday home from friends than a rental!. It was immaculately clean with helpful instruction notes and a welcome pack in the fridge .Bedrooms are large and airy and bathrooms a joy with plentiful hot water. The kitchen is well equipped and the large BBQ fed family and friends with ease. Linens and towels are of good quality and plentiful. The garden is very private and as with other reviews we had the 'communall' pool through the garden gate to ourselves! Despite it being late July the house and garden caught the breeze so we hardly needed to use the air con at night. The terrace off the master bedroom is a haven to watch the sun go down ( or escape teens!). The downstairs terrace is always shaded with generous furniture and plenty of space and seats to enjoy meals al fresco. You do need a car, but the beach and supermarkets etc are only a 7 min drive, its walkable in about 20 mins but there's a very steep hill on the way home!. Whilst we didn't need to contact Phil during our stay his ' check in ' texts were appreciated. We'll be back we hope! P.S. Beautiful villa in relaxing surroundings.

This Villa was a great get away from it all place , the views were beautiful , and the décor inside the villa was well chosen , it is definitely a well cared for home , with all the extra touches. The communal pool was virtually a private pool the whole holiday . When we needed any help from phil , he was always eager to help and if he couldn't he knew a man that could , this was excellent service , above and beyond other holidays we have been on . The location is such that you do need a car , but the supermarket, beach and marina is very close by . The property was spotless , and when we arrived there were already goodies in our fridge ! Lovely villa in quiet location

Really enjoyed our stay at Casa Batty. Villa is spacious and well equipped with great views from the balcony (perfect for relaxing in a evening with a glass of wine). The shared pool is literally at the bottom of the garden and the whole area is clean and well maintained. Casa Batty is in a quiet area and away from it all however the beach and bars are just a few minutes drive away. Similarly, there are many good quality restaurants within a few minutes drive and we sampled many of them with Hermosa at Puerto Capobino, Da Bruno (great steaks) and Da Vinci's (good pizza and pasta) being of our favourites. We visited Mijas, Malaga and Nerja during our stay, all of which we can recommend for very different reasons. The owners were very helpful and provided lots of information prior to our holiday. Would recommend and return and the only thing missing for us was a trip on the Seas with Captain4Play. Next time maybe!

Perfect family hideaway

I stayed in this beautiful villa with my family for a weeks holiday over the Easter holidays. It was clean, very well maintained and had everything you could possibly want or need. A real home from home but with the bonus of a fantastic pool and stunning views. My three children loved the freedom of being able to play in the secure, safe garden. We could relax and with the pool just through the gate at the end of the garden, we could all go for a splash whenever we felt like it. I would recommend this villa to anyone wanting a relaxing break in a quiet area but with the bonus of having all the exciting attractions of Marbella and surrounding resorts just a short drive away.

Fabulous villa with pool

What a fab holiday. Our two children had so much fun in the pool - we were concerned that the villa didn't have it's own pool but the beautiful pool is so private, child friendly and just through the garden gate. The house is contemporary, very clean with lovely fixtures and fittings. It was very peaceful with stunning sea views but only 5 mins away from the local shops, beach and restaurants. The children in particular enjoyed going to the local marina of Cabapino - we enjoyed Alberts restaurant too! We also enjoyed visiting the old town of Mijas which was just 20 mins away. What a fabulous villa!

We have been holidaying in the area for the past 15 years and we were very lucky 3 years ago to have found Casa Batty. This villa is by far the best that we have stayed in, it is very modern and tastefully furnished to by far the best standard that we have seen. It is a real home from home and we wanted for nothing. The views over Cabopino were fabulous and we could even see Gibraltar and the Atlas Mountains whilst we were sat on the upper terrace enjoying our G&Ts! Whilst we were there, we chartered the owner's beautiful boat and whilst en route to Peurto Banus for lunch, 2 pods of Dolphins swam beside us. The area has many wonderful restaurants and the beach at Cabopino is lovely - a fabulous holiday was had by all. We will definitely be back.

Gepflegtes Anwesen mit Meerblick

Schöne Zeit in einem perfekt ausgestatteten Anwesen am Berg mit schönem Garten und weitem Meerblick. An- und Abreise unkompliziert und alles gut organisiert. Zuvorkommender Gastgeber, stets ansprechbar und sehr bemüht darum, dass sich der Gast wohl fühlt.

Wonderful quiet villa

The villa is beautiful with great views and very quiet. The owner, Phil, is lovely and extremely helpful, he really went out of his way for us. Can heartily recommend.

The perfect home away

Casa Batty is the perfect home away. Everything is just as described or even better. Phillip is the perfect host, who will do whatever it takes to make your stay here unforgettable. The location is excellent, in a quiet part of Calahonda, overlooking the very nice Cabopino Golf course. We will definitely be returning to this beautiful home!

Why they chose this property

Hidden away in a very quiet up market area of Calahonda, our house with pool access is surrounded by fruit trees, sunshine and professional, respectful neighbours. It's a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive down to the picturesque Cabopino Marina where you can find family run restaurants and bars including the infamous Albert's restaurant. Great for breakfast, lunch or sunset dinners!

The villa is just off Ave De Espana which runs from both Calahonda junctions off the A7. Shops and restaurants are nearby.

A short walk away is Cabopino Golf Club which has a club house offering food, drink and great views over the fairways and the Mediterranean

What makes this property unique

Casa Batty is close to all facilities and in a fabulous location. It has a private South facing garden, enjoying sun all day long until the sun sets on the horizon over the Mediterranean.
Parasols and shade from leafy trees provide a welcome relief from the midday sun. Along with a lovely breeze and a fabulous pool. At the bottom of the garden there is a lockable gate to the pool, which means young children can play safely in our beautiful garden unsupervised. There is a rope swing attached to the Spanish Oak tree . We also have many pool toys that children may like to use.
A newly built Boardwalk has just been constructed enabling you to walk along the sea front all the way from Cabopino to La Cala and in the coming years it will continue in the other direction towards Marbella. A very pleasant and easy walk with bars and restaurants along the way.
