Lovely little Cottage in idilic spot near the Harbour in which we have stayed before, a couple of little niggles still broken tiles on the bathroom floor, allocated parking now further away around 20 mins walk.
We loved Morley Cottage, the location is amazing you can see the harbour & Mrs Tishell’s Pharmacy from the lounge & bedroom window. Fab decor & lovely linen / towels / white robe. Lovely that it is also dog friendly. Communication with Shirley the host was great. Cottage is well equipped.
Nice cottage but small and overpriced.cottage looking tired.bathroom tiles cracked and shower didn't drain.cottage clean.what put my wife and I off we were asked to allow a plumber access to fix broken washing machine. The owner then asked if she could let estate agent in with a prospective buyer whilst we were on holiday! Not a good look!

Great location but designated parking miles away
The cottage is in great location but it does need an update. For the price paid I would expect everything in working order, but unfortunately it wasn't. The tap was dripping, broken tiles in the bathroom covered just with the towel, downstairs floor and the rug could do with an update, stains on the sofa . Big disappointment was finding out the “designated parking “ is outside the village - 20 mins walk uphill to get the car every time we wanted to use it, and god forbid you forget something in the car - it does get tiring, especially when not everyone in the party is able to make this walk every time. This should have been “mentioned “ in the main description so people can make informed decision before they book. And not as property manager suggested to ask about prior making the booking.
The location is perfect for travelers looking to stay in “downtown Doc Martin” as my son put it. Another review suggested that the place could be cleaner and I have to agree; the property owner needs to come for a few days and do a serious cleaning beyond what normal cleaners do, but aside from the cobwebs it was decent. We loved being so close to the harbor, but it's a little noisy if you're trying to sleep late. All that being said, we loved it and would stay there again.
The cottage needs a refresh… there is a rank smell downstairs. The doctor a bit tired.cracked floor tiles in the bathroom. The upholstery in the sitting room a bit dirty and it needed a better clean. Overall a good base for a couple though the master bedroom mattress was hard and the bed a bit short if you are tall….
Great spot. Cottage could do with a bit of an update but a pleasant stay nonetheless. It is a bit of an ordeal to drop off but the benefit is a traffic free village. Sadly the promised car park space at the top of the village was not available which was disappointing given this was one reason for booking. Comfy bed and well equipped (lacking cork screw and wine glasses). Great place though with pet allowed too which was a bonus!

Great but……
The location is good as it’s right next to the sea and perfect to walk from.
The only issues we had were being woken at 06:45 each morning by smashing bottles from the recycling from the local bar.
I’m 6’2” and the bed is too short and mattress rock hard, but on the whole it was nice to get away.
Cosy cottage right in the heart of the village with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. To have a view of the bay and fall asleep to the sound of the waves was really special, as is Port Isaac. We would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.
Experience a stay in a traditional fisherman’s cottage
Lovely cosy cottage in the heart of Port Issac. Fully fitted with everything for an enjoyable break. Close to the working harbour & the South West Coast Path.
The perfect base to explore the area, but also a beautiful place to stay. Very busy with visitors in the day, but becomes a quiet retreat in the evening with a good choice of places to eat and drink .
The cottage is in a very popular place so I assume it is well used, but it shows. Firstly, I would like to say we had a lovely stay and most of what I mention did not spoil our stay but the suggestions may enhance other people's stays. The property needs some tlc. There were cracked tiles at the end of the shower in the bathroom so the bath mat was over them to make them safe, knobs were missing from drawers and the bunk beds had been patched up with random pieces of wood. The work surface in the kitchen is coming away from the tiles quite considerably and a slug kept getting in from somewhere. More crockery would have helped in the kitchen as there is a dishwasher. Six dinner plates and four glasses is not enough if you are planning to eat all of your meals there - you would have to keep washing up to reuse. We ate out most of the time so it wasn't a problem for us. We were left a bottle of wine when we arrived which was lovely but there weren't any wine glasses - just four small tumblers! The towels that were left were only bath towels which was okay for the children but adults could do with bath sheets especially well built men over 6ft tall! As the main bedroom is on the front of the property, we were woken every morning between 5 and 6:30am by the sound of rubbish trucks beeping as they reversed and then four bins of glass bottles being emptied into the truck from 'The Slipway' guest house and restaurant opposite. Also, we could clearly hear everyone's conversations on the Platt at that time in the morning as they arrived for work, slammed their car doors and were shouting at eachother. I realise it is a grade II listed building and we were staying in a working harbour but perhaps some secondary glazing inside may provide some useful sound proofing. We quickly started going to bed earlier as we knew we would be woken early. This was okay but not necessarily what you want to do on holiday. An allocated parking space was very helpful (a new post is needed) but it needs making clear on the cottage advertisement that it is roughly a ten minute walk from the cottage to the parking space up a very steep hill. Not everyone will be familiar with Port Isaac and realise this. Unloading/loading the car is difficult as you have to drive through the very narrow streets of Port Isaac, block the road, quickly throw your belongings out and then drive back up to park the car. This ten minute walk to/from the car is daily if you want to use your car.
Fantastic communication with the owner / host which made a huge difference. Parking in Port Issac is scarce so having parking included with the Morley’s cottage worked very well. The parking is located slightly away from the cottage but is secure. The cottage was clean and provided all necessities for our family. Great base and location for local beaches, local area and Port Issac .
