Great base for West Cumbria holiday

Old cottage with some modern touches, ideal for a holiday in West Cumbria. Comfortable for 4 with a dog. Some furnishings seemed a little tired, but beds were comfy and for the price, it couldn't have been a better stay.

Lovely old cottage surrounded by sheep and near the coast.

Lovely old cottage surrounded by sheep and near the coast. Views of Scotland, Lake District and — from the beach — the Isle of Man. Well equipped. Warm. Comfortable. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Lovely clean and warm property let down by lack of attention to detail.

Lovely clean and warm property let down by lack of attention to detail. Kitchen needs improvement, saucepans and frying pans have been damaged by previous guests and not replaced. No scissors or small knife for vegetable preparation. Torch did not work. We were asked to put rubbish out on the Thursday but then no rubbish bag to replace the one we had put out. Lawns were mowed mid week but grass was not collected - grass everywhere, on the lawn, in the drive, it walked into the house - good job we had a vacuum cleaner. With a large car we were unable to close the front gate and hence unable to contain our dog. These are all small points which could easily be sorted.
