Hidden gem

The property was a little obscure to find but the owners called and told us exactly how to find it. At the end of the hidden driveway, very dark and mysterious was a glorious cottage, with grounds waiting to be explored. Spectacular view from the bedroom window and from the veranda with ample seating and tables, looking down into the garden where a large pond lies teeming with fish, benches all around the pond, some slightly hidden in the bushes, so many places to perch in the sunlight and have a read or a cup of tea. Not looking brand spanking new, just a little worn but so homely, a real dream landscape. The cottage has everything you need, for us it was a place to lay our heads down, waking up to sunlight through the window, a quick breakfast then off to explore the coast line. The local pub, excellent for food, drink and entertainment. The only downside was that the log burner was out of action 😢

This is the second time that we have rented Tulip Lodge.

This is the second time that we have rented Tulip Lodge. We love this cottage for it's out of the way location, enjoying the peace and quiet it affords. The owners are lovely people and very welcoming. Whilst there are no amenities right on the doorstep they can be accessed by a short drive. We would definitely recommend this property
