We enjoyed a few July days in Langres on our way to Switzerland. The house is up-side down with first floor reception rooms enjoying far-reaching views, with bedrooms on the cooler ground floor.
Langres is a charming old citadel town and this period house overlooks the eastern ramparts. It's clean and comfortable with period features... plus wifi, all the kitchen gadgets you'll need and a quiet garden.
Thank you Pascal for your warm welcome. We hope we can come again.
We were 2 families with young children. The house was perfect, very spacious and well furnished. The 2 bathrooms were very practical.
Just in case you want to prepare some meals at the house, be prepared to bring basics like salt, dish washing liquid, oil etc
The owner is very easy and responsive in terms of communication and very helpful giving tips and hints on what to do.
Langres and the surrounding is wonderful with lots of things to see and do.

location and standard of the property was excellent
Three adults stayed at the premises and had a good week in Langres ,although the weather was rather mixed. The facilities in the property were fine although we missed some comfortable chairs in which to relax. Langres is an interesting town which has a long history and has been the centre of commerce in the region. Visits to Charles De Gaulle museum at Colombey lex Deux egilises , the museum of cutlery at Nogent, and the Abbey at Fontenay were well worthwhile.
There are a number of good restaurants in the town with excellent food at Cheval le Blanc even if a little expensive!

Wonderful house -great choice for family vacation!
We were two families (4 adults and 2 teens) just spending a week winter vacation in the wonderful house of Pascal & Martine. We had a quality time and enjoyed every moment of it.
Winter renting for us was nice because the weather was dry and we had no rain, allowing us lots of outing during the day light. However, we only assume that summer, spring and autumn can be even better due to the retreats you can have in the surrounding nature.
The house is large, fully equipped, cosy and warm. It gave us the feeling of "home away from home", which made us all feeling very comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped and the views from the upper floor are stunning!
The surroundings of the little town Langres are beautiful, which made us hike around almost every day of our stay. The beautiful city of Dijon is less than an hour drive from the property and we enjoyed one day there too.
The owners of the property are very kind, prompt and supporting, whilst not disturbing us at all during the stay.
This was definitely one of the best family vacations we have had and we warmly recommend this house to anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful vacation.
Happy New Year!
and Thank you once again Pascal & Martine!

Our second visit!
Once again we had a great holiday in Langres staying in this lovely house. We love this spacious house. It's well equipped and in a very quiet location. You can sit in the diningroom with the balcony doors open and look at the wonderful views. It was so nice to meet you again Martine and Pascal and we hope to be back.

lovely house!!!
We have stayed at the house twice and loved it each time. It's well equipped, large dining room where you can sit with the balcony doors open drinking your coffee while watching people walk around the ramparts. Very quiet location at the back of the cathedral. The views from the dining room & living room are amazing. We would spend our days at the nearby lake which has a man-made beach, kids love it!! We will be back...:) Nina Budek

Wonderful house! Superb owners!
This is a very spacious period house with elegant, comfortable rooms, well furnished in an older style and very pleasant to live in. The owners have left many small decorative items around the place that go to make for the feeling of a home rather than a rental. Bedrooms are large with good beds + lots of hanging and storage space, while the bathrooms (1 ensuite, 1 new main) are good, and the overall sense of the house is excellent. The only less positive aspect of anything is the kitchen, which is rather small because of large furniture items but it is well equipped and overlooks the attractive town garden. The location is terrific too, but best of all are the delightful owners, who are charming and extremely helpful but wholly unintrusive. It was a real pleasure to meet them and to have the chance to enjoy their old family home.
Langres itself is an interesting and attractive town, but we found it difficult to come up with good places for dinner in the evening. Beware of the Hotel de l'Europe, which has high prices, the atmosphere of a down-market cafe, mediocre food and poor service! Breakfast at the Brasserie in the Place Diderot was fabulous -- no croissants but the best tartines in the world! We'd like to go back to this house and this place, which is surely the very best recommendation of all!

Stunning house and views
We had a great holiday in Langres staying in this lovely house. It was beautifully furnished, immaculately clean, well equiped and had a nice garden and wonderful views. The owners were very kind and only a phone call away if any help or advice was needed. Langres is a lovely old town with shops and restaurants and we really liked our walks on the ramparts. Its also a perfect base to explore the area .
The beautiful house is perfectly located near the ramparts in a quiet area of Langres. Great view on the surroundings. Very well equiped house to spend a long weekend. Very friendly owners. Definetely a place to go back.
Spent a week in this lovely house, which was well equipped and clean. Easy parking outside (free).
Lovely views overlooking the ramparts, fields & lakes.
The city was full of history, from their famous Langres cheese, Diderot & history of cutlery manufacture.
The owner Pascal & his wife were extremely friendly and a pleasure to deal with.
Thank you both for your hospitality.

This is a house with a character, a history, and a great view. The city is remarkable, the surrounding areas in the valley (the lake, the Marne, the canal) are worth a bike trip. The host is very friendly and helpful. The house is large and located in a quiet spot of the city, while close to everything you would like to see.
