What a beautiful area. It’s like a dream with the view, fire pit, pool and huge kitchen!Perfect for large families or friends. As the Terminator said it…..I’ll be back!
Location was outstanding and property was great for a large group. Host is very accommodative and prompt communications. While property was great, the outdoor could be kept lot more cleaner and well setup for the next group.
Great property for larger groups.
We really enjoyed the open space inside and outside the house.
The host was very quick to reply to our questions, with excellent service.
We will stay again.
The house was so well suited to our group of friends and family, room to spread out. Wood fire kept us very warm and gave us a relaxed stay. The host supplied breakfast and much more. Close to Bathurst for a days excursion.
we had a great time.

Amazing well stocked property with great communication from the owner. Would highly recommend this place if you're looking for a nice weekend away whatever the weather.
This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this property. It was excellent and everything we wanted. The addition of the Hanes room was a huge hit. We will stay again.
This was an ideal property for multiple families getting together. The Oconnell area is quite picturesque and this house has panoramic views toward Bathurst. It is also ideally situated close to a very nice friendly cafe and the Oconnell Pub. We used all the facilities offered, the fire pits, the tennis court, the games room, the indoor fire and the heated pool which was a real bonus on the cooler days. We had visits from cows and kangaroos and the chooks were really friendly. We had the best lamb cutlets ever at The Royal Hotel in Oberon. Unfortunately Mayfield Gardens had been severely damaged by the cold snap just before our trip. The only negative was the wifi which did not work for a large group of users. This house was not in pristine condition however we saw that as a positive which allowed us to relax and enjoy our stay.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Listing accuracy
3 day family break
Location, beds / linen, pool, games room, seating, house size all very good.
What spoilt the stay was the poor condition of building. Door entry step, tiles and slate, dishwasher racks, taps, lounges, some chairs, towel racks, various inclusions broken or missing. Supplied toys dirty or broken. No instructions at all about garbage, dishwasher use. 9am check-out is very unfair - having them waiting outside at 9am very unprofessional.
Overall, it was disappointing for the amount charged - overpriced.
We had a great stay at this property and we would highly recommend staying here the property was great but the only downfall was the CLEANLINESS of the house! The whole house needs a good deep clean inside!
Communication and all with the owner was great. Plenty of space in the house for everyone.
Absolutely beautiful retreat for large or small groups very spacious living areas beautiful kitchen area and bedrooms all great size. We enjoyed all on offer except the pool....bit cool in July. The games room tennis court fire pit. The chickens sheep and cows were all very friendly and we all enjoyed their company. Melanie was a great host answering all my silly questions very promptly. We would highly recommend this lovely farm for a relaxing getaway anytime. Already organising a return trip with our families we loved it
There are many bedroom with lots of combinations. There is a pool that you can even use in winter. Cows, chickens and sheep keep kids away from screens. The house is nice and warm, with deep lounge chairs for wstvhing tv and reading. Mel, our hostess, made us very comfortable and left plenty of supplies and backup support. Lots of activitirs to do around us.
Our group generally enjoyed our 4 nights at this property. Clearly the house and amenities have been thoroughly enjoyed over the years by families, family groups and many children. Its not new and a bit of wear and tear was apparent. But we thought it was excellent value for money. As our group was age 60 plus we were also able to enjoy the expansive house, the outdoor eating area and BBQ, the air-conditioned comfort, the pool and the proximity to Mayfield Gardens, Abercrombie House, the O'Connell Hotel and nearby Bathurst City and Oberon. Bedrooms were ample; linen, blankets and towels all clean and fresh. Kitchen size and amenities were impressive and we encountered the most well stocked pantry ever before witnessed. All this was topped off with a welcome pack from host Mel: a giant bowl of fruit, chocolates, multiple choices of breakfast cereals, bread, milk, tea and coffee for all of the 4 mornings and more should we have stayed longer. And lastly the hens averaged 2 eggs a day - a treat for us city dwellers.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this wonderful property! Everything was easy with checking in and the place was even better than we expected. Beds were comfy and the rooms were all clean and welcoming. The heated pool was great for the weather and all the activities on site were so much fun. The highlight is of course the cows! Highly recommend booking a stay here!
The house was fantastic! There were plenty of great features and it was a very beautiful location. Mel was wonderful! Very accomodating and made sure our stay was great. Would definitely love to visit again
We had a great time. Loved the tennis court although too cool for the pool. House worked well for our group of friends. Lovely village and sadly the pub closed for renovation. Thanks Melanie for all the goodies left for our use, we didn’t expect it and it was a lovely gesture.
My family of three generations all had a wonderful three days . The host left plenty of supplies in bathrooms and kitchen area . All ages were catered for in accommodation.
The outside areas had plenty of chairs / tables and the wood pile was amazing . We had both indoor and outdoor fires all three nights and did not run out .
We will certainly recommend the farm to others .?
We had a 5 generation family get together of 19 people, age 11 weeks through to adult. We utilised every room, enjoyed the animals, tennis court, even 2 boys in the pool in July 😱. We did day trips and explored Bathurst, Oberon & Orange. Great location. Would be very happy to return. Host Melanie was awesome and responsive to a few things we needed during the week. No hesitation to recommend
What a great host Mel is. Everything about this was families are welcome. We were a family of 8 adults and 8 children but we never felt we were on top of one another. The tennis court was given a great workout and the kids tried the pool. Little extras were everywhere from the milk and bread to the chocolates in the foyer. Thankyou Mel I would highly recommend this host and property
