Gully Cottage - Pet Friendly



* Please note - for the Easter long weekend 2025 - we will not be accepting single night stay reservations due to the nature of the holiday. Gully Cottage is a well appointed one bedroom cottage suitable for a couple or small family. Built from locally made rammed earth, with stunning ocean views. The cottage has reverse cycle air conditioning, so no matter what the season, you will be comfortable day and night. The lounge in the sitting room can easily be converted into a second bed if required. There are basic cooking facilities in the kitchen and all crockery/cutlery is provided.
There is plenty of parking space and loads of room for a boat or trailer.
No matter if you stay for a day or a week - you'll love the warm country charm of Gully Cottage.
Gully Cottage is ideally located as a base to explore the Central West region during the spectacular wildflower season from August to October.

Please note, we do allow single night stays, however for busy and popular times (such as long weekends, Easter and Christmas), we will reserve the right to accept bookings or 2 or more nights as a minimum.

We allow you to bring your dog with you and to stay inside the cottage. We supply a blanket for your dog, a dog bowl and a 3m leash if you need to secure your dog outside. We do require a pet surcharge to be paid at the time of your stay - $20.

Locality

Rudds Gully is conveniently located between historic Greenough and the City of Geraldton. The property is located just off the Brand Highway near Cape Burney and the Greenough River Mouth. Great fishing, walk trails, windsurfing and the beach are all close by.

First time stay

I had medical appointments in Geraldton, as I had to stay in Geraldton for 3 days we made the decision to take our puppies with us.We had access to the land and were able to take our dogs for a walk anytime of day.The cottage was beautiful and so clean, w didn’t get to meet the host as she was ill at the time of our stayI would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone with or without pets.I would stay here again for sure Beautiful sunsets too

Lovely cottage with everything you need. Beautiful countryside views and accommodating hosts. Our kids loved feeding the pet kangaroo too! Highly recommend.

Beautiful stay with my family

This rural location is calm, beautiful, clean and full of all the necessary amenities for a getaway. Our stay includes myself, husband, 2 kids (1 and 2 years of age) and two large dogs. If travelling with littles it is necessary to bring your own cot. Hosts were super lovely! And

A perfect stay

The Gully Cottage was perfect after a long drive. Could have easily stayed longer than just overnight. Perfect for our little dog too. Beautiful views of farmland. Will visit again.

Lovely Rest Stop

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was clean and well presented, and the owners were friendly and chatted when we saw them, and left us to ourselves to enjoy our stay. It would have been nice to have some welcome guide or something there that I have had at other places with simple things like 'how to operate the TV' and local walks or best coffee spots or something like that, but other than that, a top rate spot. We would definitely stay again!

Fantasist stay yet again

Blissful Bush Retreat with Pup

This was the perfect place to get away, relax and spend quality time with family and the pup. The beds were super comfy. I loved all the natural light through the big windows. The kitchen and bathroom well kept and spacious. Nothing beats rammed earth. Puppy loved going for walks around the bush and following the bush turkeys. Would stay here again. Love staying out in nature. Also, nothing beats rammed earth. Not too far from town centre as well.

Gully Cottage stay

The property was well equipped and located in a quiet and relaxing spot. Good location for exploring Greenough and surrounds. We spent just 2 nights on our way from Perth to Kalbarri and it was a lovely way to start our mini break. It was great to be able to have our little dog with us and she enjoyed exploring new areas

Our stay in Rudds Gully

We enjoyed our four nights at Gully Cottage although the weather was not too kind to us. The cottage was in a very tranquil location and it was only a short drive to Geraldton. We were very happy with the standard of the cottage. We tried to say goodbye to our hostess but could not find her before it was time to leave. Thank you for a very pleasant stay.

Short stop over for work

It was a lovely rural setting exactly as described. On arrival i was greeted by the host and her lovely "guard" dogs. The cottage was perfectly clean and everything you could want was there. Close to town, 11kms or so, but far enough away that its quiet and easy living. Thank you very much....as someone famous once said, I'll be Back
