Sunset Cottage is situated on an elevated site overlooking the main Ring of Kerry road on the wild Atlantic way.
The cottage is tastefully decorated, located in a peaceful and tranquil setting boasting stunning views of the surrounding mountains to the front and rear.

It is a perfect base to tour the Ring of Kerry ,Dingle Pennisula,visit Skelig Island,Killarney National Park,Gap of Dunloe or many of the multitudes of sights in south west Ireland.

Alternatively, you may like to spend the day relaxing.
Sunset has 3 bedrooms, 1master bedroom ensuite ,1 double ,1twin ensuite.There is a separate bathroom, kitchen /dining area ,utility room and living room plasma tv with cable and dvd player.There is wifi available throughout the house.

Nearest beaches: 2 kilometres from Dooks and 5 kilometres from Rossbeigh.

Fishing: Caragh Lake and Caragh River are renowned for salmon and trout fishing, boat rental is also available on the lake.

Stunning location!

We had a great stay from start to finish. Ideal base to explore the area. Very helpful and friendly owners and the house was spacious and exceptionally clean with mountain views all around. So it was perfect for us!

Fabulous house in a stunning location

Immaculate, perfect base

Marcella (host) was prompt, helpful and welcoming; the bungalow was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and well-appointed; convenient for Killarney and many other places; photos don't do it justice. Stunning views and very quiet location. Just two of us, but sleeps six easily. Very reasonably priced for its size. Highly recommended.

Lovely Cottage in a perfect location

This was our second stay in one of these lovely cottages . The cottage is a real home away from home with everything you need including lovely linens, beautiful bedrooms, gorgeous views and peaceful gardens for a relaxing stay. The location is perfect for drives around the Ring of Kerry, Valentia Island and the Dingle Peninsular. Rossbeigh Beach is not to be missed. Bridget gave us a great welcome, making us feel right at home and we hope to return again some day . Thank you for letting us stay.

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay in this perfectly located, well appointed cottage. The cottage was very comfortable and had everything you would need. Marcella met us on arrival, and departure, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. A perfect stay!!

Ideal house for families

The location is fantastic with great views. The house was very spacious and had everything we needed to make our stay very comfortable. The surrounding area has many restaurants and beaches to explore . Would highly recommend.

Wonderful!

The bungalow was excellent, spotlessly clean, and everything we needed was in there. Marcella met us on arrival and explained things to us, and contacted us during our stay to see if everything was ok. The bungalow was in a very quiet road, very scenic, but only about ten minutes from Killorglin where you can get good food, and 30 mins from Killarney . We would definitely stay there again, and hope to do so. High recommended.

Fantastic - Book now.

Spectacular quality house with everything you could possibly need. Large, clean, well equipped, brilliant location, friendly and helpful hosts and ideal for a great holiday exploring the Ring of Kerry. The internet was fast and the satellite TV was a great bonus too. We enjoy walking and there was no shortage of good walks in the area. The beaches were good too. We drove round the Ring of Kerry and also round the Dingle which is not far away. We liked Killarney National Park and the Gap of Dunloe which are short drives away. This is a good one. Book it now before somebody else does.

First class!

We had a lovely week at Sunset Cottage. Marcella was very friendly, helpful and made us feel very welcome. The cottage was a real home from home. It was a great location for exploring the Dingle Peninsula, the Ring of Kerry and close to lovely beaches. The property was immaculate and had everything that you needed. Facilities were excellent.

Beautiful views & lovely cottage

The cottage was beautifully situated between the mountains & the views from it were amazing- rainbows every day. ideal for touring the ring if Kerry, dingle peninsula, Valentia island & beyond . It's equipped to a very high spec, and the beds are very comfortable - the best sleep had in a long time . Disabled access is excellent & the large garden is great for kids. Marcella was very kind and nothing was too much trouble. We had a lovely holiday

Absolut empfehlenswert! Absolutely recommendable!

We spent a wonderful week at this beautiful cottage! Everything was exactly how it was described, very clean and nicely furnished. In the kitchen we found everything we needed and with a little help from Marcella, who was very helpful and gave us lots of information about places to visit and everything, we got used to the oven quickly ;-) We were absolutely lucky with the weather so we could drive along the ring of kerry and the Dingle Peninsula and get a fantastic view of the cost and the ocean. What we enjoyed most were the Gap of Dunloe and the Killarney National Parc. We went hiking there a lot. Killarney is a beautiful town. With Aldi in Killorglin and Tesco in Killarney you can do all the grocery shopping. We would have loved to stay longer to discover this rich landscape and in the evening sit together in this cosy home. We highly recommend this cottage and are looking forward to spending another holiday there.

Fantastic Cottage

My husband and I have recently spent a fabulous weeks holiday in Sunset Cottage in Kerry. Firstly, the owner Marcella, was extremely friendly and helpful, making us feel very at home. We had seen the accommodation on the website, but in reality, it was even better than we could have hoped for. The owner has put thought into every need of the traveller and the whole interior decoration was superb. It was truely first class, emaculately clean and beautifully designed. The views both back and front are stunning and the cottage is in a fantastic location. From here we could tour both the Iveragh Peninsula with it's "Ring of Kerry" and Killarney National Park and the stunning Dingle Peninsula. We love both walking and cycling and could do plenty of both from this location.This included hiking up the 2 highest mountains in Ireland ( Carrauntoohil and Mount Brandon). We also cycled part of the Ring of Kerry which is right outside the front door! There are plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby or shops for self catering. We would thoroughly recommend Sunset Cottage to anyone wishing to visit the area of Kerry.

Sunset Cottage

We returned yesterday from a week in Kerry and had a fantastic time. Sunset Cottage is fantastic, Marcella (the owner) is very welcoming and friendly. The views of the mountains from the front and back of the house are beautiful, the cottage is extremely comfortable, roomy and very well equipped. It's location is great, with Rossbeigh beach just a short drive away. We visited Killarney and rode on the jaunting cars, went to Dingle and saw the infamous Fungie the dolphin and spent a lot of time on Inch Beach, Torc waterfall is beautiful and well worth a visit, all of which we would highly recommend to fellow travellers. The towns of Glenbeigh and Killorglin are about 5-10 minutes drive from the cottage, where there are a few supermarkets and pubs/restaurants etc. Killorglin has a couple of take away restaurants too. A beautiful area, well worth a visit!

Breathtaking Views

I came for one week to Ireland and stayed in this holiday home which had the most breathtaking views of the highest mountain in Ireland. It is very well situated on the Ring Of Kerry with lots to do for the kids or if you just want to relax. Their is a nice local pub which is walking distance away which had Irish music at the weekend, that really added to the experience. The local town of Killorglin has some great seafood and steak restaurants and something for every price range. We didn't out that much as the kitchen in the house was so nice and a pleasure to cook in. Their is also an area to eat outside which is very nice, you can take all the views around you. The landlady was very helpful and dealing with her was a pleasure. She knows all the best things to do in the area and just all round nice. Great location for hiking, fishing, cycling, horse riding, sightseeing and just a great place to kick back and read a book. We went on a great trip to see the Skellig with a boat company from Portmagee, Skellig Ocean Adventures well worth a look. The house itself is extremely clean and home like. So bright and so new. It has every mod-com you could want. I couldnt even begin to express how happy my group was with this property and this area. The house sites in its own land and has a huge back and front garden. I have recommended this property to friends and they are staying here this summer. I am only sorry I can't make it back this year myself.

A Gem on the East Coast

We really enjoy our stay here, Marcella and Declan both were very hospitable and accommodating. The home met our standard of cleanliness and was comfortable. Well stocked with needed kitchen supplies. Beautiful views what a gem to find in the area we so love. We plan to return! Gratious Hosts!

Perfect stay

Marcella was the perfect host and provided us with valuable tips for our excursions. The house was beautifully furnished and had everything we needed. Simply amazing!

Our stay at the cottage was really amazing! We were welcomed very warmly and there was even a little snack inside the fridge for our first teatime! The rooms are comfortable, bright and well-equipped. Especially the living-room is perfect for rainy afternoons with a good book and an amazing view. Watching the cows through the kitchen-window was an additional happy-moment for us. Moreover, the hosts had some really good tips regarding possible trips for us - in sum we really enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back in the future!
