Osprey Lake is a serene area located halfway between Princeton, BC and Summerland, BC on the Princeton Summerland Highway. This lake offers many things to do, no matter the season! From lake fishing in spring, summer and fall to ice fishing in the winter, swimming in the summer to wildlife viewing year round, everyone has a good time on or around this Thompson-Okanagan lake! This lake houses some beautiful rainbow trout that take anything from a worm to a chronomid fly.
The Kettle Valley Railway is a historic railway system that stretched over 500 kilometers from Hope to Midway, BC. The railway was constructed between 1911 and 1915 and the last train rode the tracks in 1989. This railway is now a gravel multi-use trail utilized by ATVs, dirt bikes, bicyclists, hikers, snowmobiles, snowshoers, equestrians and everyone in between.
This area boasts some of the most beautiful terrain with colourful wildflowers blooming around every corner in the summer and fantastic snowy scenes during our winters. Fall comes with crisp mornings and beautiful fall leaf colours while spring comes with songbirds singing in the fresh mornings, amazing spring lake fishing and the deer returning!
The Osprey Lake area houses some incredible wildlife that you can see as soon as you step out the door. The variation of wildlife goes from song birds to snowshoe hares to mule deer to moose and everything in between! Whether you are a bird watcher, a fishermen, a hunter or just someone excited to see some wildlife you wouldn’t see in the city, this area is for everyone!
