About this property

Homefield Cottage Halls Gap - Grampians NP Frontage

Welcome to Homefield Cottage. Nestled in a quiet street in Halls Gap, the property is situated right next to the Grampians National Park. Centrally located, the house is also a short 10 minute walk to the Halls Gap shopping precinct. A perfect hideaway for couples to experience all that Halls Gap and surrounds has to offer. Take a morning walk from the back gate to pick up the trail to Chataqua Peak and Clematis Falls. In the evening, stroll into town and enjoy one of the many restaurants.
Homefield Cottage is a small detached dwelling on a large private block with the main house adjacent. Expansive gardens surround the property. The cottage contains a separate bedroom with ensuite and a generous living area and kitchen. The woodfire heats the space nicely with wood supplied from the shed viewable from the back door. Instructions on how to use the woodfire are provided. Wall mounted air-conditioners are in the living area and bedroom to cool in the summer months.
The main house is largely unoccupied but the property owners may be in residence occasionally. Guests are welcome to use the outdoor undercover area even if the owners are on site.

A quiet place with large garden, but only a short stroll to the hustle & bustle of the township.

During the Easter Holidays my partner and I stayed in this cottage accommodation, located beside a larger house, for 5 nights. Being Easter, the town was extremely busy, however, we were not affected by it, as the property had a sprawling, established garden with direct rear access to walking tracks that led to a waterfall and beautiful lookouts. Birds, kangaroos, deer and other wildlife kept us entertained on the property itself. The nights in the accommodation were nice and peaceful, providing all necessary facilities. We are contemplating another stay in the future and would recommend this accommodation to anybody with a desire for a peaceful place in nature. Irmie and John
