Scorid Cottage is a traditional style dormer cottage built on a sheep farm. Purpose built for self-catering which provides all the extra comforts and meets with safety standards. All rooms are tastefully decorated, bright and spacious. The cottage sleeps 8 with 2 bedrooms on the ground floor. There is an open plan kitchen, dining /living area with open fireplace and large patio.
Oil fired central heating throughout. Fully enclosed gardens with barbeque area at rear and large shed which is ideal for storing all outdoor gear.

Please be aware that the host will read the energy meters prior to arrival and on departure and there may be a cost for excessive usage of heating and electricity.

Veronica met us on arrival with Homemade Scones and Jam which were delicious.she showed us around the property showing us where Electrics and Heating was controlled fromWe had a lovely time the property was comfortable and all that you needed was suppliedLovely friendly experience will definitely retur. Excellent location

Lovely house with ample, comfortable seating. Extremely well equipped kitchen. Plenty of really good restaurants a 10 - 20 min drive away. Huge golden strand just a 10 min drive - empty most of the time ! We were a family of 6 that stayed. Our host Veronica, was most friendly and attentive, thanks Veronica !

Ideal base from which to explore Kerry - beaches very close, but shop before you go as local shops thin on the ground. Fabulous views and plenty of wildlife - we had a fantastic holiday!!

Scorid cottage review

This was my third stay at scorid cottage. The location as a fishing base is ideal, every type of fishing a very short drive away.The cottage is very spacious clean and has everything you need. Veronica will welcome you with scones and is a short walk away should a problem arise. Can't wait untill my next visit.

Lovely Ireland

Deceptively large cottage in a beautiful part of Ireland. Small niggles were very quickly sorted. Plenty of space inside and outside with wonderful views from the lounge. Could not ask for more at this price. Highly recommended.

wonderful holiday at Scorid Cottage

Thank you for a great holiday Veronica at Scorid Cottage, we had a wonderful time staying with you. The cottage was just as we expected, clean modern and views to die for. Veronica welcomed us with some home made scones, was available if we needed any help, but left us to our own devices to enjoy the peace and quite of the surrounding country side. We honestly did not want to leave and hope to visit again one day. Anne and Nigel.

Wonderful and Relaxing.

Beautifully situated, quiet, but not remote. Sit in the lounge and look out one window and see the sea in the distance, turn your head and look out another window and view the mountains. Beautiful scenery, short drive to stunning beaches. The house itself is relaxed, comfortable and well equipped. Plenty of bathrooms, so if there's several of you, no queues. Absolutely lovely - All you could want

This is a lovely holiday home in a completely gorgeous location. The property was as described and did not disappoint at all. It has a fantastic open plan layout with spacious, light and airy bedrooms. Plenty of toilet and shower room facilities. All clean and comfortable. The owners are lovely and friendly and went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. We had a lovely welcome and were made to feel completely at home. I would highly recommend this property to anyone. The location is amazing with the most spectacular views from the property. I never tired of that view. Very close to beautiful beaches - short drive away. It is just minutes from the Connor Pass which is totally amazing. Only a short drive away from Dingle with all its fabulous attractions and cheap supermarkets etc. Not far from Slea Head which is the most amazing sight I have ever beheld. Good commute distance to Tralee and good location for exploring The Ring of Kerry and North Kerry - Ballybunnion etc, also close to Inch Beach which is renowned for it's beauty . This has been my most enjoyable holiday experience ever. Ireland is wonderful and Kerry is just the best. You will not be disappointed.

Wonderful located cottage with nice views on Mount Brandon the surrounding area. The house is well furnitured and the bed rooms are excellent. Everything was clean and well-maintained. We hat some problem with one of the showers but the owner maintained it instandly. Thanks to the great hospitalily of the owner. We spent a wonderful two weeks holiday and will go back to Scorid Cottage for sure.

Wonderful Vacation Home in a Gorgeous Setting

We stayed at this beautiful home in June 2010. The house is so much better than the pictures show. We arrived in the late evening and Veronica and her son showed us around the property. They left us with a delcious homemade bread and milk in the refrigerator. The home was immaculate and very comfortable. It had everything we needed for a perfect week stay. The propertly has one of the most scenic sites we have ever seen. The gorgeous, lush green mountains were just stunning, We were surprised to be able to see the ocean from the living room window too! In the morning, we enjoyed our breakfast outside on the picnic table and loved watching the little lambs frolic nearby. We also enjoyed talking with Veronica and her son as we asked many questions about sheep farming and about the surrounding area. Our children loved running around the front property. It was a great home for a family with children! The drive to Dingle is spectacular. We also enjoyed our trips to the many local villages and the beach. We are hoping that we can get back to the area again and would definitely stay at this home again. Thank you, Veronica and family for sharing your vacation home with us!

Beautiful! Wonderful!

Rolling fields and beautiful mountains – everything wonderful that I’ve ever heard about Ireland, I found in and around this lovely cottage! As soon as I pulled up I knew I made the right choice. The views from every direction are spectacular! And upon walking into the cottage, the lovely atmosphere continued with the tastefully appointed living area and spacious bedrooms. And what a nice touch to see Veronica had left some fresh homemade scones on the counter for us to enjoy. Speaking of the kitchen, it was furnished with everything we needed to whip up the tasty breakfasts and dinners we made from the very fresh food that we picked up locally. If the evening is chilly, you could certainly put the heat on but I’d be quick to recommend firing up some peat and wood in the fireplace and enjoy the warmth and glow. A short drive over ‘the hill’ to Dingle also offers an exciting panorama. And Dingle is a town in which my family & I thoroughly enjoyed. From the reasonably priced boat tour, to the sights, sounds as well as the tastes in the bars and restaurants. Also, while in the South West, don’t forget to go out of your way to strike up conversations with what must be the most friendly and interesting people in the world. I also highly recommend a drive around Sleigh Head, a drive around the peninsula as well as the short trips to Brandon Point and Tralee. The entire area is heavily steeped in history. There’s an abundance of ruins dating back to the Iron, Bronze & Neolithic periods. Thank you so very much Veronica and Michael for your hospitality, your lovely cottage and a great location to tour South West Ireland. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for my family’s experience of a lifetime.

We had a very nice time

It was our first trip to Ireland and we were looking for a nice and quiet cottage where we could relax for a while. Scorid cottage was exactly what we were looking for. The owners are very friendly people who welcomed us very warmly and with delicious and self baked scones. The house itself is very pleasant and well equipped. From the large window in the living room you have a very nice view. We enjoyed the evenings, sitting by the fire and having a good glass of wine. The area is also very nice but you need definitely a car if you want to go out. Even the nearest pub is too far away for a walk. The drive to Dingle along Connor Pass Road is breathtaking and a bit adventurous. We came all along from Japan, where we live but it was well worth and we would like to visit again some day!!

I AM FRENCH AND MY ENGLISH IS NOT VERY GOOD; BUT I WANT SAY : I M VERY SATISFIED ; THE HOUSE WAS VERY BEAUTIFUL. Tout était très propre et les photos vraiment représentatives de la réalité. Spahn family and friends

A lovely cottage in owerwhelming surroundings. We loved our stay despite of the typical Irish weather. The owner was very nice and the scones tasted wonderful. We did not only explore Dingle peninsula, but also Tralee, Killarny, the Ring of Kerry and the Cliffs of Moher. We are away from the hectic daily routine and find friendly people and an unspoilt countryside. Scorid cottage is a nice house eqipped with everything you need to have a pleasant stay. We are sure to come again some day. Bye, Ireland!

This is a very a thoughtfully equipped and comfortable house - decorated with flair - and care. Views from the cottage are stunning - of mountains and sea. The owners are very kind - and the situation is an ideal one for hill-walkers, for bathers and surfers to stay. Dingle, archeological sites, the Blasket islands, music, restaurants and pubs are, by way of a short but breathtaking drive, within easy reach.

Good! Great for the Dingle area.

The house was clean and well organized. The two story layout of the house was great for us since we had two families with multiple generations. The separation of floors gave us privacy and kept us comfortable. We loved having the sheep next door. Our hostess was warm and easy-going. It felt like home.

une vue magnifique entre la montagne et Fermoil Beach ... Super bien situé, le gîte offre la mer, la montagne, la campagne dans un même espace ... Dingle à un quart d'heure pour les courses et le shopping ... Du plus jeune au plus âgé de la famille, tout le monde y a trouvé son compte. Les sportifs se sont éclatés et les contemplatifs en ont pris plein les yeux ... C'était super.

Ireland as it should be

We really enjoyed our holidays on the Dingle Peninsula. We were really impressed by the amazing landscape. Our host was very welcoming and uncomplicated. Nothing was missing in the holiday home. Anyway, we were very satisfied.

Our stay at Cloghane

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time staying at this lovely cottage. Veronica was friendly and helpful. The property was clean and well equipped. The view out the front door is postcard worthy. Our only regret was not bringing more of our friends with us- this house can comfortably accommodate 6-8 people. Look forward to staying here again.
