Close by, Black Horse Academy specializes in training Polocross and Polo horses, led by Errol Gloyn, coach of New Zealand's World Cup Polocross team. You're welcome to observe polo horse training sessions.

The Space:
Black Horse Cabin 2 by Tiny Away sits in the countryside of Waitoki, North Island, New Zealand. A charming, tiny home with glistening, calm pond views and a spacious lawn area for your family and children to unwind. If you're lucky, you can even spot Kingfishers, Fantails, and other native birds in the area. When life gets too busy, our holiday homes offer a peaceful escape for relaxation and healing!

A safe sanctuary with an electric security gate, fully fenced, and just 36 minutes away from Auckland. Along with several stunning beaches in the area, such as Orewa Beach, Browns Bay, Long Bay, and Takapuna Beach, all while being just a stone's throw away from the excitement of the Eventfinda Stadium and its many upcoming events from February to November.

A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home that invites guests to savor countryside views, with the chance to feed and interact with horses, enhancing the overall experience of the property.

Complete with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers).

BOOK YOUR STAY! Continental breakfast is included (cereal, peanut butter, milk, chocolate, collective tea, and coffee).

We have three other tiny houses called Black Horse Cabin 1, 3, and 4. If you would like to book as a group, please contact your land host at least 24 hours in advance to arrange the booking.

Guest Access:
Guests will have easy access to the tiny house follows the signs. For your safety, please don't enter horse paddocks. Horses training areas should not be entered without the owner's permission as it is a sensitive and working area.

Black Horse Cabin 2 by Tiny Away is located at a handy countryside spot in Waitoki with exciting locales around the corner. Our holiday home is just a 20-minute drive from Orewa and a 36-minute drive to Auckland (off-peak). Explore the surrounding region with easy access to Orewa Beach, Wainui Golf and Function Centre, Snowplanet, Ōmeru Reserve, Browns Bay, Takapuna Beach, Riverhead Forest, Long Bay, Onepoto Domain, Adventure Park Auckland, and Eventfinda Stadium.

Getting Around:
By car:

•⁠ ⁠From Auckland CBD, it’s a 30 minutes drive off-peak time, 32 km.
•⁠ ⁠From the nearest town Silverdale, it’s a 10 minutes drive, 10km.
•⁠ ⁠From Orewa, it’s a 14 minutes drive, 14km.
•⁠ ⁠From Albany, it’s a 18 minutes drive, 18km.
•⁠ ⁠We are reachable by both 2WD and 4WD car.

By public transport:

•⁠ ⁠From Auckland CBD, take the NX1 to Hibiscus Coast Bus Centre (terminal to terminal), please let us know in advance and we can arrange to pick up the guests from Hibiscus Coast Bus Centre.

Other Things to Note:
- Wifi is not available
- Pets are not allowed
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- Smoking is not allowed; designated smoking areas are available.
- Mobile Reception for Vodafone, 2degrees, and Spark is good; Telstra and Optus has no signals.
- Don’t forget to close the windows and lock the doors when leaving the tiny house/property.
- Make sure to turn off the lights, air conditioning, and electronics (e.g., especially chargers).
- We would like to advise guests that extended stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge.

Important note:

- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban.
- For stays of 5 nights or more (or for bookings of 5 nights or more), an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
