Ft. Myers is recovering from a hurricane. However there has never been a better time to visit as with fewer visitors you have some exclusivity. Edison is a bargain, no doubt about it. Rooms are huge, clean super well equipped with everything you’d have in a regular house. A few local bars and eateries are fully open and the relaxed vibe is back. Edison is a survivor and although the pool isn’t yet rebuilt, it stands right on on one of the best beaches you could ever want. The place is spotless and you won’t regret staying here.

The property was spotless and full of little extras that we didn’t expect and hadn’t experienced before in other places we have stayed. The apartment was in the perfect location and had a spectacular view of the beach and the incredible sunsets. The staff were so welcoming and made the stay even better. We would recommend this property without reservation.

Very clean spacious apartment with all the facilities you would need and more. Beach equipment also available for use at no extra cost Ask for a room at the back of the building as the front apartment was a bit noisy very early in the mornings with Garbage trucks and other traffic Excellent -location right on the beach

Superb location, excellent overall experience

We originally booked for three nights, then extended stay by another night as we were so impressed. Superbly clean, very quiet. Plenty off-street parking. It's the first time that we have rented an apartment. It was equipped to the highest level with everything we needed, and more !. Washing machine/dryer, dishwasher, etc. We were even more impressed as there was an ongoing schedule of room restyling (not that it was needed!) and we heard nothing during our whole stay. Plenty of shops and restaurants in walking distance and a 711 opposite for any items you needed. Beach outside is swept every morning. We were there over the 'red tide' period. This didnt affect our stay, the beach was beautiful with early morning yoga classes outside our window to the beautiful sunsets at night. Hard times for the local shops etc, please support the community by staying here and spending your dollars. The staff were ever discreet but exceptionally helpful right down to the happy 'Good Mornings' from the cleaning staff. Two very happy UK visitors !!

Great stay

Amazing stay even though area hit hard by red tide at the moment. Kim and Denise on the reception when booking I were absolutely amazing, very informative and friendly they are a credit to the hotel. Rooms were spotless and the views amazing. Will definitely be back next summer. Thank you

Perfect place to relax and enjoy the beach.

Our first impression was that it was lovely & clean, in the perfect location and perfect for us. We were given a complimentary bag with a dolphin teddy and tea and coffee as well as a full size bar of soap at check in. Staff were lovely and our suite was just the same. Fantastic view of the beach from our balcony, 10 seconds and you're at the waters Edge! The room was clean, tidy and spacious and full of every amenity you could need. The bathroom was stocked with little shampoos etc and even make up remover wipes. There were also beach towels in the room. We got all our washing done and were able to store all our food and drink in the fridge. Even the little freezer had ice in it and two little chocolates on the pillow topped it off! The hotel has its own pool and loungers and you can also hire bikes. We were able to walk along the beach and explore the little town area full of cheap beach shops and nice restaurants. (We were in room 203, it had a very noisy fridge freezer that kept waking us, but when we checked out we were told they had a new one on order and would be swapping the existing one with the staff one until it arrived.) This is a really nice hotel that we would stay at again. It was perfect!

Excellent on the beach hotel

This was the first time that we stayed at this hotel and were blown away by the views over the Gulf from our balcony. The place was clean and well maintained with the staff always willing to help. Will come back here again.

Really nice apartment style unit right on the beach. A bit dated, but for the price and location, no complaints. Free on site parking. Pool is not currently operational, which we didn't realize when we booked. I think they are working on getting it back up and running.

Had an excellent stay at the Edison Beach House. The hurricane hit the area, and the hotel hard but both are well on their way to recovery. The hotel pool is under construction. Our room was advertised as partial ocean view but offered expansive views from the windows and balcony. The room was super clean and comfortable with all necessities. Right on the beach and a short walk to restaurants and bars.

It was an absolute pleasure to stay the week at the Edison Beach House! It was quiet, clean, and every single person who worked there was helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to make our stay amazing. The beds in our room were SO comfortable—and I am very particular. There is plenty of beach equipment to borrow each day, and I can’t express how perfect the location is! Every room has a clear view of the gulf. Oh, and there is a very nice elevator and luggage carts to get all of your items and groceries up quickly. Have fun!
