Hotel was average, room was basic but very clean. Had problem charging our phones because there was no socket! We had to use the kettle power socket. Just stayed for one night. Train station is 10 mins walk and most of the attractions are walkable. It was lovely to be welcomed with Mulled wine at the Reception which felt very festive as we were there for Christmas market!

Lovely One-Night stay

I thought this was a very pleasant stay. My room was very spacious, clean, well-equipped and with adequate air conditioning. The shower was clean with strong water pressure and the bed was comfortable. Nice receptionist too and the 24h reception is very useful. Less than 10 minutes’ walk from the train station and about 15 to the old town, which is fabulous!

Better than expected

Rooms were basic but clean and with enough kitchen facilities to do simple self-catering. Just 10 minutes walk from the station and about 15 into the city. I had feared the worst after reading reviews about how noisy it was. Clearly this must have been due to the other guests staying at the time, as it was almost unnaturally quiet during my stay. I was also lucky to get a room overlooking a side street.

In need of TLC

The hotel is in a convenient location, about 15-20 minute walk from the Cathedral. Staff were helpful. However the rooms are dated and in poor condition. There was mould round the shower base and the tiles needed cleaning. The currains had holes in and were dirty, and there was only one pillow provided.

Strasbourg, a fairy tale city!

Great place to stay. Less than 10 mins from the main train station and about 7 mins to a large mall. Strasbourg is simply beautiful, a fairy tale place to be in!

Avoid at all costs. Starting with check-in we’re the receptionist could barely be bothered to utter a word - his phone must have been more interesting. Only interested in us paying the local tax. Didn’t explain which floor we were on or anything. The room was poor (apart from the air con, which was good). An open electrical connection box in the room (luckily no children in our party, otherwise could have been very dangerous). Water boiler directly above the toilet. As long as you didn’t stand up when you left the loo, you were ok. 1 working light - 2 other lights, though both missing bulbs. 1 working plug socket. No coat hangers at all. Why have a wardrobe if you can’t hang clothes up ? Request for fresh towels (via email, message and asking Expedia) was ignored. Had to use the same towels through the stay. Felt unsafe as followed in a couple of times very closely and it appeared people were trying to gain access to see which room you were in. Hotel Quite obviously not interested. Complained to Expedia who were just as bad and kept us on hold an hour saying they were trying to get an answer from the hotel about a refund (which was refused). We didn’t want a refund, just fresh towels, light bulbs and coat hangers. Seriously avoid like the plague. The ‘welcome’ should have been a warning sign about this ‘hotel’.
