Clean and good room. Terrible customer service

I arrived to checkin in the evening, was completely ignored without any sort of acknowledgement by front desk who was on the phone, got out my ID and finally somebody made some effort to come over. Do not value gold member benefits beyond the free drink, had to checkout at 11 sharp as hotel was full. Felt very poorly valued as a guest, high resort fee was not explained why. I am being honest about this as nobody even asked how was my stay upon checkout, so it felt like they really did not care how I felt as a guest. Not been to such a rude and poor attitude hotel in a long time. A saving grace was the excellent concierge and luggage handling team post checkout.

The hotel is safe and clean. There are limited dining options in the evening. Room was comfortable but my sheets were torn. The Florida Mall is not in the most selubrious part of town but convenient for what I was in town for.
