Good and bad

Good points and bad. The check in was excellent, a helpful young lady who showed us the apartment and didn’t bother us again until reminding us of the check out procedure. The apartment was very clean, spacious, well equipped and ideally placed to visit Gunwharf Quays. However, the apartment is ground floor and the blinds were broken meaning the inner apartment is visible to those outside. Also the noise from the foyer next to the apartment and that outside the windows drifted loudly into the accommodation. You expect some noise but this was excessive late in the evening or early in the morning. This wasn’t helped by men outside using pressure washers to clean the paving. Starting shortly after six am was not pleasant if you fancy a sleep in.

Okay place in a great location

Great location, spacious apartment. Needs some tlc and a refresh. Tin plates.replaced broken originals, melted spatula, weird stains on bedroom wall and carpet, shower head was so covered in limescale the water went in all directions and flooded the bathroom floor. Beds were a bit saggy and pillows either lumpy or like bricks. Parking is £15 a night.

Lovely apartment, will definitely go back.

First time in an apartment. So lucky to have chosen these rather than local hotels. Well furnished, comfy beds, all the facilities you could need. Will definitely go back.

Great location. We parked our car and ventured out everywhere on foot. The flat had everything we needed, though more spices and condiments in the cupboard would be a bonus in future. The bed wasn’t the most comfy and I noticed the bedroom curtains had a stain, as we visited in the summer we were woken by the sun at 5am, black out curtains could have been a winner there. The train does pass nearby and you will hear the train noise. Aside from those small niggles, it was a largely great stay.

Modern, clean, well equipped apartment in an excellent location. Easy to find with good parking allowing you unlimited access over the break away. Negative points the extractor fan for the bathroom wasn’t working and it was a double bed not a king bed

I am waiting for someone to call me back from hotel.com we drove for 5 hrs to get there and never stayed came home it had a terrible musky dirty smell. Quilt on the bed had yellow all round the edges & black dots on it .floor was all sticky too terrible this was for my husbands birthday so unhappy

Nice but not special

Me and my Partner stayed in this apartment last weekend for 3nights. Location is good. Shopping is just next door gunwharf quays. The apartment itself isn’t that appealing compare to the pictures i saw on the internet, to think its very expensive like 100pounds a night. Nothing special about the property thats the best word for it. I’ve seen better. Overall we had a good work in Portsmouth as always.

Great overall

Our stay was great overall. Our apartment was very clean and comfortable. It was very close to the amenities of the gun wharf quays with the ample amount of good restaurants and bars and shops.The corridor to our apartment had not been cleaned the length of our stay (4 days) there was something spilt on the carpet, (looked like a trail of feathers). This was a bit disappointing. Also the description of luxury/deluxe was a bit exaggerated as our living area wasnt as good a standard as the bedrooms and bathrooms. Just tiny details that didn't affect our stay but would have made a difference. The service from the staff was very good.

nice, clean, functional property. I'm not sure I'd call that a harbour view although you could see the sea. wasn't really a problem but we were overlooking the car park, naval sports fields and houses rather than a direct look out to sea, just like we had when we didn't have a harbour view property previously. Some things didn't work like any bedside lamps and the fan in the bathroom, the problems or a property that is only on short term let I guess. all said and done though fantastic place to stay, fabulous location and would stay here again

The apartment was in need of some repairs and redecoration, the bedroom carpet was very stained. The service we received was very good and building is well situated for shops, entertainment and local dockyard. However we were not told about the railway line behind the building this caused a constant clatter day and night.
