Beautiful accommodation in beautiful surroundings. The apartment was stunning, well equipped and cleaned daily. The Belmar is a 5 minute walk from the beach. However, the location is quite isolated if you have no car. The nearest mini-market is a 20 minute walk and there are limited bars or restaurants within walking distance although there is a restaurant and a small bar on site. Lagos old town is a 45 minute walk, so a taxi is needed.

I have been travelling many places around the world and stayed different 4 and 5 stars resorts but I never experienced check out time at 10am and check in at 4pm. Also you couldn't find a box of tissue and free coffees and tea for our 6 days 2 bedrooms apartment. Towels change twice a week and same with cleaning too. Not happy with all these and I definitely won't be back to this resort again. And also my apartment was out of electricity for a night.

The hotel itself is very nice and I liked the small kitchen in the room. I was also very impressed with the spa although disappointed to find out it closed at 7.00pm. I think given this is advertised as a luxury hotel there should have been a nice selection of toiletries in the bathroom.

Loved our 4 days there. Room was great, good breakfast and location very convenient for us. A suggestion for improvement would be that on the ground floor studios you may consider slightly darker curtains to give some more privacy. In any case this did not spoil our perfect stay. We would definitely recommend.

Would recommend this hotel to everybody!!! Pros: - Location - Close to beach and walk along the cliffs overlooking the caves - 5 min taxi to centre of lagos, only cost 5 euros but definitely better to stay at this location and pay taxi than stay in centre - Large room with good kitchen unit, perfect for cooking - Spa/pool/facility was amazing - Resturant dinner was great and the staff we're very friendly - and many more! Cons - The walk to shop is quite far but with the fridge/kitchen we just did a big shop on the first day so wasn't an issue
