Good communication about how to access the property as I arrived after reception closed. The apartment was well equipped and it was ideal for one or two people, but though it claimed to be for 4, two couples would have found it very uncomfortable, with one couple in the double bed and the second couple inches away on the sofa bed. It was disappointing to arrive at 11am and have to make up my own bed, and though the hotel was far from full when I arrived, I was given a room which looked out onto a square at the back and had a footpath running along right outside my window. Apartments looking onto the gardens (which I have had in the past) would have been much better. On the day of departure Reception were helpful in looking after my bags until I left St Martin in the afternoon.

For anyone looking to stay in Ile De Re, I'd advised not here. For starters, it is NOT made clear that a normal room only has a sofa bed in and not a proper bed. Also if you look through some of the pictures I have uploaded, the room felt very run down and just not very nice for the price. If I'd have known this, and not fallen for their photos online, I'd have paid a bit more to stay somewhere a lot better. A few things to list: - Sofa bed was terrible, they should state that the room does not contain a proper bed. - The extra bed in the room was another sofa...like why are there ZERO beds? - Paint peeling off the wall and ceilings. - Fans/Extractor in toilet and bathroom might as well not be there. - Room was not very clean. - Reception just are not that helpful. You can actually rent bikes at this place but for some reason in the help guide (in the room) it says goto YooToo rental(who are excellent!) but when we asked the reception they didn't even tell us that we could rent bikes here... - The reception had no idea how to get back to La Rochelle station. We just wanted some advice but couldnt get any. - The gym is NOT a gym. It contains about 4 cardio machines that are worn down. - The pool is very small and a weird size. Don't think it was made for swimming. A good thing is that the people are nice and you can tell the company need to just help them more. Overall, I hate to write bad reviews but I certainly wouldn't recommend this place.

Fantastic Area let down by accomodation

Firstly the good. Very helpful and friendly reception staff. The location is great. Close to the port and all amenities. 10 minutes from the bus stop. The kitchen was well equipped. Where there is room for improvement The public areas inside the hotel are in real need of updating. The beds were very hard The accommodation was fairly basic , for the price. The swimming pool is small for the number of guests

Nice hotel, friendly staff and close to the harbou

Close to the town centre and not far from the supermarkets. The room was surprisingly spacious and not badly laid out, although the bathroom and toilet were on different floors. The staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful. Amenities were good and well maintained. I would recommend the hotel to others and would consider staying there again.

Nice but definitely not a 4 star!

Stayed in one of the family apartments in early June. A 4 star rating is generous to say the least. Rooms tired and a bit smelly. No staff onsite from 7pm to 8am. It manages to get away with it by being in such a fantastic location. Kids liked it though as nice area to play outside and a small swimming pool.

Great stay, good hotel, facilities and staff.

A week stay for a family of three in one of the small apartments. The room was fine with all the facilities we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was getting a little tired hence only 4 stars. The pool was enjoyable. We didn't use our car all week - we hired a tandem and bicycle from the hotel and enjoyed discovering the lovely island via the many cycle routes. Ideal flat countryside for cycling. The bikes were in good condition and hire rates were competitive with other providers

Great location, needs a revamp though

Great location for base in Saint Martin de Re but the place needs a revamp. Depressing scruffy communal areas but studio was clean and bright. No entry to check-in between the hours of 12pm-3pm so a left-luggage facility would have been good. Staff were really nice and helpful. Couldn't see any air-con in room - we stayed in May and weather was pleasant but rooms was very hot at night.

Poor housekeeping!

We arrived at the hotel at 3pm to be told our room was ready. We walked into the room and it was clear that it was not ready for occupation!! Floor was filthy, bathroom dirty, beds unmade and room generally grubby. Complained to reception who were very apologetic and sent a cleaner to deal with the room. (We were travelling with another party staying in another room who also had housekeeping issues). Our larger family room (34) was also a little tired and in need of upgrading. The smaller rooms have been refurbished. A great shame as a fantastic position on the Ile de Re.

Etape de rêve sur l'Ile de Ré !

Très belle maison bien située dans Saint Martin. Appartement très bien équipé, propreté impeccable. Accueil très pro et souriant. Tres beau parc avec parking. Et piscine, sauna et fitness a disposition ! La dpuceur de l'Île de Ré en prime !

Très bon emplacement sur l'île de Ré

Un établissement très bien placé, au cœur de Saint-Martin de Ré. Port et commerces sont accessibles à pied. Parking pour se garer (suffisant hors saison, mais sans doute compliqué en haute saison car relativement petit). Un très bon accueil. Studio confortable. Le bâtiment est un peu vieillissant mais les logements sont bien équipés.

Gros manque d'entretien

Résidence vieillissante qui manque de travaux de maintenance, ce qui est dommage car le lieu est charmant et a deux pas du port et des commerces. Dans le studio loué, on retrouve des toiles d'araignées, des traces de moisissure sur les rideaux et sur les plafonds, traces d'insectes, des morceaux du plafond qui décollent, des restes de pistaches au sol ... Pas terrible vu le montant de la nuit ! Concernant les services : la piscine est bien plus petite que ce que laissent penser les photos. Elle est chauffée mais vraiment pas de trop, au moins personne n'y reste longtemps. Le liner se décolle mais l'équipe fait ce qu'elle peut pour entretenir cet espace qui est très propre. L'espace sauna et hammam étaient fermé suite à un incendie. Nous avons découvert ça au moment de notre arrivée, il aurait été judicieux de nous en informer lors de la réservation 2 jours avant ...

Bon séjour à pierre et vacances palais du gouverneur, on a eu une chambre sans extérieur ce qui explique la note de 3, studio très fonctionnel, deco ambiance hôpital, emplacement de la résidence t'es bien proche (4 mn à pied) du port. Picine petite mais très bien chauffée parce que seule la couverte était ouverte, mais on a été en mesure d’être seuls dedans (avantage de la chambre à côté pour voir si c’est pas trop full) . L’ensemble est bien.
