Cute primitive probably old hunting cabin under beautiful pine trees. The cabin inside is well kept. Nice hidden piece of property just needs some old unused things cleaned up under the leaves but overall was a very nice 4th of july weekend for us and our large dog.
Such a beautiful property, from the Cabin to the area its located in! Thank you so much for sharing your property with us for the weekend. We will definitely be coming back!
Its the cabin I've been searching for for years, Its very clean and the outside environment is very spacious. The outside bathroom was very clean. It does have solar powered lights but they dont last forever so bring lanterns, There is no running water so plan for that, There was evidence of mice so if that creeps you out then dont rent. Its very secluded so Animals are expected. Ive already rebooked. There was no coffee pot so i brought my own propane coffee pot because that porch was too perfect to not drink coffee on 😊
It took us a minute to find the property, but once we did it was exactly as described. We loved how secluded it was. We had such a wonderful time and will definitely be back!
We love coming to this spot with our dog for overnights to grab some bottles of wine and unwind by the fire pit. Cabin in warmed nicely by the wood burning stove and provided blankets. It’s a wonderful little gem tucked away in the woods.

It is truly a rustic log cabin! Very quite and relaxing. Definitely be conscious that there is no water, not even a well hand pump. Bed was comfortable and the wood stove kept it nice and warm.
Very nice getaway, great for our pups to run, nice fire!
The only negative is that the door did not lock. But besides that, it was a great spot. Would recommend!
When we first arrived to the cabin we immediately knew our trip to this little getaway was going to be wonderful. For a couple wanting a romatic getaway that loves nature this surely was the place! We loved the cabin, the porch the fire place where we cooked all our meals and sat outside in the evening under the blankets snuggling and admiring the beauty of the trees and the wildlife. The cabin was so clean and taken care of we didnt have to do anything to feel welcomed and at home. We have been to this cabin a few times now and will continue to come up enjoying the wonders of all the seasons at this quaint cabin in the woods! Ee highly recommend this cabin to anyone and at any season!
This is a 5 star place if you’re into rustic living. Read and understand the ad and you’ll be in good shape. This is totally off the beaten path but they do have lights, a nice, easy, and effective propane fireplace, and a 5G hotspot (although cell service seems to be fine there, overall). The place was spotless and you feel as if you’re on your own in the world. It’s great.
Had a great time at the Rustic Ridge Log Cabin. Good location for being away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist but close enough to get to all the great State Parks and wineries. Cabin was 'as described' - I brought a solar lantern and solar battery pack to charge my phone which helped out. Bring your own water for cooking and drinking. We cooked one night using the propane stove. No fridge so bring extra ice in your cooler to keep your food and drinks cold. Shower is available but water is cold! We used the shower to wash hands only! The porta potty was decently clean and did not smell too bad. Cabin was clean and amazing not too many bugs around. Great location at end of dead end road. Very quiet and cozy. Thank you!

Camping with roof and bed
The area was beautiful. The cabin was nice and we knew it would be rustic. But in the listing they listed in amenities, refrigerator, oven and stove. There was not. You needed to take a cooler with ice for sure. We ened up having to leave not long after we arrived due to my husband being stung by something and having a bad reaction. We informed the owners we were leaving and why, and they let us know they spray twice a year, so they were aware of a problem. I understand acts of nature are no ones fault but there wasnt any sympathy given by owners. Our experience was bad but i hope it was just a one time thing.

Power didn’t work, room wasn’t turned over
When we entered the cabin, the bed wasn’t made and there was trash in the bin. Someone had either failed to clean it between guests or someone had been staying there illegally.
We were unable to contact the host through the Vrbo app. We located a phone number for the host on their property management site and contacted them through WhatsApp. The host stated to give them a few minutes and they would sort it out, and issue a refund.
There was also an issue with the power not working. On two separate screens, it indicated “low battery”. We sent detailed videos showing that the power was not working. Our messages were left on “read” and the host did not reply. We were left without power, access to lights, oven and the freezer for the duration of our stay. The host never provided any solution to the dirty sheets, or the power.
After unanswered messages, emails and phone calls, we are leaving this review and awaiting a refund as promised by the host.
Very nice rustic cabin in the woods. Everything was great except a lot of mouse feces on one of the beds. Could also hear the mice in the ceiling at night.
The cabin was everything we wanted our rustic getaway to be. The location is perfect for day trips to Watkins Glen and Hammondsport. Whether you want hiking or wine tours, it’s all right there. Be prepared for a really bare bones accommodation. We had the fire roaring while sipping some wine and whiskey. The only downfalls were the seating inside the cabin. Being the fall it was pretty crisp at night and could have used a couch to cozy up on by the fire but the bed was a good second choice. Also, you need to bring ALL of your kitchen stuff. We only were looking for a pot to boil water but the cabin didn’t have that, luckily Walmart was close by. Overall a great stay.
