About this property

Luxury Sea Pines home- All Newly renovated, 7 min walk 2 beach. Bring your dog.

Welcome to our Calm in the forest. Its time to relax and enjoy this brand newly renovated home on one of the more desirable streets in Sea Pines
Dog Friendly. (With approval)

4 minute bike ride- 7 minute walk to one of the most premier beaches on the east cost.

This unique home offers the seclusion, privacy and plenty of space for your family to build life long memories.

This house tucks you down in the desired south end/ south beach area of Sea Pine.

Access to South Beach Sea Pines Pool.

It's time to relax and hide in the forest of Sea Pines. Want to hear the ocean while you fall asleep? We've got you. (Although the frogs are pretty loud ;)

Welcome to our second Sea Pines relaxing vacation home. There are 3 rules of real estate, Location, Location, Location. This house was purchased without it ever hitting the market or ever stepping foot in it because of the great location.

This house is on a quiet, dead end street with just a 5-7 minute WALK to the beach. (You might find other bigger places that you have to drive to the beach... Not here)

You come out on beach marker #20....on to some of the most secluded and best beach on the east coast.

The Sea Pines Beach Club is marker #38 for reference. The numbers go down the more south you go.

The property is at 9 Audubon Pond. It is an original 1973 build and we are the second owners. We wanted to keep the Old School Sea Pines vibe..... but completely gutted it to the studs for ALL NEW Everything, including adding 4 new huge sky lights to open up the high ceiling main room with all kinds of muted natural daylight.

I'll spare you the grey hair causing details of a full gut renovation, but let's just says it's ALL new both inside and outside of the walls.

The house is tucked back in the trees on the property leaving it as secluded as possible.

Pull your vehicle out of the sun and under the carport to unload. (2 cars only).

When you walk up you are greeted by a brand new large deck with the tree house vibe and is my favorite place to drink coffee in the morning.

Once inside the kitchen greets you with all marble counter tops and island as well as all new appliances.

The main living room has high ceilings for a spacious feel with 4 skylights providing enough natural daylight to live up to the "Calm in the Forest" as the trees above the house provide a shaded, chilling in the forest vibe.

The wood trim is original from 1973, but brought up to date with a new darker color.

We left the original fire place, but at this time it is not functional. (So NO FIRES)

The back porch is the small, original cantilever design, which opens up to a back yard that is screaming for a large pool. (Sadly, no pool at this time as it takes 6-8 months to get a pool and we wanted to get this on the market.)

The Master bedroom has all new King beds and TV. The Queen bedroom also has a TV. Both are on the left side of the house, opposite the "Kids side" on the right.

In the far right room there are two twin beds. In the near right room there is a bunk bed with a twin on top and a full on the bottom.

The house has two bathrooms exactly the same on either side of the living room.

More photos and updates coming. Send us a message for more information.

While this property is new to VRBO, we are not. We have a second place in Sea Pines, VRBO 442849 that we owned since 2012.

We are the owners and managers of the property, not a rental company that is hard to get ahold of and slow to react.

We are looking forward to having you down.

I am from O-HHI-O. I started coming to Sea Pines when I was 18, my buddies dad had a place down at 78 South Sea Pines... I was hooked. I went to Ohio University for school. At the time OU got out later in the summer so we would come down to HHI for Memorial Day weekend and find jobs for the summer. I delivered pizzas all over the island out of the back of a bar that didn't close called Mojo Pie..... I was making so much money and having so much fun I almost didn't go back to college after that summer. Fast forward to "Adulting." I took my now wife down to Sea Pines. She loved the place with the bike paths in the shade and trees all over. I make a living selling plants. What I don't think people realize is that is THE PLANTS that make Sea Pines and Hilton Head so great. "Plants make people happy" Charles Frasier was thought crazy for his ideas of drawing roads AROUND the trees instead of leveling them. Almost all of the roads in Sea Pines are like this....this is why it is such a desired spot to relax and hide in the forest. After coming down every summer for 10 years in 2012 I set a goal to own a place in Sea Pines. In October 2012 we bought 24 Wildwood sight unseen (which wasn't common at that time.) It's a spacious 2 bed 2 bath in Greenwood Forest. (it is VRBO 442849) It has been a tremendous rental and investment for us. I always knew I wanted a place closer to the beach. (the goal was to be able to walk to the beach such a short distance that my coffee is still hot when I see the ocean in the morning.) With that goal in mind.... I was always looking for a second one. I got a coldcall from Brandon Greenplate. He knew my position at Wildwood and we talked about a second one. He goes.... "Do you wanna get your hands dirty?" We had a contract on this property- 9 Audubon Pond- late September 2022. On October 12th 2022... 10 years to the day of closing on 24 Wildwood... I was in this place for the first time.

Why they chose this property

It's all about locations. 9 Audubon Pond is down at the highly desirable sound end of Sea Pines. (It's like a 13 minute drive OUT of Sea Pines- but why leave Sea Pines lol) The property is on a dead end street. Almost all of the houses are on some sort of a marsh view or the pond that greats you as you turn down the road. Sadly our house doesn't have a marsh view. There is a large neighbor house visible as we wait for all off the bushes and trees we have planted to grow in. We didn't cut a single tree, but they leveled their lot and built a "McMansion" The front yard and porch is the most secluded "Hide in the forest" type spot. There is an all new "Trex" deck. (the fake, but real looking deck boards) No expense was spared on the front porch including wire between the post to not visually interrupt the natural views all around. There is hardly any traffic on the street and as the name implies it is "The Calm in the Forest" NOTE: between the marsh and the ponds near by there is an orchestra of frogs at night, as well as some pretty wicked bird sounds. If you are a family with young kinds you don't have to worry about them running around ponds or out into a busy street as the home is in a low traffic area.
