In Polperro you will find numerous pubs and restaurants plus the working harbour and small beach perfect for kids to explore. A walk east along the coast path will take you to the beach at Talland Bay and Lansallos Cove to the West is another stunning walk through the trees. Enclosed and private, magnificent large gardens. There is a BBQ area, summer house, hot tub and newly built outdoor heated swimming pool. The bedrooms are all individually furnished mostly in William Morris style.
4 doubles and 1 twins in the manor house and there are 2 doubles and a
single in the cottage. All bedrooms in the manor house have ensuite shower rooms & 1 is at ground floor level for easy access for any guest who finds stairs difficult. The large farmhouse kitchen is excellently equipped and includes an Aga & a conventional oven/hob. There is a utility room and a games room with a bar billiards table. One large dining area to seat all 17, in the manor house), or two separate dining areas. The Living room also has an open fire and a door leads to your own bar/snug room. With double doors opening to the garden this makes a great social space for
evening drinks.
The house has central heating and a fiber broadband connection. There are cot/toddler beds available. Built in the 18th Century of Cornish stone on the hill to the west side of the picture postcard fishing village of Polperro. The village is 5 minute walk down Landaviddy Lane (longer coming back up!) and has a pretty harbour,shops, pubs and restaurants. The coast path can be joined close to the
property and there are also other bridleways across the fields. Places to visit nearby include Looe, Fowey, Mevagissey, Lansallos, Talland Bay, Eden Project, the
Lost Gardens of Heligan, Liskeard & Truro. There are lovely beaches to explore, plus a selection of adventure parks and wildlife attractions for children. Fishing, golf, sailing, canoeing and many other activities are available nearby. This is Daphne Du Maurier Country and the annual literary festival at Fowey is a must for enthusiasts.
