About this property

Completely renovated secluded 6 bedroom farmhouse in central PEI

The Stordy House has been completely renovated in 2020-2021. Everything is NEW! Large rooms, with high ceilings and lots of the original character. This property is one of a kind! Perfect for large family vacations or reunions with friends.

6+1 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms (3 showers, 1 soaker tub), beautiful fully equipped bright kitchen with island and dining room with a huge table for everyone. 2 TV rooms, with additional reading nooks. 3 A/C heat pumps. High chair and portable crib. Care was taken to create rooms that would allow for privacy. If there is a group of noisy children in the bunk bed room, you will hardly hear them in the adjoining bedrooms.

This historic farm house is situated in the middle of 100+ acres of farm land. No neighbours except for the birds (eagles, hawks, partridges, and blue herons are common sites).

Only 15 minutes from the Confederation Bridge, with a general store only 2 kms away. Picturesque Victoria by the Sea is 5 minutes away.

The red sand beaches of the south shore are close by (5 to 15 minutes away). Victoria, Canoe Cove, and Argyle Shore are each beautiful to walk at low tide to search for shells and sea glass. They are also renowned for their warm water and sand bars where children love to play.

The beautiful white sand dune beaches of the North shore are a scenic 35 minute drive. Cavendish National Park, Stanhope and Rustico being popular destinations.

Mountain bikers and hikers will find this an ideal location, as you are 15 minutes from either the Mark Arendz Park at Brookvale, or the Bonshaw trail system. Road cyclists will find excellent routes through the picturesque countryside, with rolling hills and gorgeous ocean views. As avid cyclists ourselves, we would be happy to give you help in planning your adventures. Indoor bike storage is provided as well!

Guests have commented on how much they've enjoyed running on the country roads surrounding the house.

A small grocery store is less than 5 minutes away for any of those last minute items you may need. Gas stations, a liquor store, micro-brewery, and other shops are 15 minutes away in Borden-Carleton.

"Our stay at the Stordy House was just what we needed. The house was so peaceful and quiet, we slept so well. The bunk bed room was a major hit with the kids! The kitchen had everything we needed, and all eleven of us were able to fit around the table with room for more people. The obvious care and attention to detail when restoring this house is evident, from the refinished original floors to the use of reclaimed lumber for a bathroom vanity, everything was so beautiful.
Centrally located, we were able to explore the Island, and still feel refreshed with wonderful new memories made!" (Marni Goodman)

Easter @ Stordy House

Our stay at Stordy House was great. The house is beautiful and clean with everything we needed. It is also in a great location as it is only a short drive to the bridge and to Charlottetown. We will definitely stay here again.

Three Generation Family Gathering

Very private, yet central to beaches, shopping, restaurants, golfing, etc., this is a beautiful place to make lasting memories. The farmhouse, itself, has been restored with attention to detail incorporating modern coveniences with historical integrity. We had a wonderful stay.

Beautiful house!

We stayed with our extended family for a wedding on the island. The Stordy House was perfect! Great kitchen with everything you would ever need. Lots of towels and the sheets and beds were very comfortable. We had a great stay and would definitely stay here again!

Spent a great week with family

We had a fantastic week spent with family - 1 year to 75 years, 3 generations together. Tammy and family were very helpful and accommodating. Would definitely recommend the Stork house for anyone travelling to the island!

Comfortable home in a pastoral setting

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this historic, renovated farmhouse. It’s obvious that a lot of love went into making this homestead into a charming, efficient, and comfortable house. There was lots of space for our family of 9 (6 adults and kids ranging from 8 to 16). The house was amazingly quiet and it had everything we needed, including beach towels/toys and firewood for the fire ring. We liked sitting on the porch and enjoying views of the rolling farmland and the birdsong - yet it was convenient to many places of interest that were within about 30 minutes of the house. I definitely recommend this home, especially if you like to be away from the noise of the touristy areas.

Spectacular Vacation Home

Our group of friends rented this home for its size and proximity to the Mark Arendz Nordic Park. What a hidden gem! The farmhouse has been renovated beautifully and functionally. We could not have been more comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with all items that we needed. Beds and pillows were so comfortable! Washer and dryer made our stay so easy. Hosts were wonderful and easy to communicate with. We even had the cutest fox visit us fairly frequently. Thanks so much for a wonderful week on PEI! Looking forward to our return!

Perfect setting for our family get-together!

We were 3 generations, ages 3 to 77, and this property suited us all. A beautiful setting with rolling hill views from inside and out. Quiet roads for early morning jogs by the middle generation. This historic house has been beautifully restored with air conditioning, new big windows, modern kitchen and bathrooms but still maintains its old feeling. We were a group of 12 but never felt on top of each other but also had spaces for all be together, inside and out. The kids loved the bunk beds and the fire pit evenings. Any questions we had were quickly answered. Location was great, near the quaint town of Victoria with great restaurants and shops….and red beaches…and 1/2 hour + drive to Charlottetown or bigger white sand beaches. We would love to return to the Stordy House and are very happy to recommend it.

Great stay! Recommend to all especially with big families.

It’s been an awesome stay at TheStordy’s! The house has just been renovated and it’s cosy and spacious. The host and owner Tammy has been excellent in communications and is very kind and understanding. There are three levels in this house which keep guests apart in terms of space but also got this open plan kitchen with a big dinner for guests to enjoy some conversations while cooking and having meals. Very convenient. The location is perfect as it is half an hour away from everything, this includes Cavendish and Charlottetown, also about 20 minutes from the Confederation Bridge. Peaceful and quiet. Book this house for your next getaway and you won’t regret it.
