Lovely peaceful stay, yes you can hear road noise but it didn't bother us. The house is just lovely. Loved how close it was to town, and beach so nice not to have to drive anywhere. Would definitely stay stay here again.
The cottage is beautifully appointed and spacious. The outdoor area is pleasant & secure, but lacks grass/lawn & outdoor furniture.
The location is very convenient for town & the beach, but it is very noisy being on the main road - trucks thunder past all through the night, making for disturbed sleep.
this house is an easy stroll to the town center and beach. it is a gorgeous dwelling that is tastefully decorated and aesthetically pleasing. property manager was very helpful and came by the place within minutes to help troubleshoot how to get the stove on. hope we get a chance to return in the future.
We stayed for 3 nights at Kowhai Cottage (Fri/Sat/Sun). It is a lovely old Railway cottage that has been renovated stylishly. It is very well appointed with everything you might need. It is really close to the centre of town so you can walk to all of the shops, cafes and restaurants. The only thing to consider is that it is on the main road, so was noisy throughout the Friday night, Saturday morning with trucks and cars which did keep me awake. The second night I moved to the second bedroom which was a bit quieter. The bedrooms are lovely but have firm mattresses so if you are a side sleeper like me, they are a bit uncomfortable - but everyone else in my group didn't mind firm mattresses. It was really easy to access the house, we had no trouble with that, plus there was off street parking behind a secure fence and gate which was great. Was great having a separate private granny flat out the back too which my daughter and partner stayed in. Overall, an awesome cool trendy house in a very central spot!
