A TRUE HIDDEN PARADISE!

If you fly into Puerto Vallarta, it is best to use their VIP taxi service from the airport to Las Alamandas. It is well worth it since the trip is approximately 2.5 hrs and I would not recommend navigating yourself anywhere in Mexico. Our driver was very nice and courteous. They gave you 2 water bottles for the trip the moment you have clear custom. Once we get to the hotel, it was amazing. They have people waiting for us with margaritas and hot towels. They even have fresh fruits in the minibar for refreshment. The hotel is absolutely majestic. The view is unlike anything I have seen before. The hotel is ran and managed like a mansion. When we arrived, we found out that we were the only people onsite, which means we have the whole entire beach and resort to ourselves. I highly recommend watching the sunset at the Mirador with a cracker and cheese plate along with a nice bottle of wine. If you want to go swimming, go to Las Cuatas where the rip current is not too strong. As for a mid day picnic, try horseback riding from the hotel to Playa Soledad beach and enjoy your day from there. The food is a little on the high side in term of price, but that is expected. All in all, this is worth an investment if you truly want to unplug from the whole world. I highly recommend it. The memories here will last an entire lifetime and I will definitely go back in the near future.

Pullman Paris Rive Gauche

Stayed in this hotel last year. Got quite a deal with the hotel. Inside the lobby is nice, room is decent. Could be bigger though. What I like about this hotel was, there was some kind of a business building next door, there was McDonald, Public Swimming Pool with Fee, a few sporting stores and a food court. I was able to direct my laptop through the window facing the building and I was able to get free wireless access (unsecured). The location is tad far. I had to take the tube almost to the end of that section of town. It was about 30 minutes from the Champ Ellysses. Other than that it was pretty good. The tube station was about 5-10 minutes walk to the hotel.

Secluded hideaway great for relaxation and connecting with nature

We had a fantastic time! We stayed for 4 days for our honeymoon. The staff is extremely courteous and friendly. The property is beautiful and impeccably maintained, while nature is pristinely preserved. One is completely surrounded by nature. We were fortunate to watch humpback whales and dolphins from the hotel's main beach. We also had a great tour of the property guided by Graciela, the staff biologist, who showed us their turtle hatching program. The place is great for hiking, with miles of roads and breathtaking views of the seacoast and the river. Fantastic for birdwatching too. The beaches were beautiful, although families with kids should be aware that the strong sea currents may prevent them from swimming, depending on the conditions. The food is fresh, authentic and always delicious. Very highly recommended.
