New Forest Cottage overlooking Green where ponies & forest animals often graze
Ringwood Terrace is a charming late Victorian cottage at the end of a terrace of four houses overlooking Waters Green. The cottage is situated in a pleasant and peaceful setting within the conservation area on the edge of the village of Brockenhurst surrounded by some of the older cottages in the area. New Forest ponies and other forest animals often graze on Waters Green. From the cottage you can walk directly out onto Butts Lawn and Black Knowl or along the Lymington River to Queen Bower and Ober Heath into deep forest. The cottage sleeps up to six people comfortably. Parking is available off the road in front of the cottage on the edge of the Green. Brockenhurst lies off the main A337 Lyndhurst to Lymington road. The village has an excellent butcher, baker, general stores and post office on the high street which is only a few minutes walk away. Brockenhurst is well-located and surrounded by the New Forest, yet only a few minutes drive from the sea at Lymington - an attractive Georgian town renowned for its quayside, cobbled streets, sea-farers’ cottages, sailing boats and saturday street market. Lymington also has several supermarkets including Marks & Spencer, Waitrose and Tesco as well as some good restaurants and public houses with good food and pleasant atmosphere.

Great location perfect base for exploring. Kitchen fabulous. Overall the property seems unloved and in need of some TLC. Owner good with communication. Not great info' about house and rules. Despite the issues we enjoyed our stay.

Pleasant but needs a bit of work.
This is a good size property in a good location for visitors to the New Forest, Bournemouth, Southampton and surrounding areas.
There are a few things that need to be addressed in the property itself and we have informed the owners about them.
Once these items have been sorted out I would probably give it a 4.5 or 5* rating.
We had a great time. (5 persons) The location was ideal for walks from the house or a short drive out. The kitchen, dining area were ideal and sleeping arrangements were great for 5. Pubs and restaurants are only 5 mins away. A great break , i would definitely go back.
We have just had a lovely family weekend. Stephen communicated with us excellently, the location of the cottage was perfect, no parking problems, close to the village and right in the New Forest. The property was well stocked and homely, with a lovely family kitchen to enjoy family time. It suited us perfectly. Thank you! We would like to stay again sometime when we are down visiting family
The property is in an idyllic location, with ponies and cows outside on the green most days. Stephen made the check in so easy and friendly - there were even roses for our welcome. We’ll be back for sure and definitely recommend. (I also really recommend the Italian restaurant in the village!!).

such a shame
from the front garden full of weeds ,with door and window dirty, that was your first impression ,and didnt get any better ,it seemed like someone had moved out from living there to accommodate us ,the decor was poor and if you have kids the garden is a tip
Had a lovely few days with family. Overall the stay was very nice but reference should have been made to it being a “work in progress” project for the owner. In addition, was advertised as having fireplace but does not have one which can be used. Minor points which I am sure will be addressed and did not spoil our stay.
Ample accommodation for three adults in walking distance from bars and restaurants acted as a great base of operations to visit the local area.
The property is now in mid renovation and has a beautiful kitchen and bathroom. The house will ultimately be a beautiful modern property yet was still very clean and tidy even in the middle of this process.
Brockenhurst is a delightful town, and the ponies that wander in the street lend a very rural feel. The house was exactly as advertised. We found it clean and neat. The kitchen was well stocked to cook for a family of six. The street was quiet, and the house has a lovely view of an open field. We would definitely stay here again.

presentability
it was not very clean my wife had to spent about half an hour before we unpacked. with a bit of work in garden property can be more liveable.
Had a perfect 2 weeks in the new forest, with ponies and cattle just roaming happily and grazing on the green, was idyllic .
The cottage had everything that you need when away and was very sad to have come to the end of this lovely holiday. We were near to the beaches, which were lovely, Milford on Sea and Avon. Will definitely be returning.
Property in a wonderful location close to shops, pubs and walks. Owner was very polite and helpful and gave great suggestions on what to do. Only small gripe was the property felt a little tired. Perhaps a spruce up is needed. Didn’t detract from my stay though and would recommend and stay again.

Beautiful cottage in fantastic location but.....
The cottage is very pretty in the most fantastic location at the edge of a lovely village with good pubs and restaurants. The best bit was waking up in the morning to see ponies grazing literally opposite the house. We had great walks without even needing to get in the car and no restrictions on dogs at all.
Unfortunately the cottage was not as clean as I would have expected. For example we put the oven on but there was obviously fat in the bottom so the kitchen was filled with smoke. Picking a mug out of the cupboard I felt the base of the cupboard was a bit sticky. Also on both the oven and microwave the symbols had rubbed off so it was guesswork to judge timers etc. I was going to Hoover up our dog hair but the Dyson wasn’t sucking at all.
Those are the negatives, there were nice touches such as a bottle of Prosecco and flowers and the shower was hot and powerful. All in all it was a lovely break though

Brockenhurst
New Forest is an amazing place with horses, cattle & donkeys which roam the towns & adjoining forests.
The cottage we booked was extremely comfortable and within walking distance of the town with lots of little shops, restaurants & pubs. Recommend this as a fantastic family getaway.

Very small but comfortable and was in a lovely setting on the green with horses right outside.
Well equipped, comfortable beds. Bunk beds perfectly adequate for 2 adults. Took the dog and was able to let her out into the garden without worrying about her getting out.

Nice clean cottage
The cottage it self was fine had everything you needed for a nice long weekend.
Very clean and comfortable.
Only negative comment which is not really, if the back garden was cut back we could have sat out on the rare April Saturday afternoon and enjoyed the sunshine.
Would come again and recommend to friends

A well proportioned comfortable cottage in a great location
The cottage was perfect for a family break..it was clean and tidy and well equipped. The location was lovely being just on the edge of the village, so within walking distance of shops and pubs but also the beautiful walks nearby
