Lovely 1 BR/ 2 BA condo in charming Duck, NC. This second-floor condo is perfect for couples or small families. It features a spacious living room w/ sleeper sofa, an updated, well-stocked kitchen and dining area, master bedroom with queen bed, two full baths, and a bunk bed alcove in the hallway.

Enjoy beautiful ocean views from the large deck! Oceanside: our beach access is on the property with no roads to cross. Just a short walk across the lawn and you're at the water.

Free WiFi, flat screen tv w/ cable, books, and games are provided.

Colony by the Sea is an easy 15 minute walk to the Village of Duck with restaurants, shopping, and a beautiful sound-side boardwalk! The community has an oceanfront pool (open seasonally, weather permitting) w/ outside showers, sundecks, a new play area, tennis courts, grills, and picnic tables. It also has a boardwalk/ stairs across the dunes and private community beach access.

Please note this is a second-floor condo in a building with no elevator. You have one reserved parking space directly next to the stairwell. (Additional parking is available in the west lot.)

Great spot for a couple or small family

This condo has everything you need for a relaxed get away to Duck! We had all the comforts of home and the condo was well apportioned with everything we needed. Location is great and easy to get to everything while being oceanfront. Great stay!

Perfect close to the beach get away!

We loved the location - right at the beach with sunrise views off the deck and walking distance to town for shopping and dining or walks on the boardwalk along the sound. Appreciate the good communication of the hosts as well as not getting check in information right before check in time (that makes me nervous when traveling!). Clean with everything we needed for just the two of us.

Anniversary Getaway

Enjoyed this little condo for a quick Anniversary getaway. The beach was wonderful as was the shell collecting. The condo was all we needed. Hate to bring up any negatives but the mattress left a lot to be desired, and the location of the Washer Dryer underneath the complex was not convenient for these old knees. However, duck NC is a great place to just get away and the comfort we did have at his condo was all we needed. thanks for making this available.

Wonderful stay!

We really enjoyed our stay! The condo had everything we needed. Family of 4 (kids ages 7 and 4). Plenty of room to stretch out and the bunk beds worked out very well. We loved having 2 bathrooms! The location is perfect, a very short walk to the beach and quick 15 minutes or so walk to the boardwalk. The pool offered a nice break from the beach when we needed it. The deck was high Adirondack chairs with an amazing view of the water! For a large complex it was pretty quiet. We will be back!

Wonderful family beach day

My wife, kids and I had a wonderful day at this condo. The unit was extremely clean & comfortable and the owners made check in and check out super easy. The location of the condo couldn't have been better and the community has fantastic amenities. The pool was clean, the grounds were well maintained and the beach was not crowded. Will definitely stay in this unit or other units in this community again.

Relaxing getaway

We enjoyed our stay very much. The condo was delightful, clean and kitchen had everything we needed including a list of places to eat and things to do. It was a quiet and relaxing place. Enjoyed the side-view and sounds of the waves from the porch. The condo is about 3-5 min walk from the beach. We enjoyed long beach walks and the boardwalk on the sound-side despite some rainy weather. Great location.

Hidden Gem!

I’ve been coming to Duck for years, but since COVID, prices have been high. This condo has everything you need with nothing that you don’t! Beautiful view with a lovely deck to listen to the waves. Exactly what I needed for a quick getaway!

Great location, could use some updates

The location was great for our family. I think it was 3 flights of stairs you have to go up so keep that in mind. It didn't bother us. As others have mentioned, the condo could use some updates. The furniture in the living room was kind of dirty looking so we put a sheet over the couch. There are also 2 wood chairs that look like they are from an old doctor's office...not really beachy vibe. The porch has a nice view but you can't see anything while sitting in the low plastic chairs. Some high Adirondack chairs with a high table would be great in this space. Then you can enjoy coffee with a view! The pots and pans in the kitchen need replaced. They are very well used. Make sure you bring all cleaning supplies and hand towels for the kitchen! The bed was uncomfortable and when my husband shifted sides I flew all around. The pillows on the bed, to include the throw pillows, need to be replaced. They are stained and old. The cleaners could do a better job as well. Under the couch was all sandy, dusty, and had some items under there. There was also brown smears on the wall in the middle bathroom that were concerning 💩. Besides those issues, we really liked the location. Duck is so cute and is the best OBX town in my opinion.

Colony by the Sea

Overall, this was a good experience. Location is close to the beach and pool, and within walking distance of many things in Duck. There was some construction on the walkways around the unit, but that's outside of the owners control. The unit itself seems to be mid-transition. Some parts are newly updated, but other parts still need some TLC. It seems like it will be very nice once they're done. Little things like books, games, puzzles, quality pots/pans, etc, were nice touches. The bunk beds in the hallway worked surprisingly well for our 6 and 11 year olds. It would be nice if there were more area rugs to help manage the sand that inevitably gets tracked in, and it would be nice if towels and linens were provided. Jay was very easy to deal with throughout the entire process.
