Stayed here for a long weekend when we came in town for the first week of Carnival. Location is within walking distance of St Charles, which was great for parades. Unit was clean and updated. Everything worked as it should. We only needed a place to sleep, so this place worked great.Pros - clean convenient location, cost, communication, ease of check-in/check-outCons - can hear neighbors, but were never loud. Box springs need replaced, they are loud eveytime you move in bed.Would reccomend for anyone just needing a place to lay ypur head while in NOLA.
Property was very clean & suited our needs. About a 5 block walk to the streetcar that took us to the quarter. The owner was quick to respond with any question that we had for him.A second chair in the sitting area would be nice, but overall a great stay for us.
Location was very good! Uptown is where you would want to be as it's a neutral location. The neighborhood was cool as it is being rebuild. The house is good for short stay it just need some adjusting:1. The toilet seat have to measure up with the toilet it literal threw me off.2. Fresh pant would be great in certain areas especially the bathroom.3. A good thorough cleaning would be great especially in the bathroom places you wouldnt think people would look (the ceilings)4. A new shower curtain liner and rod would be great.Other than that our stay was good and the host responded swiftly!
Overall we had a wonderful time, we were relatively close to everything and drove everywhere. Easy on street parking in front of the unit. The property manager was friendly, and helped answer questions as they arose.
We did find it a little lacking for more than one person. Most of the amenities were only enough for one person, which was bit hard to work with for two people. The place still needed some updating: towel rack was in a corner, the toilet seat didn’t fit the toilet, and the kitchen bar stools were very uncomfortable. If you stay here, plan to not spend much time at the place as there isn’t a lot of space to hang out. Also the walls are thin, so you may hear your neighbor next door at odd hours of the evening/night.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay in New Orleans and had a wonderful honeymoon. We recommend a swamp tour, going on the Steamboat Natchez, exploring the French Quarter after a stop at Cafe Du Mont, and checking out the NOLA Art Museum!
It was reasonably priced, with a good location. The property owner was very responsive. . There were a couple of things that needed fixing like a towel rack in the bathroom. The coffee maker did not work, but the owner replaced it that afternoon.
I would rent the property again.
Im from Louisiana and I'm used of nola city however it was my first Essence experience. The property was a great location especially to get the superdome! It was just my husband and myself living earlier was perfect for us being out for the festivities. I don't have any negative things to say. I would just suggest have another mirror in the home. It'll with getting ready & to have an outfit check lol. The host Allen was great he was available when needed & understanding! We will definitely return again on a little getway or event to thos property!
This rental is just as its listed. Its best for a short stay, and perfect for that. No living room, but we weren't there to hang out and watch TV. Everything was spotless, and Allen left a few things for us just in case. Nice to have a washer/dryer, although we didn't use it.
This was our first time to NO, so we had no idea what to expect. Allen responded to many of my text questions almost immediately, he was so helpful, what a nice person!
Once we realized it was only about a 7 block walk to the St. Charles streetcar, we decided to leave our car and walk. Another 7 blocks past that is Magazine St, totally worth the walk, on that side of St. Charles is the Garden District and sooo quiet and beautiful. This rental is in a safe area as well, however, do not walk in the dark or even dusk. Now that we know the lay of the land, it all makes sense. Don't hesitate to stay here, our car was completely fine the entire time we were here, safer parked than trying to drive in the complete chaos of NO.
Thank you Allen for sharing your rental and being there for us!

The house is cute inside and out. Layout works for in and out vacation travel. The neighborhood is in a state of revitalization. Mainly traditional shotgun type housing fitting with the NOLA vibe. Not all the houses on the block have been updated.
This house is perfect for one person or a couple. If you are looking for a New Orleans style stay this is it. Tall ceilings, exposed brick and wood floors add a distinctly New Orleans character to the house. The location is central to everything you may need. Kitchen was well stocked with essential items. Highly recommend!
Host was very nice and answered all my questions. Home is in a great location close to all food and shopping. Highly recommended!

Okay for price
The property manager was very responsive to my texts messages, but could have provided more information about check-in and check-out, and how to operate the tv.
The bottle of wine and fresh flowers were a nice touch.

We attended a wedding at the Contemporary Arts Center and wanted to stay nearby. This location was perfect! Wasn't walking distance to the CAC but like a 5-7 minute ride in a Lyft; However, it was within walking distance of St. Charles Ave, which would allow you to ride the street car to all the other tourist areas. The home reminded of a quaint little cottage. There was a single bedroom with a queen sized bed and tv. There was a complete kitchen although we didn't have occasion to use it. I would definitely use this property again.
We were vwry happy with our stay. The property is modern with a touch of thar New Orleans charm. Great location, close to the quarter and the Superdome. Sp glad we booked here!
Loved staying here! Central to everything you’d want to do in New Orleans! Neighborhood was quiet and parking right outside your front door. Home is gorgeous and true to historic bones of the house. Would definitely stay again!
We had a little hiccup for Friday night due to rental apps calendars not syncing correctly, but Allen did an amazing job making sure we had somewhere to stay. The place is gorgeous. The bed was comfortable, had enough pillows. TV is in the bedroom. No couch in the living area but it did not pose a problem for us because we were never there long enough to watch TV. The water is HOT which is fabulous! Plenty of towels! Felt very safe and the neighborhood is recovering very nicely from Katrina. The house next door is fully renovated as well as one of the 3 houses across the street. The couple of neighbors we had the pleasure of meeting were very nice and friendly. Parking is directly in front of the unit. I do suggest using Uber/Lyft while there due to limited and expensive parking. (Learned the hard way) What we paid in parking for 1 day would have paid for Uber/Lyft the entire trip. We went to a few places that Allen suggested and he did not steer us wrong. Saint John is an AH-MAZING place to eat. Little pricy but well worth it! We found Lil’Dizzy’s on our own. Probably best fried Chicken I’ve had. And Wakin’ Bakin’ had a phenomenal breakfast. This was one of the best mini vacations we’ve had and everything was perfect from where we stayed to where we ate and all the places we went. Have this one saved in my favorites because we will stay here again! Thank you Allen for helping make our trip the BEST! Tell Grams we said hello! 😊
The place was very nice and closer to things than I expected. We didn't feel unsafe and walked to the bus stop just around the corner a few times though it never ran on time so be aware of that (not Allen's fault, just wanted to note it). We even walked the half mile or so down to St. Charles Street for the street car. Be aware that if you drive in that NOLA doesn't take the best care of their roads and there is a huge divot in the street a few houses down. Also once you get the address you might be alarmed by the boarded up house next to it on Street View be rest assured that's been renovated and looks as beautiful as this property.
Allen was do fairly responsive via text during our stay and fixed an important issue immediately. I do wish he'd buy better toilet paper. I'm taking off a star because there was knocking from the next door unit's AC that was mentioned in an earlier review. He turned it off after I called but if you know it's an issue for guests, you should either fix it or already have it turned off.
All in all, if you're staying for a short while, this isn't a bad choice e. The price was right, the location was nice, and we had a great time.
Just a half mile walk down Louisiana Ave to St Charles to see all the Mardi Gras parades. So no need to drive and hope to find parking. Place was simple and clean.
