If you're in search of the perfect family getaway, your search ends here at Deer Lakehouse. This brand-new cottage, completed in 2022, boasts over 2,500 square feet of living space, four bedrooms, and comfortable accommodations for up to 10 people. Deer Lakehouse offers an array of features that make it an ideal choice for your next retreat.
Nestled on the shores of Deer Lake, also known as Nulty Lake, this peaceful sanctuary offers a unique experience. Unlike larger lakes, Deer Lake does not have a public boat launch, resulting in minimal boating activity and fewer motorized boats, creating the perfect environment for swimming, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing throughout the day.
One of the standout features of Deer Lakehouse is its breathtaking sunset view. Facing westward, the cottage allows you to bask in the full glory of the sun as it sets over the horizon, casting a mesmerizing golden hue across the lake.
Privacy is a hallmark of this retreat. Situated on a sprawling 13.5-acre property with 450 feet of waterfrontage, Deer Lakehouse offers complete seclusion, free from the sights and sounds of neighboring properties. Located approximately 15 minutes from Highway 11, there is no noise pollution from highway traffic, ensuring peace and tranquility. You may even have the pleasure of encountering deer during your stay, especially during the winter months when they frequently visit the cottage.
The clear waters of Deer Lake beckon for a refreshing swim. The convenience of a private dock allows you to jump right in and enjoy the invigorating lake.
Deer Lakehouse offers year-round accessibility via road. During the summer, you can reach the cottage via Deer Lake Road (Exit 248 on Hwy 11), while winter visitors can access it via Three Mile Lake Road (the next Exit on Hwy 11 farther north). The cottage also offers internet and Wi-Fi services provided by Xplore Net, allowing you to stay connected when needed.
Conveniently located just a two-hour drive north of Toronto, Deer Lakehouse provides a scenic journey through the Muskoka District. Along the way, you can make a pit stop in Gravenhurst and explore the beautiful attractions along the waterfront of Lake Muskoka.
Please note that the garage is not included in the rental, as the owners use it to store their personal items. However, ample parking space for four vehicles is available in front of the cottage. 4-WD vehicles can drive directly down to the parking lot, while a smaller parking area at the top of the hill is ideal for cars and two-wheel drive vehicles, especially in case of rain.
For those seeking nearby attractions, there are several worth exploring. Brook’s Falls, a picturesque waterfall, is just a few minutes from the cottage, offering a delightful natural retreat. The Village of Burks Falls, a short 20-minute drive away, provides access to amenities such as a gas station, supermarket, restaurants, and more. The town of Gravenhurst, located an hour away, is the gateway to Muskoka and offers a wide range of activities and attractions, including the Muskoka Wharf with a boardwalk trail along Lake Muskoka, boat cruises, shops, and dining options. Just 20 minutes to the south is Huntsville, well-known in Ontario cottage lore for it's quaint shops, dining and amenities.
