Hotel located very close to ximendi where u can find food n shopping. The room we are staying was facing the street and was very noisy from the traffic noise. Can be better with good sound window.insulation

We were surprised with the old and unfurnished hotel lobby, lift lobby and lift that came with a brightly lit furnished room. The hotel does provide an iron upon request but with no ironing board. We were busy rushing out and only came back during the wee hours to noticed that the splash shower was under pressure and cant take a proper shower. We have to stand so near to the wall mounted pipeline and risked scalded in order to get wet. Worse.... the toilet bowl was choked after we poop the next day morning. We apologized and requested the hotel to get the toilet bowl unclogged and went out. To our another surprise when we came back at night. The whole room was stanched with poop odour and the toilet flooring was not properly cleaned. We reckon the room maid or maintenance staff got fed up having to clear our disgusting poop.... we have to clean up the entire toilet before we use it. Besides... 1. Soap and shampoo was not replenished during our 3 nights stay. 2. We have to ask to replenish toilet rolls after we came back to a made up room. 3. Bed sheet was not change and pillow cases were yellow and irk of funny odour. 4. Room flooring was not vacuum properly or rather forgot to... All of the above resulted from our choked poop? The hotel night male staff were helpful though to assist us with anything. Replenishment of shampoo, toilet rolls, TV with automatic mute .... etc. Terrible experience

Close to Xi Men Ding

My 2nd stay, close to Xi Men Ding street, quiet at night. Reasonable price although I saw many new hotels springing up nearby and im unsure of their pricing. Decent expectations from all aspects. Oh ya, they provide free water and coffee without buying the breakfast option. Get to sit around while waiting to meet friends, check in and out, enjoy your breakfast there too.

Room and bed was bigger than average hotel in ximending area. The water pressure of the shower head was good. The temperature of the water is generally stable. Many food and shopping places within a short walk.

Nice Hotel to Stay

This is my second time staying at Wonstar Ximen Hotel. Their service level has improved much since my last stay 6 months ago. Enjoyed interacting with the staff and usage of the facilities. Glad that now they provide cold milk tea and red tea, along with their coffee dispenser.

Keep guests informed.....review your procedures..

Stayed one night. Initially felt hotel service ok. Till the next morning, hotel had water disruption and we were shocked & upset... no water..unable to brush teeth and shower in the morning. Female reception staff said a PA was made in rooms half hour before water disruption. Told her we did not hear in the room and she still insisted it was announced. Checked with other family members in another room on same floor. They too did not hear the announcement. She asked we go to their sister hotel round the corner for shower!! We are staying for one night only and rushing for booked tour in the morning. She said this was planned a month ago and notices pasted at lift lobby.....HELLO ... We only checked in the night before and she expects us to read ALL notices placed in the hotel!!!! Also the staff who checked us in DID NOT advise us of the water disruption to be happening the next day !!! Additionally NO notices were placed in the rooms. Frustrated when we have limited time in Taipei and rushing for our tour. Instead of offering, we have to ask for bottled water to brush our teeth. Upon checking out, hotel manager was apologetic which we appreciate. Location - good.

Nice Hotel for Short Stay Near Xi Men Ding

Hotel was well-located within Ximending. The staff were helpful and spontaneous. Rooms were well-prepared. We stayed in 2 rooms - 1 was larger than the other. However overall was a pleasant stay at Wonstar Hotel.

The goto hotel for it's strategic location

This is a 3-star hotel, love the location. It is located at the center of XiMenDing, the most happening place in Taipei, with many youngsters and tourists around. There are many shopping malls, retail stores, cinema and food. An extremely convenient and lively area. The hotel provide free breakfast, but the food was a disappointed spread. The 24-hour coffee brew machine is a great plus point for caffeine addict like myself. The hotel has all the basic amenities, to serve your practical needs.
