Consell De Cent is a comfortable 4-bedroom apartment located just a few blocks from the iconic Sagrada Familia and plaza Tetuán.

The apartment can accommodate up to 8 guests, with a living area that features a relaxing sofa and a flat screen TV, dining area, and fully-equipped kitchen with all the appliances. There is an amazing terrace-patio ideal to enjoy on summer days in Barcelona!

The apartment is 3 minutes from Metro Monumental (Purple Line L2).

The Space:
Welcome to this 147 m2 spacious and bright flat located next to La Monumental, the last bullring in the city of Barcelona. Natural light flows through the living area, making it bright and airy. Surrounded by large windows, the room has a large, comfy sofa, and flat-screen TV, so you can make yourself at home.

The open-plan space includes a dining table, so you can enjoy a meal with family or friends. You’ll find everything you need to prepare a meal in the well-equipped kitchen. All the appliances are modern and easy to use and we also have a space heater in the apartment.

⚠️ VERY IMPORTANT Please note the apartment is located in a residential building, where neighbors live here all year around and it is our obligation to respect their rest. Walls are very thin and other residents of the building very sensitive to noises. Please make sure before confirming your reservation you can adhere to the simple House Rules that are detailed below. Failure to accept and follow those will result on a monetary sanction and eviction from the property with no refund for the remaining nights.

The Neighborhood:
This apartment is conveniently placed near Diagonal avenue and not far from the city centre. Diagonal was originally projected by engineer and urban planner Ildefons Cerdà as one of the city's wide avenues, which along with Avinguda Meridiana would cut the grid he designed for l'Eixample. Both would meet at Plaça de les Glòries Catalanes, which Cerdà envisioned as the new city centre. However, Plaça Catalunya, equally a new addition to the city of Barcelona, and connecting Ciutat Vella and Eixample, and therefore occupying a more privileged position in the urban area, would finally become the centre.

The apartment is located in Fort Pienc neighborhood. Fort Pienc is a neighborhood in the Eixample district of Barcelona. Its name stems from a former military fortification which existed there until the 19th century called Fort Pius, Pienc is an adjective in Catalan meaning related to the name Pius. There has been a strong Chinese presence in the area since the 2000s. The Arc de Triomfis the main attraction in the area, located in Passeig de Lluís Companys-Passeig de Sant Joan, while L’Auditori is an important concert hall.

Getting Around:
The closest metro station is Monumental (Line 2).
The quickest way to go to the airport would be taking the train towards "Aeroport" at Passeig de Gracia. There are trains every 20min and it costs around 5€.

Other Things to Note:
*** TOURIST TAX & REGISTRATION PROCESS ***

- Since 2012 the Catalan administration requires that every guest staying in a hotel room or renting an apartment in Catalunya contributes with a small fee of 2.25€ + VAT per person over 17 years old and per night up to a maximum of 7 nights. Also, from 2022 Barcelona City Council applies 3.25€ + VAT to the tourist tax as a city tax fee, also per person over 17 years old and per night up to a maximum of 7 nights.

- This cost of 6.65€ per person over 17 years old and per night up to a maximum of 7 nights IS NOT included on your reservation.

- National and International police demand that each guest, prior to their visit to Barcelona, would send information of their IDs or passports. This is mandatory, as it is stated in Catalan Law, and all legal touristic establishments are required to do so.

- This apartment uses a self-checkin system via the Chekin platform that will allow you to register all guests on the reservation and pay the mandatory tourist taxes before your arrival.

Check-in time is at 17:00 hrs
Check-out is at 11:00 am (non-agreed late check-outs will incur on a 100€ charge per hour late)

*** HOUSE RULES ***

1. Parties, drugs, loud noise or any kind of disturbance towards the neighbors are completely forbidden, with a penalty of 400€ and possible eviction
2. Please observe quiet time between 10pm - 9am.
3. Respect your neighbors and be respectful in common areas (hallways, entrance, elevator, stairs).
4. Loss of keys will have a 100€ charge per key lost.
5. Smoking on interior areas will have a charge of 100€ + all cleaning fees involved.
6. Guests take full responsibility for any accidents, injuries or illnesses that occur while on the premises or its facilities.
7. Please leave the apartment in a respectable condition.

Not following those rules will incur on a monetary sanction and the full responsibility of any fines from the local administration or authorities.

No frills yet comfortable apartment in fantastic location. Walk or rent bikes to some of Barcelona’s premiere sites. Convenient coffee shop/bakery next door and great grocery store just up the street. Host responded quickly to assist with check-in and other issues as they arose.

We had a great stay at this property. There were 8 of us, and we were all comfortable. We arrived earlier than expected and the property manager was responsive and let us leave our bags at our condo while it was still being cleaned. Great location, easy to walk around and explore the neighborhood. Would definitely recommend this place!

Great location

Was a great stay and the location being just a few blocks from the sagrada familia was unbeatable for the price. There were a few things that were small that didn’t work like the lights in one of the bedrooms but other than that the stay was good and I’m sure they have fixed the lights by now. Great stay. Would stay again. Great communication and fast replies.

Great Apartment with Funky Virtual Keys

Loved most everything about the apartment, but the virtual keys took some getting used to. Not very fun trying to get the learning curve down when it’s late with an infant.

Great location but probably wouldn’t return or refer a friend

The property needs some updates and the pictures don’t represent the apartment..the walls are dirty, planks are missing from the floor and there is black mold in the bathrooms. The extra bath faucet head did not work and the curtains have holes and are ripped. You get one towel per person for the length of your stay and no hand towels outside of the kitchen. We had to purchase additional supplies for the apartment like toilet paper and paper towels. Make sure you read the amenities thoroughly as I missed that this apartment does nothave AC…. I missed it and the apartment was very warm even in early October. On the plus side, the location is fantastic and close to all the sites and there is a bakery just downstairs as well as a supermarket just around the corner. If this apartment was updated and appeared as nice as the photos suggest this would definitely be a place we would consider but knowing what we know now, I would not rebook or recommend for a friend. Full disclaimer .. I did provide this information directly to the property team and will admit we had a noise complaint the night prior to check out (we had all the windows opened due to no AC and were enjoying a few cocktails later in to the evening).

Conclusion of a long weekend

The location and the apartment are very good. There are several large and small supermarkets in the immediate vicinity and the transport connections are excellent. An electronic lock system eliminates the need to worry about keys in times when everyone has a cell phone. The only thing that always needs to be taken into account is the battery level of the cell phone. Overall, it was a great long weekend with friends, in a very welcoming, well-equipped and well-maintained apartment. There are only two points that could be made, but this should not necessarily be taken as criticism! 1. Sleeping blankets: The double beds had (as is often the case) a single very large blanket. Here it would probably be more practical to consider 2 independent blankets (one for each person). 2. Noise pollution: Since the apartment is in a residential building, the noise level understandably plays a major role for the residents, which must be taken into account as a group. The apartment is designed for 7 people (which also corresponded to the number of our group), which unfortunately resulted in a level of noise later in the day when sitting together in the cozy living room that the roommates found annoying. As a group, you should always remember to keep all windows and doors in the apartment closed and to conduct conversations in a very dignified manner.

Es un problema para entrar al apartamento pues hay que hacer un registro de turista y pagar más , luego que te abren dos puertas hay que bajar una aplicación la cual se desconecta cuando no tienes internet y debes esperar hasta lograrlo , es muy bueno el sistema moderno automático pero no funciona con la mejor calidad, empecé a ducharme y ya no hubo agua caliente por problemas con el calentador que hasta pasado una hora que se solucionó también en el primer baño no descargaba pues el tanque no se llenaba de agua y por último las cortinas de las puertas del pequeño balcón sucias y rotas

Die Wohnung ist sauber, gut gelegen und für eine Gruppe bis zu 7 Personen gut geeignet. Die Dachterrasse haben wir oft genutzt, sie ist aber, wie das 3. Doppelzimmer, nur über eine steile Treppe zu erreichen. Verschiedene Mängel wurden nach einer kurzen Mitteilung an die Agentur erfreulich schnell behoben. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt!

Tout était conforme à l'annonce. L'appartement était très propre et la terrasse sur le toit très agréable et ensoleillée toute la journée. Quartier très calme le soir, aucune nuisance notable. Les chambres sont spacieuses et la literie de qualité. Le système de clef digitale est moderne, mais sans batterie sur votre smartphone, vous êtes à la rue !! il manque peut etre 1 ou 2 équipements (bouilloire, machine à café...) pour que ça soit parfait. Merci
