Beautiful oasis

Beautiful home in the mountains of Rincon. 15 min drive to Rincon beaches. Lots of essentials provided and responsive property manager. Enjoyed waking up to neighborhood roosters and goats.

PR Mansion

Overall a very nice place to stay. The house and property are beautiful. The three bedrooms each had air conditioning though the master bedroom leaked a fair amount of water/condensation, requiring mopping. The house is in the mountains which has a beautiful view. With that comes a bit of a drive to the beach. Overall great place.

Breathtaking property & view

Our family had a fabulous stay at this spectacular property. The host was extremely attentive, gracious & hospitable. The views are breathtaking & the rooftop terrace was an amazing bonus! We enjoyed our morning coffee on the rooftop with incredible views of the ocean & the mountains. There was more than adequate room for our family of 6 to have plenty of space to stretch out & relax. The a/c units in the bedrooms were fabulous as we slept. Other than the master shower not having hot water, we enjoyed every aspect of our stay. Would highly recommend this property to others.

Unaddressed issues

We (4 adults, 3 children) stayed at this property for 2 nights. We arrived in the early evening after a rainstorm. Upon arrival, the carport/entry balcony was flooded, and this had seeped under the door into the house. We learned there had been a power outage from the storm. It was dusk already so lighting was poor. So unloading the cars and moving luggage, a baby, and 2 children into the house were a bit challenging. The House has a reverse floor plan, so the main kitchen and common area are on the top floor (1 flight up from the main door entry). There were 4 fall incidents on the tile (baby twice, other child and an adult) that occurred soon after arrival because there were pools of water in the upper kitchen, dining, and also the top floor hall bath was completely flooded. After waiting about 3 hours the co-host was able to get a cleaning crew to the house to mop up the water and restore some normalcy. However, the hall bath flooding seemed to be a source other than rain and we discovered the window had been closed and too high up to cause the level of water in there. Also, that shower did not work in the morning. This issue was not addressed by the hosts. We also found a long time dried up dead lizard on the sofa behind a pillow. Further, the 2nd floor bedroom A/C had shorted during the power outage and after working on the breakers via texts with the cohost, it did not work for both nights. No one came to fix it. The stay would have been more pleasant without issues.

Great experience

The pictures don’t do this place justice! Way more beautiful than we expected. Our host was available and welcoming to us and help us with anything we needed. Would deff stay here again in the near future!

Amazing architecture with tons of room in a quite family neighborhood set in the hills of Rincon

We spent a absolutely amazing month in this spectacular, stately appointed mansion! AJ arranged for Manny to pick us up at the local airport (MAZ), take us to our rental Jeep then guided us back to the house pointing out local places along the way. A great and strongly recommended way to start vacation to get a feel for the area from a local. The houses renovations have come along incredibly well post Maria, a brand new paint job, solar powered water heater, and powerful split air conditioning in all of the bedrooms blend seamlessly with the open air living that takes advantage of the cool breezes and lower temps up in the mountains. The view from the 2nd and 3rd floor is breathtaking that we enjoyed incredibly over morning coffee off the kitchen or cocktails in the evening on the amazing rooftop living area! Usually followed by a game of pool/ping pong or a streamed 4K UHD movie through the lightning fast whole house WiFi system on a huge brand new flatscreen w/ surround sound in what we called the movie/bar room. We watched the superbowl on it! There is also a formal living and dining room w/ beautiful marble table and ornate furniture. The huge kitchen, with brand new stainless dishwasher and gas stove was wonderful to cook in and had tons of storage space. 3 full bathrooms, and a huge tub in the master were great, excellent water pressure! The massive master bedroom had a ornate very comfortable king bed set with high thread count sheets, huge walk in closet and a lg safe, not that it is needed with the new high tech video security system. We never felt the need to arm, very safe neighborhood/area. House was kept magically sparkly clean by Zireida a very sweet local woman! The insect management is dialed in perfect as we has 0! The beautiful manicured landscaping was stealthily kept up by Manny, loved the flowers! Location was perfect surf beaches to the north, snorkeling to the south. Rincon main beach, farmers market, art walk night are all must do’s right in town with shopping availability of anything you could want and Walmart & Sams Club 20 short min away for stock ups. Hit the roadside fruit stands for “ripe picked” local fruit, best pineapple grown on island of my life way better then Hawaii! Local waterfall practically in the neighborhood is beautiful but not for swimming, you can drive right to it with 4x4 no walk. This was our best HomeAway experience by far at a incredible house that dollar per sq ft represents a stupendous value!

The property has incredible potential to become a 5 star stay. It needs significant improvements.

It was perfect location for us as we have family in Jaguey and Barrio Rincon. Once the house is renovated, it will be a wonderful vacation home.

Have to see it to believe it

I stayed here with 3 other friends. The house was more than what we expected. AJ was very informative about things to do in the area. And we loved visiting with his dog Rocky. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for welcoming us into your home.
