Cortijo Cabrilla es una antigua casa de labranza emplazada en el interior de una finca de olivos y algarrobos centenarios y árboles frutales (naranjos, melocotón, almendros...).

La casa ha sido reformada por completo, respetando la construcción original y su estructura, anchas paredes de piedra, algunos techos de caña y vigas vistas de madera. A la entrada hay un amplio porche desde el que se disfrutan de unas estupendas vistas al valle a la sierra y a pueblos de los montes de Málaga
La casa se distribuye en dos plantas. En la inferior se sitúan la cocina de estilo rústico completamente equipada con lavavajillas, microondas, horno eléctrico, placa de inducción...; un comedor con chimenea y horno incorporado ( para pizzas y patatas asadas) y televisión, sala de estar con televisión, tres dormitorios, un baño y un estudio independiente ( con cuarto de baño, cocina y chimenea). En la planta superior hay cuatro dormitorios y dos cuartos de baño franceses (separada la zona de baño, con ducha, de la del WC), además de una gran zona diáfana a modo de sala de estar o de sala de juegos.

En el exterior, dispone de un antiguo horno de cocer pan (utilizable), barbacoa, zona ajardinada, zona de juego para niños, amplias terrazas, porche y una amplia zona de recreo con piscina, jacuzzi, césped y tumbonas.

Fantastic hidden gem

This is one of the best villas we have ever stayed in. We were a 4 generation family group, and it worked perfectly for us, with shady areas under the vines and pergola, a play area and a secure pool, made better with the use of artificial grass round the pool. The villa.is very.well equipped with just about everything you need for a relaxing holiday and very spacious bedrooms with the added advantage of air conditioning in most bedrooms, the villa also has a disability friendly bathroom. The layout of the villa means that it would.work for family groups or for two or three families. The only thing I would say is when you are driving there Google.Cortilo cortigo and take the directions from their website. But I'd highly recommend this villa and we are looking at booking again next year.

Villa très agréable

Villa spacieuse, propre. Superbe vue sur les montagnes. Végétation magnifique. Jacuzzi un peu abîmé. Et cuisine un peu trop petite pour 14personnes. Je recommande. Nous avons passé de super vacances.

Fantastic stay at beautiful location

We we're staying for a week with family and relatives at Gloria's villa and had a wonderful time. The views and the pool being the main highlights. Lots of beds inside and seating outside. Kitchen a bit small for such a big house and some applicances (e.g. toaster and coffee machine) could use updating, but it worked ok. Superb fridge outside for storing and cooling beverages. Gloria's brother was easy to get hold of and very helpful. The village of Mondron within a quarter walking distance with two restaurants and a small shop. In short we were very happy with our stay.

Hemos ido 13 amigos y la estancia ha sido bastante agradable. Lo mejor de la casa sin duda alguna es la piscina y la zona del exterior. Sin embargo la cocina se antoja un poco pequeña para tantas personas.

Family in Spain

The farmhouse was everything I had envisaged and hope for. It was very clean and extremely suitable for our big family, we have 10 adults and 4 children. The area is just outstandingly beautiful and although some distance from the nearest suitable supermarket once we found our way around it wasn’t a big issue. The pool and terracing was fantastic and we all especially the children enjoyed the facilities. The house is in a remote area and the first time you drive the A7204 and the road from Mondrian is an experience, but over the 2 weeks we all fell in love with shear beauty around us and the small inconvenience didn’t matter. We did n’t Meet the owner Gloria; however her brother who did greet us couldn’t have been more helpful, a real gentleman. Many thanks for a great holiday and I do believe we will be back sometime

Two week family stay exceeded expectations

I was looking for two weeks accommodation in July for our family of eleven, including three children. After picking up our two cars at the Malaga Airport, our GPS navigator told us it would be a 50 minute drive. However we both had difficulty finding the villa and arrived a couple of hours later than expected. I would recommend you go into Mondron the first time. There are signs clearly marking the route to the villa. The sign on the main road is hidden when you drive up from Malaga. Fortunately, Manriques, Gloria’s brother was patiently waiting for us when we arrived to give us the keys, and show us around. He spoke only Spanish, but used Google’s translate app so we had no difficulty with any questions we had. The villa exceeded our expectations. It has been completely rewired with top-of-the line kitchen stove and oven and air conditioning. There is a wine and beer cooler on the terrace which was handy. The wifi was consistently available throughout the house. Although the web site said there are no bathrooms, there actually was one downstairs and three upstairs plus another one outside. All had the new two flush toilet conservation systems. The terrace has been extended to a covered area with a 10 person table where we ate all our meals. The terrace is fitted with transparent wind protection that could be rolled down on the couple of days it was windy. The pool kept the kids entertained and was enjoyed by the adults with temperatures in the low 30’s. It’s well thought out with a fresh water feed and a splash overflow out the other end. My wife said there was a system to heat the water entering the pool so was refreshing but not too cold to use. Can’t say enough about the villa. We all enjoyed it and highly recommend it. Great place to stay!

I celebrated my birthday with around 20 friends and family at this beautiful finca and I would recommend it without constraints. The finca is huge (even bigger than it looks on the pictures), everything is in a good state and clean, the communication prior and during the stay was really easy and fast (thanks to WhatsApp) and the surrounding lanscape is impressive. It was actually really easy to find the finca as there were signs starting from the connecting road between Mondron and Periana to the finca. Thanks so much for the great stay!

En fantastisk bolig med en fremragende beliggenhed.

Vi fejrede vores guldbryllup sammen med vore børn, svigerbørn og børnebørn. Vi var 16 personer i alderen 2-72 år. Vi nød det skønne hus og der manglede ikke plads hverken inde eller ude. Vi nød det store spisebord under vinrankerne, hvor alle måltider blev indtaget, samt det dejlig udekøkken, hvor intet manglede. Ikke mindst poolen gjorde stor lykke hos både voksne og børn og en aften blev der også holdt poolparty med discolys og musik. Vi nød den pragtfulde udsigt og stilheden. Daglig rengøring af poolen og bagerbilen der kom forbi hver dag, samt friske ferskner som blev leveret flere gange, var en dejlig del af ferien. Alt i alt 14 fantastiske dage, som vi aldrig glemmer. A wonderful, easy place to relax and enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.

We came for a wedding and left having fallen in love with Mondrón and the surrounding countryside. The villa has a rustic charm and was spacious, clean and perfect for a group of family and friends to relax round the table on the terrace or down by the pool. The view from the terrace is stunning set in olive groves and fruit trees. Gloria and her husband are perfect hosts. I would definitely recommend Corjito Cabrilla.

We can't wait to return....

My family and I have just returned from a ten night break at Corjito Cabrilla which I hired for my birthday. When we arrived we were greeted by Gloria then shown around the wonderful house which you could see Gloria is very proud. The propriety is set in a rural location at the end of a farm track, so hiring a car is essential. The gardens around the house are beautiful not only flowers but also olive trees, fruit trees, herb garden and more grapes than you could possibly consume. The house had more than enough space for the ten adults and six children in my party. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need, allow it did take us a day to find the knife draw. The eight bedrooms were very spacious and clean with lots of towels and storage space. We spent most our time laying around the beautiful pool. I can honestly say it is one of the nicest private pools I have used, it was the perfect lenght and depth for us all. The pool area is a real sun trap all day and the views are amazing. We all had great fun making pizzas from scratch one evening. Then getting to cook them in a real pizza oven was a great experience. (Remember the oven takes about 3 hours to heat up). Having the pizza oven, large bbq and fresh bread delivered every day, we didn't eat out once which is very unlike us. We did walk into Mondron most afternoons for a drink in the local pub which is very affordable and to top up on supplies from the village shop which sold everything you could possibly need. The staff in the bar and shop speak very little English but are very welcoming and friendly. The only negative about this holiday was finding the house for the first time. Both Tom Tom and garmin satellite navigations didn't take us to the house, we end up using google maps which worked much better. For any future visitors I would recommend going into Mondron village because the house is really well signposted from the village and don't worry about driving on a bumpy farm track because Corjito Cabrilla is at the end of the track.

The beautiful Corjito Cabrilla

We have just returned home from a 2 week stay at the beautiful Corjito Cabrilla. Our party of 9 adults and 1 child were all very tired when we arrived at midnight but right away we could see just how truly stunning the house was. The gardens were beautifully landscaped and the terrace and outside areas clean and tidy. It was so quiet which we was exactly what we needed. Inside the house was bright and airy and very clean and tidy. What struck me especially was the size of the house. It can easily accommodate 18 people without feeling cramped. We were up at first light to see the pool which was gorgeous. My 3 year old son spent every possible minute in it! There is also a grassed area with ample sun loungers for everyone. We did have a small issue with the hot tub as we couldn't get the water to heat but it was still a very welcome relief to cool down in the jacuzzi jets on a hot day. The facilities for cooking and cleaning were great, we couldn't have asked for more. It was a bit further from the airport than we would have liked, however, that is the price you pay for the stunning scenery and peaceful way of life. The local town of Mondron is very pretty and there was a small shop which actually sold most things! Along with a local pub and the owners were very friendly. We used the supermarket at Riogordo which is about 10 minutes away and that had every we required. There were some lovely walks in the area but mostly we had to drive to sight see. We took a trip to Gibralter for some wonderful shopping and a tour of the rock - watch out for the monkeys!? We also visited El Charco which was the best rated steak in the area. The beautiful Lake Vinuela makes a gorgeous back drop and the steak truly was 10/10. We also visited Comares which you can see in the distance from the corjito, perched right at the top of a mountain! I cannot recommend seeing it enough! The little white-washed town is truly magnificent and the moorish tiles on the ground showing the route to take through the town were charming. We had a nice meal in Table Mountain which is in the next town 2 or 3 minutes away. The owner was very friendly and gave out plenty of advice about the area. If I was to be very picky I say that only thing lacking was some comfortable outside sofas for relaxing in at night time. There are however plenty of chairs around the table. All in all everyone of us had a wonderful stay. I would definitely go back! Jacqui Donachie

Erholung pur

Vielen Dank für 12 Tage Erholung in diesem wirklich schönen, gut gepflegten, praktisch eingerichteten Haus in ruhiger Lage mit dem ansprechend angelegten Garten und dem tollen Pool. Weiter Blick in die Ferne, keine direkten Nachbarn. Perfekte Zimmeraufteilung für 3 Familien (6 Erwachsene, 8 Kinder zwischen 5 und 18 Jahren): 6 Schlafzimmer, 3 Badezimmer, das seperate Studio haben wir nicht genutzt; sogar einen Basketballkorb, eine Wippe und eine Schaukel gibt es hinter dem Haus. Sehr dankbar waren wir für die Beschilderung "Cortijo Cabrilla" ab Mondron zum Haus- ohne diese hätten wir fast aufgegeben! Kommunikation dank google-Translater und mit Händen und Füßen: jeden Morgen kam der Bäcker hupend vorgefahren und lieferte Köstlichkeiten, die Vermieter waren jederzeit ansprechbar (whatsApp sei Dank) und der Nachbar brachte eigenhändig geerntete köstliche Auberginen- danke!! Sehr nett auch die Bar mit Restaurant in Mondron; Einkaufen in Periana (Achtung siesta!), LIDL, ALDI, etc in Velez Malaga; Empfehlenswerte Ausflüge: direkt vom Haus startend eine Rundwanderung auf der "Ruta de los rios y las aldeas" (ausgeschildert), Alfarnate, Naturpark "El Torcal", Antequera, die Stauseen westlich von Antequera ("Embalse de Guadalhorce") mit Wanderung zur Schlucht "El Churro", Malaga downtown, die Strände rund um Nerja; Begeisterung über Granatäpfel, Mandarinen, Feigen direkt vom Baum, Wiedehopf, Geier, Samtkopfgrasmücke, Schildkröten uvm. gab es zu entdecken und herzallerliebst die 4 Katzenbabies in ihrem Versteck :-D Sehr zu empfehlen!

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Esta propiedad perteneció a nuestros abuelos, es por lo que hemos decidido,con un gran esfuerzo económico, restaurarla intentando conservar su estancias y ponerla en alquiler para no tenerla que vender.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Cortijo Cabrilla una casa de labranza recién reformada en pleno corazón de la Axarquía (Málaga) con casi un siglo de antigüedad, donde persisten sus vieja estancias, techos de vigas y caña, muebles autóctonos, horno de leña… que se combinan con televisores de plasma, cocina moderna, piscina y demás comodidades actuales.
Se encuentra muy bien comunicado a tan sólo 45 kms de Málaga capital, a 50 kms del aeropuerto y a 25 kms de la playa más cercana (Torredelmar). El enclave es expectacular, en la aldea de Vilo pero aislada del mundanal ruido. La piscina y el yacuzzi tienen vistas al valle y a la serranía. Puedes aprender costumbres artesanales como la fabricación del pan y queso, el cuidado del ganado y las abejas, el modo de vida rural, etc…
Así mismo, este entorno ofrece muchas actividades al visitante como múltiples rutas de senderismo, tratamientos con aguas sulfuradas en los baños árabes de baños de Vilo, visitas turísticas a aldeas perdidas en pleno monte donde descubriréis bellos rincones donde el tiempo se ha detenido, paseos a caballo, piragüismo en el pantano de la Viñuela, escalada…
