Esta casa, moderna y espaciosa, está ubicada en el límite del pueblo de Estrella de Mar tan solo 3 minutos a pie a la playa. Hay 5 restaurantes / bares, todos dentro de 5 minutos a pie.

La casa es muy buen arreglado y cuenta con una bonita terraza con muchas plantas, muebles de patio y tumbonas. La terraza es un espacio cerrado y por eso es seguro para niños. También la casa tiene un balcón con mesa y sillas y una vista al Mar Menor y el campo.

La propiedad tiene tres dormitorios - nos gusta atraer grupos pequeños y parejas. Hay dos cuartos de baño, uno en la primera planta y el otro en la planta baja.

Los dueños viven a solo 10 minutos de la casa y por lo tanto puedes contactar con ellos para preguntar por cualquier aspecto o duda que tengas.

Estrella de Mar

Estrella de Mar está ubicada en la parte más rural de la zona del Mar Menor. Tiene parques y jardines, calles anchas y arquitectura típica española. Ningún edifico tiene más de 3 plantas. Se puede dar un buen paseo por el paseo marítimo con palmeras y vistas hacia La Manga.

El club de la playa tiene una piscina grande, 2 pistas de tenis, mini golf, tenis de mesa, zona de juegos infantiles y una zona para fútbol y baloncesto. Se puede usar el complejo gratis salvo el tenis por el cual cobran una pequeña cuota.
La piscina está situada a 5 minutos de la casa a pie, hay que entrar con un llave electronica que esta guardada en la casa. Está al lado del paseo marítimo y el cafetería de la playa.

La comunidad vecina de Los Urrutias está a 3 minutos de pie desde Estrella de Mar y cuenta con un supermercado, ferretería, tienda de prensa, bares, restaurantes y un mercadillo semanal en verano.

Great Location to Chill Out

We had a really nice 'chill out' week and were sorry to leave. The villa is lovely, beautifully furnished, and the most comfortable bed we've ever had in Spain. The transport to and from the airport made it so easy. It was great having everything within easy walking distance- supermarket, beach and the restaurants. The menu del dias were excellent and the restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful.

Two weeks in May

Property exactly as advertised, clean, well equipped and the owners Julian and Lesley were very helpful. We have absolutely no complaints regarding the property, just in retrospect, we found the area, perhaps a little too quiet for our tastes. However, if you want a peaceful holiday with the use of a decent pool and some good eating places, this would be ideal.

Fantastic Home

Booking was very easy due to the owners prompt and thorough responses. Check in went smoothly. We found the home and all furnishings to be in excellent order. I would recommend this property to families and individuals. The kitchen was well stocked with crockery, utensils, pans etc. on street parking was very easy with no struggles to find space directly outside. The only downsides (which are out of control of the home owners) is that the pool is a couple of minutes away across a main road, no loungers at the pool just communal benches and that this section of Mar Menor is not suitable for swimming.

Logement agréable

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans cette jolie petite maison. Très bien aménagée avec tout le confort nécessaire ( a part un lave vaisselle ). Jolie cours avec des azulejos. La propriétaire à été présente et à l'écoute de nos besoins. Dommage pour le chien du voisin qui jappe assez souvent, même la nuit. La mer mineure n'est plus très attractive à cause des algues et on ne peut guère s'y baigner. Il y a de très belles plages à quelques kilomètres ( Calblanque, cala del pino, Cabo de Palos, etc... ).

Schoon, van alle gemakken voorzien maar in een dorp waar weinig te doen is en niemand Engels spreekt. Alleen bejaarden gezien; zwembad waardeloos en strand nog erger. Eigenaars zeer sympathiek… niet voor jonge mensen! Zonder auto zou het geen leuke vakantie zijn geweest.

VACACIONES TRANQUILAS

El alojamiento es perfecto nada que decir, con practicamente todo lo necesario para el dia a dia. Perfecta ubicación y comunicación, cercania a la playa y piscina. El unico incoveniente es el estado de las playa que no permite un baño tradicional desde la arena por el estado de las mismas por barro y algas, pero han establecido unas plataformas que te introducen en el mar y ha quedado muy bien y salva el problema, pero insisto lo que es playa tradicional aqui no la hay, tendrás que moverte a otras playas cercanas pero que tampoco estan lejos.

The property was excellent and very clean. The beach area however was very disappointing. As it was part of the Mar Menora at the lower end it could be smelly. Entering the water was quite difficult as your feet seemed to sink. Further down the beach it was a bit better and we did actually swim, however the water was very warm and on hot days does not feel refreshing. In my opinion it would be better to hire a taxi or driver and visit some of the better beaches in the area which are excellent. We did however have some really nice restaurants where we were and having the key to a really good pool was great. As I said the property was excellent and the owners were very helpful.

Super Häuschen und einer netten, ruhigen Umgebung.

Sehr gepflegtes, sauberes, nettes Reihenhäuschen mit einer Ausstattung die alles beinhaltet was man braucht. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Eine sehr nette und äusserst aufmerksame Vermieterin die immer bekümmert war und sich auch um alles gekümmert hat. Toller Aufenthalt für Familien die einfach mal Ruhe suchen in einer Entspannten Lage mit nahen Anbindung an La Manga und das Mittelmeer. Der tolle Pool ist fussläufig in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen. Das Mar Menor selbst ist weniger zu empfehlen. Das hat und aber in keinster Weise gestört. Mietwagen sollte vorhanden sein.

Muy buena

La casa está estupenda. Muy limpia, bien cuidada, buenas camas. Instrucciones para cualquier cosa que pudieras necesitar, guia para otras actividades, juegos, etc. Si volvemos, no dudaremos en repetir en esta casa. Los dueños vinieron a saludarnos a la llegada, muy simpáticos y cariñosos.

Sehr schönes und sauberes Reihenhaus.

Wir haben 11 Tage im Oktober in dieser Unterkunft sehr genossen. Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet und bietet alles, was man für einen schönen Urlaub braucht. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und haben viele Ausflugstipps gegeben. Wir waren rundum zufrieden.

Lovely house in very good position

We loved the house which was in excellent condition, spotlessly clean and in a good spot for all amenities. A few minutes walk to the beach and also the pool which had a really good bar/ restaurant. There was also some good eateries just across the road and only a 10 minute walk to the centre of the village. We had a few problems with bites but that is not down to the house more the area and time of year. The one downside for me was the fact the Mar Menor is not great for swimming as it is more a salt lake as opposed to a sea so none tidal and very shallow but the pool made up for that. All in all a great place to stay and I'm sure we will be back.

Delightful property

This is a lovely place to stay for a quiet holiday base, which mainly reflects the fact that it’s a sleepy village with the communal pool being the only place of interest for our family. The beach is very poor - mud and sand - and this isn’t mentioned anywhere. The property is lovely however, with air conditioning to keep you cool at the hottest times and a barbecue for the garden. All well kept and felt safe and secure. A nice outlook from the balcony and a good selection of sitting out places.

Tidy Property

Clean and tidy with a well equipped kitchen and the benefit of a washing machine. The upstairs bedrooms are a good size and have air conditioning. The bedroom downstairs is adequate and only has a ceiling fan. The courtyard at the front of the house is a good size and has a BBQ. The village pool which is available for use is a short walk away and very good. Local shopping and bars and restaurants are as described. The local beach was disappointing being man made and shallow and at the time we were there had lots of seaweed and jelly fish. The other disappointing factor was the number of flies around that meant eating outside both in mornings and early evening was uncomfortable. Lesley the owner was incredibly helpful with local information and made sure we were safely settled in.

Schönes Reihenhaus

Großzügiges Reihenhaus, sehr sauber, schöne Zimmer. Sehr nette Vermieter. Bei Anreise hat die Schlüsselübergabe und die Vorstellung des Hauses super geklappt.

Lovely house in quiet location

The house was very clean and comfortable and had everything needed for self catering, however as there are so many very good restaurants within easy walking distance we found ourselves enjoying eating out. We hired a car the roads in September are very quiet, the drive from Murcia airport took about 25 minutes and was easy, Lesley the owner sent instructions how to get there beforehand. Lesley and Julian met us at the house when we arrived to welcome us and show us around, they are very helpful and have loads of information about the local area. If you can please catch the train from Los Nietos to Cartagea, it's only €2.70 return and Cartagena has so much to see.

Great house with beach & pool close

Had a fantastic time in Los Urrutias. The property was perfect for our stay. Restaurants, beach and pool all within a few minutes walk. Nice quiet area without the hustle and bustle of a very touristy place. Only downside was there weren't many buses to catch to travel elsewhere but if you plan ahead Brad will be able to sort that!

Sehr sauberes Ferienhaus

ich möchte als sehr positiv erwähnen, dass das Haus an meinem Urlaubsbeginn sehr sauber geputzt war. Kommunikation und Schlüsselübergabe funktionierten reibungslos. Kaution wurde nach Urlaubsende sofort rückerstattet. Ich würde bei meinem nächsten Urlaub das Haus auf jeden Fall wieder buchen.

A lovely house in an ideal location

We had a lovely holiday. The house was ideal; it was in a great location, very comfortable and well equipped. The information pack and emails were really helpful. If we are back in that part of the world we will definitely stay again.

Sunny relaxing holiday

We have just returned form a 2 week stay at this home which is well equipped and everything worked efficiently. Our plan was to stay and sunbathe at the house but sadly this was not possible as the sun does not get to the sunbathing area at the front until afternoon, that plus the fact that the road was being dug up outside and the fields locally were being spread with chicken manure, which really made for a terrible smell, meant that we had to re think our plans. There was also a covering of reddish dust each day which required cleaning in order to use the outside tables and seating. However these things are just part of life in a rural area and we adapted by getting up and out each day exploring the area. We left the car at Los Nietos station and went for the day to Cartagena, roamed the length and breadth of Mar Menor, the local beach was cordoned off. My other plan was to have a swim in the village pool each day however the hours that it was open were limited ( I had hoped for an early morning session) also there are no sun beds round the pool and the few chairs that are there were occupied with peoples clothing so my husband had to sit in the café which is right next to it. The pool is clean and well maintained however despite the fact that there are clean changing/shower rooms next door the swimmers seemed to feel it was totally acceptable to strip naked when they got out of the pool and change in full view of everyone, No doubt just a cultural difference but a bit shocking to a prudish brit. We enjoyed a peaceful walk each day along all of the local promenades, they were usually almost empty but sadly there was lots of dog faeces, until this is policed effectively as it seems to be along the front at Los Alcazares, it does spoil otherwise pretty areas. The local shops are friendly and for a bigger shop Lidl and Consum at Los Alcazares cannot be beaten on price and selection. The only downside to these big supermarkets is that they look like they have been built on a land fill site as there is so much rubbish strewn around especially at the back. There are large areas in this part of Spain where there is a great deal of rubbish especially plastic, perhaps this would be less noticeable if there was more vegetation earlier in the year. We were amazed to see the farmers had ploughed all the plastic into their fields, perhaps its biodegradable but it looked very odd. Having bought this house as a holiday home in 2004 Julian and I fell in love with the area and moved out to Spain in 2005. We lived in this house for the first 6 months but needed to find a larger property as we planned to open a watersports business and needed lots of storage for boats and equipment. We have now been living here for 19 years and we still love it!

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We specifically chose this property as we wanted somewhere quiet, close to the beach but also close to local amenities like shops and restaurants. The house is 3 minute walk to the beach but not right down on the promenade where you would get a lot more hustle and bustle. It is located in a quiet street at the edge of the village overlooking countryside and the Mar Menor. It is also just 35 mins to Murcia airport so you don't have to waste lots of time travelling.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The village of Estrella de Mar is very pretty and has several communal parks and gardens. There is a beach club with a lovely swimming pool, play area for the kids and multi-sport area for bigger kids. You can head down to the beach club if you want to socialise and head back to the house for a bit of peace and quiet! There are 5 restaurants / bars in the village and many more in the neighbouring village of Los Urrutias. If you want shops you will find a few small stores in Los Alcázares but more serious shoppers need to head to Cartagena or Murcia. A local train runs from the neighbouring village of Los Nietos to Cartagena. The area is ideal for those who like to explore, the Calblanque Natural Park is just 15 minutes away and has some of the best beaches in Spain, it is also great for walking and cycling in the cooler months. The pretty fishing port of Cabo de Palos is 15 minutes drive which has lovely beaches, great fish restaurants and also some great walks around the lighthouse and rocky headland. We love living here and have no plans to hope you will love it too!
