Hidden in a garden, a cottage, brought back to life as a family home of one bedroom,for a quiet sleep.Sheltered from the sea winds by the thriving garden,accommodates from two adults and one child.

For a peaceful sleep, waking up with our birds is lovely.
Living with gardens and flowers, pigeons, blackbirds, sparrows and, sometimes, two or three storks tearing the sky slowly for their nests.
Never forget the binoculars.

Copies of paintings by Picasso, Kandisnsky, Miró, against white walls, from an old collection, belonging to the owners.

Eating with family or friends, indoors or on the terrace with grill, around a wooden table, in the shade of our old bugainvillea is always mandatory.

Local market in Zambujeira to buy fish and vegetables.
Open every day from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Supermarket Intermarchê r small shops with Alentejo bread, good vegetables, etc. open every day from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

We speak Spanish, English, perfect or not.

..... What to do with the remains

We separate traces of fruits, vegetable peels, etc. Everything that is biodegradable.
We use to fertilize our garden.
Plastics, cards, etc., we thank our guests for bringing them
to the nearest container on the way to the beach.

Laundry in the garden where our guests can wash their clothes and drying on thear clothesline,in the garden.

Frequent visits by friends of our guests are prohibited.
*******We are pet-friendly BUT....

Owners cannot leave them locked up at home, they begin to bark, disturbing those who remain on the property.
So, there are beaches where you can take them, even very close.
So we want to maintain the peace and tranquility that is the essence of our project.

After 10 pm, calm is needed, it is normal to speak quietly outside the house on the terraces.


The cleaning of the requested houses during your stay will be your responsibility.

Swooping swallows, doves, blackbirds, sparrows, and occasionally two or three storks tearing up the sky slowly flying towards the nests at the top of the cliffs of the coast.


The owners, city people, were delighted with this simple lifestyle; picking organic veg from the garden,always with a good book close by,friends to visit, and lovely guests.

The house is also available during the pleasantly mild winter months.
Enjoy a cosy night in with a book or movie by the antique wood stove, or take a stroll on the many neighbouring pathways and breathe in the crisp fresh air.

These peaceful surroundings will allow you to take time to do relaxing activities like reading a good book or just enjoying a serene and calm atmosphere. If you are more of an adventurous type however, don´t forget to bring your binoculars along for a fascinating activity of bird watching.
