The Nene Nest, Kauai es una clásica casa de estilo plantación de azúcar ubicada en el siempre soleado West Side de Kauai. A solo 152 pasos de la playa, ofrece una verdadera sensación de Hawai.

Diseñado con un ritmo 'lento' en mente, nuestra esperanza es que disfrute cada parte de su estadía; tomando un café en el lanai actualizado por las mañanas con un libro en la mano, o relajándose en la playa rodeada de sol y la brisa del mar en la hermosa isla jardín de Kauai.

EL ESPACIO:

Completamente restaurado y remodelado, cuenta con una nueva cocina totalmente equipada, baño nuevo, dos amplias habitaciones, cómoda sala de estar, lanai, aire acondicionado en la habitación y jardín paisajístico. Sus techos de nueve pies y medio, ventanas ventiladas gigantes, molduras de corona originales y revestimiento de madera, pisos de madera originales y ventiladores de techo tropicales en cada habitación le dan la sensación de "paraíso de antaño".

LA ZONA:

La casa está en Kekaha, la zona más soleada de Kauai con la playa de arena blanca más larga de las islas hawaianas. Este es el verdadero Hawai, lejos de las playas y tiendas llenas de turistas, donde los servicios religiosos y las conversaciones en los supermercados todavía se escuchan en el idioma hawaiano. Sin embargo, excelentes restaurantes, supermercados, mercados de agricultores, tiendas, galerías de arte y excelentes actividades al aire libre en Kauai están a minutos de distancia. A 10 out of 10!

This home was exactly what we were looking for! Cute, clean, private, close to an awesome beach, great hosts, all the amenities we could need! There were a/c units for my daughter who enjoys to cool off, but individual units in the rooms so I could embrace and enjoy the fresh natural air!they had books, beach equipment, a Ukelele, and lesson book, and an outdoor shower for after the beach! The hosts were prompt in responding and very helpful! It is rare that I enjoy staying places longer than a few days but I could have stayed another week as it was so great!

Amazing little gem

Perfect for us. We loved this little place and it started to feel like home in the short period we stayed. Easy walk to the ocean and just up the road from our favorite beach. Would go back in a heartbeat.

This was our second stay at the Nene Nest. We love everything about this house both inside and out! The inside is very clean, well stocked and comfortable. The yard is very private and quiet…love the outdoor shower and it is just a short walk to get to the beach for sunsets. What a way to end each day! Melissa gets an A for communication and we are very thankful that she and Kyle love sharing their beautiful home and town with us! Most definitely 5 stars!

Charming Stay

A beautiful and cozy home, nestled into what felt like a landscaped courtyard. This was a perfect location for us, since our main activity was repeatedly heading to Waimea Canyon to hike the extensive trails. Would certainly stay again!

We loved the Nene Nest!

We (3 adults) had a fantastic stay in Kekaha! The home was perfect for our needs and very well-stocked. A 2-minute walk to the beach and a 5-minute drive to shops, restaurants, and stores in Waimea. The neighborhood is quiet (except for the roosters!) and the home is very private. The owners were very responsive (ahem, sponge delivery :-) and friendly. Check in/out was a breeze. We would definitely rent the Nene Nest again and I highly recommend you do as well.

Cute cortage

We enjoyed this cute cottage. There were many small touches that we appreciated. We enjoyed the large spacious bedrooms with wonderful cross ventilation. The kitchen was adequate. We would have liked serving bowls and utensils. The proximity to the beach was great and we enjoyed the black sand. Wonderful sunsets. The proximity to our catamaran tour and Waimea Canyon was perfect. There is a lack of grocery stores and restaurants in Kekaha that we enjoyed on the north side of the island.

Beautiful Cottage

We loved our time at the NeNe nest! Such a beautiful property a block from the beach. Everything was perfect and we loved the location close to the route to Waimea Canyon and picking up our boat trip to NaPali in Eelele. We would 1000% do it again. Thank you!

A real home to us

We can really recommend the Nene Nest. We felt so comfortable that the only negative thing we can report is that we only booked 10 days (our mistake ;-)).The Nene Nest is exactly like in the pictures, but more beautiful. Melissa and Kyle have a great knack for decorating. The furniture is, unlike so often in other vacation rentals, high quality and carefully selected. The beds are fantastic. There are plenty of wardrobes and chests of drawers. The kitchen is large and very well equipped. The cottage is in a quiet area. Yes, the ubiquitous chickens start their “chatter” really early, to be honest we didn't hear it from the third night onwards.Thank you Melissa for letting us call the Nene Nest our home! Whenever we go back to Kauai, the Nene Nest is our first choice.

A little gem

Everything was as described. It was a sweet little cottage hidden away from the street. It was well maintained and had everything we needed. Beach towels, beach chairs and boogie boards were a welcome addition. We would return.PS. Poke from the local Mini Mart (0.6 mile walk) lacked ambiance, but was delicious and fresh.

Beautiful and refreshing

We loved staying at Nene Nest and really enjoyed the West side of Kauai. It is close to a lot of hiking in the Waimea Canyon and to a wonderful scuba diving operation Explore Kauai. The neighborhood was quiet and not touristy at all. Nene Nest was extremely clean and very comfortable.

Always the best place!

This is now our second time staying at the Nene nest and it was perfect. We were able to have the comforts of home while on a week long vacation. We love staying at the nene nest and its proximity to the true Aloha spirt.

The most magical honeymoon getaway

We could not be more grateful for our stay at the Nene nest! My husband and I both agreed it was the best accommodation we have ever stayed at. The location, character of the house, communication with the host, and all of the well-thought out amenities were incredible. We are already looking forward to our next stay. Nice quiet cozy place

Close to the beach, beautiful sunsets, and nice quiet cozy place with everything we needed for our family. Owner Melissa made sure we were okay when there was a large fire about 5 miles from us.

Kauai Vacation

We enjoyed our time at the Nene Nest. The location was perfect for us with spectacular hiking, beaches and boat ride up the Na Pali coast very convenient. The sunsets from the porch and close by beach were great.

Perfect Location To Explore The Southwest Side

We stayed at the Nene Nest to explore the hikes of Waimea Canyon and Koke’e State Park. The location was great- close to the trails and Waimea Town itself in case we wanted to go out and eat or get groceries. The house was comfortable and in a very quiet location. Steps to the beach for sunsets, short driving distance to swimmable beaches. If you’re looking for a good home base to explore this area, I highly recommend the Nene Nest.

Home away from home

We absolutely loved our stay at this little gem. Set in a local neighbourhood and with so much love for detail, it felt a little bit as though we would actually live here. The cottage itself is just beautiful, the decor on point and the kitchen very well equipped. It was so nice to have a beautiful garden to hang out as well.

While we live in Seattle full time, most of our family live on-island. We have been coming here for over twenty years and finally decided it was time to call a piece of it ‘home’ and give others a place to enjoy this beautiful island from.
