Front beach house

Imagine waking up and walking outside to witness a natural landscape that has so much space for you to be surrounded by the unique setting of life in Costa Rica. We have small, beautiful homes that are sitting all pretty separately from each other. A total of 3 houses. The first one is right in front of the beach, the second one a few steps back, and the third house is further from the ocean but you have access to it from the property. Regardless, each house has a completely different feel and even though they are twins, the third house is the only one that hosts up to 6 people. The first two houses (the ones with beach view offer stay for up to 5). Just be sure to inquire about more houses if your group is bigger than 5 people so that you can rent more than one house if you so desire.

We are open all year round and even during the rainy season, coming to this natural wonderland is a complete adventure. Be prepared to delve into a close encounter with the vast world of flora and fauna that the North Pacific Coast of Costa Rica offers, and take a deeper look into the peace and joy it brings to be in such a magical place like Playas del Coco. This town is filled with places to visit, it's made up of only a few streets but the community that has built around here throughout the years has become a very peaceful and wonderful township.

You will see smiles everywhere you go. We have the best and friendliest staff members who are two brothers that will charm you with their wonderful personalities. They really are the heart of the villas. They took their time to build this project since they started it in late 2022. Slowly and without the help of anyone, they have brought this place to become a safe haven for travelers, adventurers, and also for Costa Ricans who love to come and rent our little beach houses as well.

Size doesn't matter this time! These houses are small, yes. But you cannot find a place like ours. We are a completely unique place. These houses were built after the government took down the original beach house our grandparents built back in 1966. The piece of land remained and we had these houses built to save the property from being snatched back by the authorities. Coming to this heirloom property is an experience that will feel like Costa Rica. It will be, for you, a close encounter with the culture, the lifestyle, and the peace that this paradise offers.

There are many different species of animals and plants here at Iguana Street Houses and we love to look after them. We are now close to Salvemono, a group of people determined to help monkeys that are still here in the area even after so many years of development. We have monkey bridges on the trees for the monkeys to safely travel with their young and pregnant through the high treetops. Birds also visit here a lot because the property has a lot of food to offer them and other types of animals such as green and black iguana, crab, racoons, possums, anteaters, and many other species.

If you are lucky and fruit is in season here, you might be lucky enough to pick your own lime, jocotes, mangos and even tamarindo! You have permission to pick some fruit off of the trees for you to enjoy. The limeade you can make with these limes is a true taste of the soil and the land. Immerse yourself in the pleasure it is to have this unique access to our perfect paradise.

Get picked up by our private boat guide right in front of the property on the ocean to head deeper into the bay and find yourself exploring other beaches that can only be accessed by boat. Get picked up for a volcano tour with waterfall and hot springs to experience right here from our property on a minibus that we cater for you. Well, the following cannot go without mention:

We are your quickest, easiest and best portal to all tours and rentals in the country.

We are located about 10 minutes walking distance from downtown, if you walk by the beach, you will get there faster. A block and a half away, we have a minimarket that you can get yourself drinks and food at. They are also surrounded by a bunch of cool restaurants and bars that you can visit to enjoy a nice cold Pilsen or Bavaria Gold. These are the two Costa Rican beers we recommend.

We offer a breakfast menu! No need to rush in the morning. Let us prepare for you one of the items from our menu that will enchant your tastebuds. Getting a home cooked meal by true masters of the art come together and make you breakfast with tender loving care all the way from their kitchen? I think so. Make plans to eat here. You won't regret it.

Here is a little secret:
If you do not have a line to call us or service on your phone, you connect to the wifi from outside the houses, just find your house and find the nearest wifi available in your wifi access on your device. You will see either a number 1, 2, or 3 after the word Casa, each password will have its corresponding number as well after the word Valverde. (Example: for Casa 3, the password is Valverde3). With this information you will be able to communicate with us when you arrive. If this information is not clear, please ask us. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Yes, we have parking space. You can park the vehicle right next to the house where you will be staying and you will have the car under camera surveillance the entire time you are parked inside the property. Please ask us about where to leave your car at night specifically so that we can keep a better eye on it and you don't leave it in a blind zone for our cameras.
