Cockroach and dirty sheets in a great location

Very disappointed with the Cleanliness of the property. The check in at 4pm and the check out at 9am was very inconvenient. Fire detector was missing. The location of the house was ok.

Charming house

House was exactly as advertised. Easy to access. Not far from restaurants, grocery store, etc. only about 25-30 from NAS Pensacola. Would stay again if we are able to come visit before graduation. Loved the fenced in back yard and patio.

Yellow house!

We stayed and property for 3 nights, bought food to cook in stove so it would be quick and easy and couldn’t even use the stove to bake anything. The minute you turned on the oven it was instant gas smell. The 3 sinks would get Clogged right away, stopper in tub was broke, sand was all throughout the house as if it wasn’t cleaned before. The dishwasher leaked when we turned it on. The ice machine didn’t work. Paid all that money to constantly have issues.

Good place for us

We enjoyed time at the beach and also downtown Pensacola. Good location for both. Only problem we had was when hot water quit, which I quickly found was because the water heater had been left on "vacation". When I turned it back on, everything was fine.

Property was clean and appeared as advertised. Nice neighborhood and close to everything. Check in was a breeze and any questions asked were promptly answered. Would definitely stay here again. We had 5 adults and 4 kids and there was room for everyone.

Yellow house

Our stay was wonderful, the house was clean and neat. The house is located in a beautiful neighborhood, safe for kids to play out front In drive way or in the backyard. The house had everything we needed while we were there. I would Definitely stay again. Stores and restaurants are close by aswell... Definitely a great place. We loved it

Easy stay

Staying here is just plain easy. We visit Pensacola every year and love the convenience of Gulf Breeze. The house was clean and spacious. Some essentials to get you started. Would recommend and stay again!

Terrible rental company / Poorly maintained rental

The rental had dirty floors and counters with dead bugs laying everywhere. The refrigerator had black water come out of its water dispenser. The sheets had sand in them, unclean. I had to sweep and mop the first floor myself. We just wore shoes or socks on the second floor with dirty carpet. The heat couldn't keep the place warm, like it isnt functioning correctly. When contacted Southern vacation rentals sent a generic automated response, no one showed up until two days into our stay ( the day before we left). It turned out the heater was totally broken after a service tech came out and would need replaced, nothing was offered by southern vacation rentals to compensate us for this inconvenience with temperatures dipping into the 40s and 50s at night. They replaced the water filter in the fridge and had a maid come change the sheets / vacuum the second floor. The deck was dirty on arrival, I had to clean debris off myself and the guy who was supposed to clean it showed up the second day. There was one dishwasher soap tab. There was no soap for the clothes washer, no hand soap for any bathroom or kitchen sink, no salt and pepper, barely any trash bags (two tiny ones for four days). The furniture is falling apart, glass table tops just sitting on a stand with nothing holding them on. Drawers barely open in bathrooms and on dressers. With a one year old we had to rearrange the first floor due to all the falling apart furniture so he wouldn't hurt himself. The living room cable TV box doesn't put out any sound, I had to bring a box from another room so that the family could watch TV together. Overall the experience has been very negative here, with barely any assistance from Southern vacation rentals. I will not recommend this rental company or any of it's properties to anyone I know.

Prompt attention

When we had some pretty severe plumbing issues, left by previous renters, the prop managers were pretty quick to respond. They did their best to make it right. The house is NOT near the sandy beach, must cross the bridge for that, but IS near a park for tennis, basketball, playground, fountain play, biking, and shoreline picnicking. A short couple of blocks from pharmacy, wal-mart, and chick fil a. The backyard and patio were nice retreats. The bed was comfortable! Gas appliances were a little scary, but I figured it out. Need to make very clear that driving to Pensacola beaches will be required, and the toll.

Great Stay

Everything was great! The house is located in a nice area close to the beach. House was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The only issues were a cabinet door above the sink that had a damaged hinge and the WiFi didn’t work. Neither of the issues will prevent me from staying here again in the future. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Great customer experience

We all know unfortunate events can happen. Spending all day in the summer fun you hope to return to a cool house to relax in. When we came home to the Yellow House we found the AC unit Frozen. Just a quick call that night and we were able to make friends with a tech who was able to provide us a breath of cold air.

Nice Place But....

This was a nice comfortable home but all 3 trash cans were full as we arrived so we had to shove trash in them the entire time we were there so now they are open top full. They wanted us to pick up house and linens which we are not dirty people but a couple hundred dollars in Cleaning fees thats your job to change linens not mine. Pull out couch bed needs new mattress you could feel bar in back the whole time. Other than than lovely stay and home good location.

Almost Perfect

**My review deals only with the first floor, since it was just my husband and myself, with our dogs** First impressions: GREAT location, super cute house, nice appliances, nice antique furniture. A/C works very well, kitchen is equipped with just about anything you will need to prepare food, which we do a lot of when on vacation. The downstairs bedroom had a dead cockroach in the light fixture - no big deal, really. The dresser in the bedroom is a beautiful antique dresser, but almost not functional. The drawers are difficult to pull out and are no longer on any kind of a runner, so they want to fall out if you're not careful. Also, no big deal, really. The downstairs bathroom also has a beautiful antique dresser that has been repurposed as a sink/vanity. There are no shelves or any other kind of storage and the drawers in the dresser/vanity are almost not functional, either. We noticed that the T.V. table had a great deal of dust on it and behind the bathroom door, the wall was extremely dusty, too. I joked that is was just like being at home, but really, I don't think it's the impression the property management company is looking for. The first morning, we found a dead cockroach just outside the laundry room, the second morning, there was another one in the bedroom. The fourth evening we were there, a live roach ran across the living room floor. We aren't squeamish people and we understand that occasionally bugs will come inside looking for food or water. I just feel like, for the money we spent, a simple treatment around the perimeter of the house, would have prevented this. That being said, we really did enjoy our stay and the few negative things are not enough to keep us from wanting to stay there again. This truly is a case where the positives outweigh the negatives. I think it would be a good idea for the property management to consider doing a routine spraying for pests - not just indoors, but the backyard sprayed for fleas/ticks/mosquitos, too.
