Paradise!

We had a wonderful time! Juan and staff took very good care of us and our surroundings. The beach was terrific and the pool so inviting! We had Jessica over for a scuba refresher class ...she is a gem. We went snorkeling with Chi Chi Charters and it was amazing. Saw many different aquatic life. We also went to Punta Sur. We do love it there. We went out to dinner to Azul Madera (so-so), Pancho's Backyard (delicious and great tequila options), Buccanos (excellent), Kondesa (delish), and for our last night Guido's (also excellent). We had massages on the rooftop of the villa...out of this world! Everything we did was convenient to get to with the rental car. Thank you! We'll be back! Alison

Great time!

The property was fantastic and certainly met all visual expectations. The staff was very accommodating and answered our requests promptly. The only critical feedback I can give is that the pool seemed cold at about 70 degrees especially after swimming in the 81 degree ocean. We were told that there is no heater for the pool. We also ran out of hot water every time we all wanted to shower but certainly can be easily fixed by installing a tankless water heater. Other than that, we all had a great time!

family getaway

greatest stay villa is as beautiful as it looks….. the only problem we had was electricity went out for almost 2 days no generator but the smaller villa next door had a generator hard with small children in the night but loved the villa

Absolute perfection

This was my 26th visit to Cozumel. I have stayed at hotels, resorts and rented many villas. This villa provides an excellent choice for a family group. There were a total of ten of us, seven adults and three children. The house was staffed by Juan and his wife Mariela who reside on premises in a separate casita. They were always available but never intrusive. The service was excellent. We did not take advantage of the offered chef service as we enjoy the numerous restaurant options available on the island. We loved it so much we rented it for next year while we were staying there. Rent this villa you will not regret it.

Perfect Casa

The pictures of the house are exact. We loved the main room of the house as it was big, yet cozy for our family to gather. Beds were very comfortable, swiiming pool was just the right temperature, and the beach and view were amazing. Juan and Maria, the caretakers were friendly and helpful. Communiciation with the owner, Alicia, was always quick and easy. This was a perfect family vacation in a beautifully clean home. Would highly recommend.

Dive trip and family time

Amazing location for dive boat pick up. Beautiful view of the beach too with shade from gorgeous palm trees. Noisy with beach clubs and we had a noisy group staying next to us. Great if you are out on the boat all day. Some beach club guests lingered a bit uncomfortably close at times. As we were all adults we placed security top of mind and looked out for each other. The island is so amazing for diving and this property is excellent for water access and ocean views.

Best Week Ever!

THANK YOU!! Colorado group of friends spent the week of Jan 21-28th 2023. Everything advertised about this home is spot on. Our group was 5 couples and 2 single adults. Best vacation everyone having their own space and also the perfect group space. Starting at the top with the covered outdoor space provides beautiful views for miles, sunrise to sunset. Kitchen large enough to gather around the counter to mix drinks, eat snacks etc. The outdoor dinning, perfect for our group to eat like a family and thanks to Luis and Axle we ate wonderful food. I highly recommend the chef services they will NOT disappoint. The Pool was a little cold, but refreshing for a quick dip. Nice private (ish) area of beach and a beautiful view of the ocean. Captured a few great pics of the sunset through the palm trees. (Frame worthy). Thank you Alicia for the great communication throughout the planning process and thank you for the house for the week. We felt spolied that week and look forward to another trip in the future.

January vacay

We, 4 couples, rented Chango Villa for the 2nd week of January to escape some winter blues. Communication was easy with the owners from early on and during our stay, answering all my random questions. It was perfect for us as the 3rd floor has 4 equal king suites. The villa had us in awe from the moment we arrived, throughout our stay, and when we said good bye to our new friends (the staff). I’m so glad I did my research and we requested the chef services during our stay, including lobster upgrade one night. (Name spellings?). Chef Luis was great and so friendly along with his assistant Axle. Can’t recommend this enough. On Sunday we took a taxi just a short ride to Alberto’s for dinner and a great sunset view; (Chef’s day off.). Villa Manager, Juan, was kind and helped with anything we needed, including setting up taxi rides with Javier, and on site massages. Juan’s wife Marilla arrived every morning to tidy up around the villa for us. They were all great. We always felt safe as there is a gate at the driveway and locking gates at all beach access points. We used the shopping services as well, and it was nice to arrive to a fully stocked refrigerator, cupboards and bar. We took daily morning walks, usually up (North) along the beach past Residencias Reef condos and then on the concrete boardwalk through Secrets. Cozumel is a major cruise port, so the Beach Clubs (to the South) fill up with “cruisers” from about 9:30 - 4:30. There’s enough distance from the villa that they never really bothered us. Definitely bring water shoes for the ocean as there are some rocks and coral as you enter. I didn’t think the snorkeling was great, but some others in our group had better luck, and one saw a seahorse! Gracias Alicia. Hope we can return some day.

Beautiful accommodations for a large family group

Incredible property, impeccably maintained inside and out with very friendly and helpful staff. We were a large 3 generation family group, ages 11 months to several sets of 60-70 year old grandparents. The chef was great. We couldn’t have managed without their wonderful meals. The concierge Jessica, was very helpful, especially for getting car rentals even at the last minute. She arranged a boat/snorkeling trip that was a highlight of our stay. The location is perfect. You can walk the beach a long ways south (maybe 2 miles?).

Lovely House with amazing location and beautiful beach.

The house was perfectly clean, the communication before arrival and durning the trip was great. We utilized the chef service and were completely satisfied. We had a member of our group with food allergies and they were accommodating for every meal. Jessica was very helpful arranging and recommending activities for our group to do. We rented a van to go into town and other activities and that was helpful. Overall, we had a great trip, I would highly recommend this property!

AMAZING Property!!!

Three families who are great friends, all wanted to have a trip of a lifetime and this absolutely delivered! This Villa was very thoughtfully designed with a great set up. Every bedroom has its own bathroom and the design and colors are so fun. Beds were extremely comfortable too! The chef, Luis and Lilianna were so nice and made sure we were always happy- Luis’s meals were in incredible!!! Do yourself a favor and definitely book the chef service!! The housekeepers and concierge who helped us book excursions- everyone was so great! Convenient location outside of hustle and bustle but close enough to beach clubs. I have been telling everyone about this place- hope to make it back sometime in the future!! Thank you Alicia! Jen

Absolutely wonderful

We were a group of 14, including 4 kids and 1 teenager. The villa was so spacious, clean, and wonderful. There are so many areas to spread out, both inside and outside. We used the chef service for breakfast dinner and it was worth every penny. Such good food and the chef was accommodating of any requests. I can’t wait to stay here again!

Can't wait to return!

The Villa is about 15 mins from town, so a short cab ride for shopping or to the ferry. It is beachfront and the pictures of the villa are very accurate, it is stunning. There are 5 ocean front bedrooms (all pretty much identical) with en suite baths. The additional two bedrooms (one is a king bed and the other has two twins) are on the beach level and you cannot see the ocean from the windows but that area also has its own kitchen and living room, a great place for teens, in my opinion. The house manager is there first thing each morning to exchange beach towels, ensure the pool chemicals are set and assisted us with snorkel equipment, paddle boards and kayaks (no life jackets), and took care of our pre-arrival grocery list/shopping. All equipment was in excellent shape and used throughout our stay. We also used the chef service for breakfast and dinner. Each day we were able to set the time for the meals based on our schedule which was really helpful. The meals were excellent and accommodations were made for the kids and others with special diet needs. Additionally, each day housekeeping arrived after breakfast to clean and tidy all spaces. They even will do small loads of laundry for a small fee. We also used the concierge service to arrange private transport to a number of excursions, private snorkel/sail trips, etc. The location of the villa is very convenient if you plan to visit Dolphin Discovery/Chakanab park (take the VIP Dolphin encounter and you also get 10-15 mins hands on with the manatees) or Mr. Sanchos Beach club (Sundays are the slowest day here so go then if you can and have the place to yourself). Additionally, the private snorkel tours were able to pick us up at the neighboring beach club pier (3 min walk). We also arranged with the help of the concierge a bar crawl and a Mayan ruin tour. We were there for two full weeks with two different groups (each group for a separate week) and everyone had a great time and wished they could stay longer. P.S. Additional notes: 1. You can snorkel right in front of the house and see a variety of fish but bring water shoes as it is rocky. 2. Consider bringing a small bottle of bug repellant as the mosquitos are out after dark but weren't an issue during the day at all. 3. The COVID testing you can have arranged by the villa is very helpful-done onsite and results printed out for you that afternoon. We cannot wait to go back and enjoy it again soon!

Amazing place to stay in Cozumel

What an awesome property. Far and away the best rental I’ve stayed in through VRBO. The home is absolutely exquisite and a great value. Beautiful location, great amenities and impeccably maintained. Everyday, we had at least a few folks stop on the beach to take selfies in front of the property. I will definitely be looking to rent it again.

We spent Dec. 4th -11th at Chango Villa and it was the vacation of a life time. This was my 9th stay on the island. This trip was 7 brothers and sisters and the spouses who had not all been together at one time in at least 20 years. All we can say is that this was the perfect property in a perfect setting. All aspects of the stay met or exceeded our expectations. We chose to have Luis and Marisole as our chefs and they were the BEST. It’s an option that we highly recommend. They made us breakfast and dinner and it was plenty of food and absolutely delicious and authentic. What a joy it was to not have to cook or clean. The staff cleaned everyday and having 7 bedrooms with en suite bathrooms was great. We did not feel like we needed to go in to town for anything.we chose the option of having kayaks, paddle boards, snorkeling equipment and we used it everyday. We had 14 people in our group and we never felt cramped. There was plenty of room to accommodate everyone. From our first contact with the owner Brian we had nothing but excellent communication and everything was smooth as silk. All 14 of us were 100% pleased. You will not be sorry with a stay at Chango Villa.

Perfect Family Getaway

We've been planning my husband's 50th birthday trip to Chango Villa for almost a year. We brought our grown children, small grandchildren, and some close friends with teens. We were tentative about traveling out of the country with Covid restrictions and numbers constantly in flux, but we had nothing to worry about! Even without Brian putting my mind at ease, the house cleaning protocol went above and beyond. The house itself is exactly as gorgeous as pictured! The beach is sandy, but as you wade in to snorkel, there are some coral/rocks so you might want to bring water shoes or flippers. Once you get past that, the snorkeling is wonderful. We rented the paddleboards and did some kayaking, too. We also took advantage of the short walk down the beach to the beach club and had lunch a few times. The chef service is a must! We also booked the bartending service for a few days (two would have been plenty). There is something to do for everyone, at every age--a pool with the view of the beach, and the long table that looks over all of that--so no matter where you are, you're still *together*. Each bedroom had its own temperature control, beach towels were replaced daily, everything was sparkling clean, and Brain was a great communicator. Overall, we had a blast and will definitely be returning to Chango Villa!

Friends and family getaway

I cannot say enough about this property and the team. The location, amenities and decor of the house were amazing. The beds were so comfortable and the pool and view are spectacular. Juan went above and beyond to welcome us and to make sure everything was terrific. The chef, Luis and Marisol served amazing food each day and made sure to support each person's needs. This is probably the best vacation we've had!

Fantastic family reunion

Chango Villa surpassed our expectations. Beautiful villa, great location, and wonderful staff that made us feel like family. Juan, Marisol, and Luis are the best! We opted for the meal service and loved Luis' authentic Mexican cuisine. We spent many happy hours in the private pool. Chango Villa was a great choice for our family of 12.

Cozumel was chosen because of the spectacular Caribbean water, amazing scuba diving, and the islands rich culture and casual life style. The villa was custom designed, constructed, and completed in early 2006. Our first guests began renting the villa in the middle of 2006.
