Cozy Cabin

Great little get away on a quiet road. Super clean, plenty of kitchen supplies, towels, and whatnot. Geoff went beyond with maps and books to help you get acquainted with what to do in the area. Great stay!

BFF's Enjoy Nature's Beauty

The house was clean and comfortable. Geof has thought of every convenience, condiment, and detail that made our stay wonderful! I would love to come back and stay longer. The weather was cold and we wished we could have spent more time enjoying the porch. wonderful!

Perfect Place

5 stars for all of it! Clean and comfortable. We loved coming back to this place after hiking because it felt like home. Kitchen is stocked well and the bed was comfortable.

Loved the porch

Loved the porch and the location. Wasnt expecting a trailer, but it did have everything we need. It is clean and well maintained. There is no gym only a yoga ball and mats but the hiking was close. Internet worked well.

Relaxing Break from Reality

Our stay was great! The cabin was a "home away from home". The owner communicated with us well, cabin well stocked, clean. Location close to everything. We made good use of the awesome, relaxing front porch. Great family vaca. Would stay again. Would recommend!

Lovely

Super nice place with easy access to so many great things in Red River Gorge. Very thoughtful host-was never without. Quite spacious for being a small place (giant deck helps!). Photos of local sights throughout the place were lovely and inspiring for some hikes! Only wish the shower water pressure was stronger! One suggestion for future development-build an awning to park motorcycles under!

It was nice property, a little difficult to get to coming from the West until we learned to get off in Stanton. For anyone looking for outdoor activities the Slade area is fabulous and only minutes away. The neighbors dog Riley will possibly come to visit. He is skiddish but friendly!!!

Great property!

We had a great stay! The host was very responsive in the weeks leading up to our stay with questions. When we checked in the property was very clean and had every amenity I could think of. It was within 15-20 minutes of every "hike" we wanted to do. Great local restaurants. Although, we did want to try the Mexican place but they are closed Monday and Tuesday. We stopped at the grocery store on our way to the cabin. The grill was a bonus and we used it twice! The deck was amazing and so nice to sit outside on and enjoy the evenings. The only thing was, after I did the "check out" load of laundry I was going to put it in the dryer but could not figure out how to open the washing machine door! I have never had a front loader and it had a weird lock on it that we could not figure out! Hopefully the cleaning people came shortly after we left and were able to move it to dryer! This place had everything we needed. We were able to have breakfast at the cabin, pack lunches for our hikes which was great! We were able to hike everyday we were there, the weather was perfect! About 75-80 everyday with no rain. The local zipline place was excellent! We went to Miguel's twice! The pizza was great there and so was the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich! Highly recommend this property!

Great 3 day getaway.

What a great time in the Red River Gorge. So near great hiking and beautiful rock formations. The cabin was comfortable and was perfect for our getaway.

Come and Come Again

We have been hiking in the RRG once or twice a year for the past 20 years. We have stayed in many cabins and liked most of them, just not enough to stay in them again because there are so many other cabins to try. However, after staying in this cabin, we will be returning. We like the location - it’s quiet but without being remote. It’s close to the trailheads and the grocery. What impressed us about this cabin is that everything we needed was here and it worked. I usually bring a box of kitchen stuff because there are often melted spatulas, broken can openers, no measuring cups/spoons, dull knives, pans with scratched nonstick coating, etc. This was the first time I didn’t need to take anything out of my box. The cabin is decorated with beautiful photos from around the gorge. It is devoid of the Tchotchkes that often cover all the surfaces so there is space to store your hiking gear (and you don’t end up tripping over it). Geoff has anticipated and supplied everything you will need for your stay. This is the cabin we will be returning to.

Well kept mobile home with a friendly deck. Host eager to please. Beds comfy with a variety of pillow sizes. Excellent location for Gorge hiking activities. I'd stay here again. Kids had a good time as well. Furnace blower can be loud in one bedroom; we turned it off at night.

Long time runner and backpacker, I discovered the Red River Gorge and just fell in love with the area. I got the place for myself in 2021 and plan to keep upgrading it! I hope you enjoy the place as much as me.

This is a hill runner's paradise and as I clean up the back bluffs and build trails it can be fun for the rock climbers and backpackers. This place is no more than 30 minutes from almost all the trailheads and closer to much more. It is easily accessed by a paved county road, yet there are no other cabins or houses in sight.
