The Schoolhouse is nestled in the rolling fields & bluff tops of western Wisconsin, minutes away from Stockholm, Maiden Rock, & Pepin. Whether you’re exploring local galleries, hiking one of the local trails or simply looking for a quiet escape, the Schoolhouse is the ideal getaway.

One of the best!

We came over the river from Minnesota for a long weekend and it was wonderful. I hope to stay here again. We had everything needed for simple meals and snacks. We loved the big windows and the various seating areas.

This schoolhouse is as adorable and authentic as you would hope based on the description. Everything was perfect. School is fully stocked with all the essentials. Owner is responsive. Description is accurate. Perfect 10/10 experience!

A quiet getaway

We loved Pleasant Corner Schoolhouse! We needed a quiet getaway before the start of a busy fall schedule and that is exactly what we got! The location is peaceful and serene. We enjoyed hiking, golfing and exploring towns along the river! Host Mackenzie was always quick to respond and very accommodating!

The Perfect Creative Retreat!

I was looking for a quiet, relaxing, inspiring place to do some writing. The Pleasant Corner Schoolhouse was the absolute perfect spot! The host has thought of everything, making the space comfortable, beautiful, and unique. I can't wait to go back!

Wonderful stay

This property was exactly as presented in the website. Very cozy and comfortable. Everything that we needed was there. Loved the windows. A very comfortable bed. Very close to restaurants.

Lovely 3 night stay.

Wonderful place to stay. Close enough to town to run in quick, but also enjoy the quiet of rural WI. The schoolhouse was very well stocked. It had everything we needed without taking away the charm of a one room schoolhouse. The book nook was an ideal nest for my daughter.

Relaxing

The Schoolhouse is wonderful. Beautiful. The space is thoughtfully designed. Truly relaxing, I could sit in the book nook all day. Stockholm is a great small town to be near. We most certainly will return.

Pleasant Corner School House

This delightful school house was clean, updated, very cute and cozy! The furniture and amenities are very comfortable and new. It checked all of our boxes for a stay along the Great River Road in Wi. We look forward to staying there again. A must stay.

Peaceful Retreat

My adult daughters and I thoroughly enjoyed this peaceful retreat located on the bluff above Highway 35 amongst the farm land of western Wisconsin. It is a quick 5 minutes to the Main Street of Stockholm WI and was a central location for accessing locations to the north and south as we wandered the annual 100 mile garage sale. The accommodations were comfortable, beautifully decorated and unique. We will return......
