Perfect accommodations for visitors coming to Victoria, or someone who is transferred and needs a few months accommodations to get settled in.
Get a way from it all in this OCEAN front suite, in a house, on the ocean with a private sandy beach. We just finished renovating as it has been booked full time for the last 4 years Watch the sunrise sipping coffee from your private patio with views of the ocean, mountains, kayaks and sailboats. Abundant wild life such as eagles, great blue herons, otters and seals. A birdwatchers paradise.
Launch your kayak or canoes from the beach.

Large living room, with patio doors over looking the ocean, with fireplace, great space for a family get together at the end of the day.
We are close to many activities such as golfing, fishing, hiking, swimming , biking trails (famous galloping goose trail minutes away) Great Canadian Casino 5 min. away.
There are many great restaurants, museum, live theater minutes away.
Twenty five minutes away from the famous Butchart Gardens.
Fifteen minutes to downtown Victoria. monthly rental ,3 to 12 month rental, fully furnished.

Wow, wow, wow. Absolutely Perfect!

Where do I begin. My sister & I were looking for a peaceful, quiet retreat for the month of July. Boy oh boy did we find it. The unit spotless and soooo comfortable. The ocean front view was stunning. The canoe was so much fun. All the furnishings, appliances and dishware seemed brand new and were top of the line. Then there's the hosts. I have rented a lot of places around the world and can honestly say I've never come across better. Truly amazing people. Pat & Ian went aboved beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed at all times. Thanks again for everything! We will be back!

Wonderful Place - Wonderful Time - Great Value

My wife and I stayed for 2 weeks. We had a wonderful time. We began each morning with coffee and breakfast on the patio overlooking the quiet bay. We also BBQ'd almost every night and ate looking at the water The actual accommodation was just great. The furniture was top notch, the art very nice and the ammenities were first class ( bedding, towels, kitchen impliments). First class all the way. The property is very close to Thetis lake which is absolutely beautiful. We went swimming almost everyday and took our dog on the hiking trail that cricles the lake. The propert looks on to a private bay with a secluded sandy beach. Our dog loved racing up and down the beach. We kayaked and canoed . We booked again for this summer.

Basement suite is a more appropriate description

This basement suite (not ground suite) was large, clean, and beautifully decorated. It does not have much natural light as it is mostly underground. There is a large patio door in the living room that lets in light but the master bedroom has a tiny window and the second bedroom has no windows at all. If you are planning to stay, I recommend you check to see if anyone has booked the main floor of the house (www.vrbo.com/327328) because you will be able to hear every foot step that they take. Or spend twice the amount and book the main floor yourself because it looked amazing!

Quiet hideaway

The bottom house,(there is a large house on top of you) is very comfortable with all you that need as your "base". You are very close to Victoria but are in View Royal. We always went to Colcord which has some great eating places (6 mile Pub) and the Royal Roads Breakfast place (local). But the best thing was Thetis Lake which is only about 5 minutes from here. Great hiking or running trails, beaches and swimming. They would have a huge crowd every weekend. They practice triatholon swimming in the mornings. Just a great location! The house is very comfortable, everything you need is provided. The price is very reasonable. You are just down the road towards Victoria from George Valle Golf Course and not far from Jack Nicklas "Mt. courses". On your patio, you can watch the ocean in your backyard. Great view. Loved staying here and the hosts were very helpful Highly pleased and highly recommended.

View Royal Hideaway

This well described listing is as nice or even better than the pictures appear. The property is well managed, clean, bright, convenient to town (Victoria) and country (Malahat Highway) alike, right on the ocean, and has an upstairs and a downstairs which can be rented together or individually. The owner was helpful in answering questions and concerns and dealt with any requests on our part promptly and courteously. I would recommed this property to any of my family, friends and acquaintances (who I like) for a restful and relaxing time. It has everything you want and nothing you don't want. A short walk to the 4 Mile Pub (one of our favourites) and a short drive to the Island Highway and Trans Canada to take the permitted pooch to Thetis Lake and other parks and beaches for further adventuring. The wooden stairs to the beach are in need of repair but those plans are in the works. You really cannot go wrong with this listing. Take it from one who has been there!

A Bit of Paradise

My husband and I spent two months this past winter in this lovely accommodation, and will return. It was spotless when we arrived, and we found it to be a spacious place for us, and our dog. The wood-burning fireplace was lovely on rainy evenings (we were there in the winter!) and the view of the ocean inlet was terrific. The kitchen is large, with a formal/informal eating space attached. The bedrooms are a good size, and, despite the fact that it is a basement suite, the walk-out sliding doors provide lots of light. Good lighting has been incorporated into this suite as well. Quite frankly, we loved our time there. There are a few places nearby where our dog could swim in the ocean, and wi-fi is available, for those who like to travel with their computers. The stairs from the property to the ocean are needing work, and we understand that they will be repaired. Kitchen utensils were minimal, but that was remedied quickly by the owners when we asked for them. We were pleased with their responses to our requests. All in all, this is a bit of Paradise, and recommended. BEAUTIFUL! Mardi R.

Great family vacation spot!!!

Our family completely enjoyed the experience we had here at this rental!! What more could kids and a dog ask for but a short hike down the stairs in the backyard to the beach! Beautiful view morning, day and night! Comfortable beds and furniture! Neat and Clean! So quick to downtown Victoria and great access to the main highway north. We will be back again! Thank you!!!
