Find your zen

The perfect place to stay close to the city while finding a haven for work or relaxation. The spa and steam shower were amazing. Loved this stay.

Getaway near the city!

The property is located in a very nice neighborhood within 20 minutes of practically any amenities you might want to try. We felt comfortable in our location without worries of break-ins or theft of any kind. The property itself was amazing and quiet, the spa room is hands down one the coolest places we've ever stayed at, along with a sizable living area and tv for viewing movies late night and relaxing. The property owner Jason and his family were incredibly nice, as this was mine and my new wife's honeymoon spot they were nice enough to bring us a delicious cake from a local bakery! They were more than accomodating with any requests we needed or info about the property itself. If we're ever back in the Atlanta, Georgia area we'll definitely be talking with Jason again about another stay! We had an amazing time! Thank you Jason and family!

Yes, it really is as amazing as the picture!

This magical guest house is the perfect private getaway. The property is absolutely beautiful! It is literally a hidden gem. The spa wing is even more amazing in person, and there was no detail spared in making us feel pampered and relaxed. Everything is labeled with very detailed and easy to comprehend instructions, so there was never any guesswork or need to contact the owner for questions. Not that you wouldn't want to see or talk to Sylvia, because she is so nice and very welcoming! The bedroom is very spacious with a comfy and beautifully dressed king sized bed. The pillows ARE SO COMFORTABLE you will find it difficult to not want to take one home. ( please don't take the pillows..lol). There are 2 big armoirs, one empty and one filled with extra amazing pillows and linens. There is also a large closet and a big desk with chair as well. There's a perfect little open kitchen and bar, and a big comfy couch to watch late night t.v. if you like. We spent most of our time in The Spa Room, because it was just so beautiful in there!! It houses an enormous, and very clean hot tub, a proper sauna room, a huge steam shower/ regular shower, and a bathroom. There are comfortable chairs and a love seat in this room as well. The windows open out and have screens, so we had them open the entire time as the weather was simply beautiful. The entire room is very private, but so filled with light, because all the walls are made of opaque bottle glass, less the 4 corners which house the shower, sauna, bathroom, and a little bar with sink. The room is situated away from the main house and is separated by a beautiful, ivy- covered stone wall on that side. The other side looks out to a lovely green lawn with privacy trees along the perimeter. The location is so convenient to just about anything you would want to do even as far as the outskirts of town. There is a Publix just outside the neighborhood for any of your grocery needs. We are making this little gem a regular stop any time we are near or passing thru Atlanta from now on! You will LOVE it!!

Pleasant & Memorable Stay

We truly enjoyed our stay here. Loved all the amenities but our favorite was the spa room it is so serene in there. The apartment was quiet and comfortable. The host provided upfront notice of construction going on in the driveway. Having access to a washer and dryer was a plus! I would definitely book another stay here in the future. The location is perfect and they provide everything you will need minus food.

Okay property, lacks privacy

Sylvia was really nice and tried to help out as much as she could. The sauna and air conditioning in the spa were both broken when we arrived. Sauna was fixed by my husband with Sylvia’s son watching. Air conditioning was fixed by tech on day 3 of our stay. There was a lot of noise/stomping from upstairs when you are in the apartment, because it is in the basement of the house. Spa area was nice and fun when we could use it. The parking space is past a small gate, so if you have a large truck it is hard to park and leave. The day before we were supposed to check out, we woke up to the electric being out. It was estimated to be on by noon. At noon, that changed to 3. By 4:15, they were saying 9 pm or later, so we cut our vacation short rather than sit in the dark. Would have appreciated an offer of refund for days we could not use the property, but did not get one. It is not the relaxing private romantic getaway we were hoping for, even though we really wanted to love it.

Lovely home with amazing spa room.

Home is in beautiful Atlanta neighborhood, just 10 miles from downtown. Amazing spa room with hot tub, steam shower and sauna that is awesome. Spacious rooms and even a pool table. Easy check in and out.

Fantastic and quiet

We had a wonderful experience here! The apartment is quiet and secluded. You barely realize you’re in the middle of a city in this place. Sylvia was kind and very helpful as well. Highly recommend!

Spa Paradise

We were so comfortable staying at this beautiful estate. We didn't even want to leave to go out to eat. Had Food Terminal deliver! The Spa wing was amazing and the outside pool 🏊‍♀️ was very relaxing. We couldn't get enough. Sylvia was a sweetheart. Great value

Amazing property…

This property was awesome not separate from the actual house. Private entrance lovely outdoor space and lots of privacy. Steam hot tub area was amzing the pool was stunning but cold , furniture outdoors was a bit dirty. Need a little updating the carpet and certain things need extra cleaning, it was a bit stuffy, so I kept the door open for some fresh air but it was awesome non the less!!!

Oasis in ATL

From the check in to our departure this was a fantastic stay. Mrs. Sylvia was a great Host! The pics do not do it justice... This is truly a tropical oasis in Atlanta. Close to everything but next time we aren't leaving! Pool Table? ✅ Hot Tub? ✅ Big TV? ✅ Pool? ✅ Sauna? ✅ Full kitchen? ✅ Privacy? ✅ 5 stars.

Peaceful respite

The location was central to multiple work sites in Atlanta and that made this a great choice. The accommodations were peaceful and secure. The neighborhood had winding wide streets that encouraged easy walks to exercise. Sylvia was wonderful as a hostess!

Lovely retreat but a bit louder than expected

We had a lovely stay. I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet the apartment was when we arrived and somewhat disappointed the next day when we could hear someone talking on the phone, a dog barking, and a horned instrument being practiced in the room above us. I also found a pair of men's underpants under the bed when checking out. They were not my husband's. My only real concern was that I slipped in the shower on the mat while exiting the shower despite taking precaution to secure it to the floor before entering. That aside, the place is large. The amenities are great. The location is wonderful. Check in/out was a breeze. The owner was easy going. And you do have your privacy. So for us it was a solid win and I would definitely stay here again and recommend it.

Loved It

We loved the hot tub and spa room. Slyvia was very helpful. I wish the fireplace worked. The book were very dusty. But the positives about the place made up for it. I hope to stay again.

Neat retreat, close to Downtown and Stone Mountain but could use an update cleaning

I’ll start with the good-The pictures match perfectly! Great neighborhood- The best was the spa room(hot tub, steam room and sauna) we used it everyday/night! It’s very private! This is someone’s basement and it was cozy! Huge TV and pool table. Private parking and safe! Now for the 2 star review part-It could used a deep cleaning, looks like the house cleaner does minimal to keep it up. You can tell cleaning supplies were old and dirty, just thrown under the sinks- some has food particles on them. That was the disappointing part - not clean. We rewashed almost everything we ate off. We planned on cooking all meals here and would have if it was cleaner. Cabinets and walls could use a good wiping. The vents/ fan has thick dust and the carpet/couch had stains. A few pillows has rips and should be tossed- very old outdated books and games they were just dust collectors. All these things can be taken care if with a detailed eye- so don’t count this place out- cozy for a small family to just be with each other while seeing downtown ATL and Stone Mountain.

Relaxing Anniversary Staycation

We booked this place to have a private getaway close to home for our anniversary. We absolutely loved our stay! The hot tub was by far our favorite part! We couldn’t get the water in the steam shower to get warm but the steam got so hot in there it was actually quite nice to have the water a little cooler. Unfortunately we couldn’t get the sauna to work but we chalked that up to user error and just went back to the hot tub after a failed attempt at starting the sauna. The property is a shared space but we never even heard the owners. We had minimal contact through text with Sylvia and she was very pleasant and accommodating. The driveway is a bit steep and can be a little difficult to back out at night but there is separate parking for guests inside a gated area so you feel extremely secure when you stay here. We will definitely be checking for future availability whenever we need a little getaway to ourselves again!

Pretty good!

This listing served us well for our family vacation. First, I want to say that this is a someone's basement, and they live upstairs. It is never explicitly stated in the description, and I feel like that would have been good to know. We were not expecting to interact with anyone, so that was a little awkward at times. She was always very pleasant and helpful, our personal preference though is to keep to ourselves. Also, it made us nervous about the noise our children made, the baby crying at night, etc. Hopefully we were not too disruptive. The place was fairly clean, only a little bit of hair from someone else in the bathroom. It needed dusting, otherwise everything was really nice. Floor was clean enough that we felt comfortable letting the baby crawl around. It is dated, but taken care of. The labels on everything made everything very user friendly. What drew us to the property was the spa wing and the pool. We enjoyed both of those features tremendously. The only slightly negative feedback I have is related to the use of the pool. Once we were already there, we were told not to use the pool for an hour each night for 3/6 of the nights of our trip, due to a neighbor being told they could have their swim lesson there. Not a huge deal, but it rubbed us the wrong way since we had already paid a good amount to be there and use the pool. It would have been nice to know up front, or at least asked if that was okay since we were already guests. General feedback, cooking our meals was a little bit of a struggle with only one warped pot, and the loose oven handle. Couldn't find any potholders. We brought paper products to use to cut down on dishes. We also enjoyed the pool table, and having the use of the washer and dryer was very handy. If you plan to stay here with small children, there is no tub. We washed the baby in the large kitchen sink though, and he loved it. There is access to two toilets, one bathroom shower. I don't really count the spa shower, since it only had cold water. Overall, this worked great for our low-key family vacation. We were only 20 minutes away from the things we wanted to do in the city, which was convenient. The area is beautiful and green. We went for a walk out at a nearby park one night. The basement felt very spacious and overrall, we enjoyed our stay.
