We had a 6 night stay at Patong Tower in September 2015. The view is great, the loacation also is great, just a short walk to Bangla Rd and Jungceylon. This is not a hotel, it is an apartment, so we were not expecting too much in the way of supplies. But when we arrived after a long day of travelling, there was not even soap to have a shower. Fortunately they had supplied a half roll of toilet paper. Someone just needs to give a little more thought. The apartment has nice a kitchenette, but with absolutely nothing in the pantry like cooking oil or salt, it is not a worthwhile exercise to consider cooking yourself, as you would need to buy every small thing needed for cooking. When we arrived we noticed the balcony door could not be locked, this was not acceptable. But it was fixed the next day. A previous review from March mentions the fridge being noisy and continuously running. That was still the case in September. This was no doubt the cause of our very big electricity bill at the end of our 6 days. We had to pay 915 THB (152 THB per day). Or $6.10 AUD per day. Please take this into account when considering to stay here. You must factor into the tariff the large electricity bill. Because they are clearly not going to fix the fridge. The photos of the apartment were taken several years ago. The furnishings are still the same but everything has aged and is dated. The wifi drops out all the time requiring the router to be rebooted. A small annoyance. Perhaps other apartments in the building are better equipped. There is no way I would stay at this particular apartment again.
