If you are looking to escape the city and regain your connection to mother nature this little country cottage is for you. This cute cottage overlooks a 3 acre pond stocked full of fresh water fish for your fishing pleasure. While here you can fish in the pond, relax on the porch or go for a hike in the nearby woods. This quiet country cottage is the perfect place to catch up on your sleep with comfy beds, 600 thread count sheets, black out curtains. Sorry, don't allow pets for reasons of allergies of future guests.

Another awesome weekend in the country

We've stayed at this property twice now and loved it just as much the second time around. Its a perfect getaway for anyone looking for peace and quiet in a quaint country setting. Marlene is a great host and very responsive to messages. I highly recommend this property.

Quiet home

Stayed here for parents weekend at Benedictine. About 15 ish minutes from campus. My son caught a bass fishing in the pond!

Classic Lakehouse

We stayed here as a family and had a fabulous time and made really great memories together. We enjoyed everything about the house and lake. It was restful and fun at the same time. The hosts are really great and provide a terrific home that all ages could enjoy -- from the fully stocked kitchen to the games for all ages. The layout of the home is also a bonus -- the great room allowed us to be together and the downstairs provided quiet downtime as well as fun games to play together. It's a really great place to be together.

Beautiful country house

This place is exactly what we were looking for. Peaceful country setting but just 10 min from St Joe and all of the amenities of a city. We were greeted by the cows that came to the fence ever morning to say hello. We spent most of our days in KC sightseeing but this was a great home to come back to.

Graduation weekend in the country

We were remiss in booking a place early that would accommodate 5 people so this was the only place close to St Joseph that was available on graduation weekend. Although it was a little far out, it was a beautiful location. We were pleasantly surprised with the peace and serenity. We completely enjoyed our stay. The only critique I can offer is that the shower head was not functional for taking a shower. There was a message asking us not to move the shower head and it was pointed directly at the door and you could not get under the water.

President’s Day stay

Girls weekend

I was looking for a quiet place, close to home, for my cousin and mw to stay, for a nice, peaceful, weekend visit. Grandma's House was perfect! So quiet, a beautiful setting, and everything we needed at our fingertips.

Home Away from Home

Overall wonderful. There was a beautiful blanket of snow on the ground. However, the driveway was not cleared which created difficulty in driving up to the house. Also, the home was only 50 degrees when we arrived and it takes a while to warm up so that made for a chilly first night in the house.

Comfortable and cozy

We love to stay here. It’s clean, cozy and simple. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is equipped to prepare a simple meal and pot of coffee. The setting is peaceful and quiet. It feels like a home away from home when visiting family.

Perfect and Peaceful getaway!

Peaceful Farm House

This property was just as described. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the front patio and watching the stars and enjoying the quiet surroundings. It was a very peaceful get-away!

Bucolic setting

Bucolic setting. We enjoyed the lightning bugs at night and watching the cows during the day. Great view of the stars. Had a spectacular heat lightning show. Would certainly stay there again when in the area

Serene country setting

My husband and I wanted a place for some R&R. Our host was very prompt with our questions and very friendly and welcoming. The bed was comfortable and the size of the house was just right. We used the patios in the front and back to enjoy the weather and wildlife. The kitchen was equipped so that we could easily prepare our own meals. We enjoyed the antiques throughout the house. It was a very pleasant stay!

Peaceful relaxation

Beautiful property. Secluded and private. After the ice thawed on the pond, we caught several large mouth bass. We will be back.

Great Place In Kansas

I just want to say our stay at this beautiful property was great. We were visiting our children at Benedictine for the weekend and I thought it was going to be a long trip going to and from, but it took no time at all. The house was very clean, beds were comfortable and it was quit. I will be staying there again with my family.
